Horrible. When I phoned this individual he asked how many bedrooms I had in my home. I replied 4. He asked my address and I told him. He quoted me $275 for the complete service. It was only $25 I paid to do the job from a rival a few years back so I said we had a deal and he stated he would come out Monday at 8AM. Monday at 8am no show. 9am no show. 10 o'clock I called him and he said he was sorry and he was on a job last minute in San Carlos and he had the wrong number. I said no problem and I would still be waiting. James Jackson (owner) showed up at 1045. He seemed ok and stated to walk off my tank perimeter. He said the tank may be larger than he thought but never said there would be a higher price or made any reference to extra fees. He did all the work and suctioned the tanks. While the tank lids were still off the holes, he walked to his truck and made a call to the city to get the tank size that was on their docs. I heard the lady say it was 1500 gallons. James continued to sit in his truck as I was raking the yard. 10 minutes later he walked over to me with a bill for 375.00. That was 100 more than agreed. I said hey wait a minute you mean to tell me that you waited until the job was done to give me the news about this $100 up charge? He said that was a fair price. I absolutely was appalled that he would wait until that point to give me the news. I told him the right and professional thing to do was not start any work until we agreed on a price. I was still under the impression the price I was quoted was going to be honored. His tone turned aggressive and defensive stating that apparently I was trying to "STEAL SERVICES FEES FROM HIM". I laughed and said it was exactly the opposite and he was trying to steal from his customer. He threatened me that he was going to re-attach his hoses and DUMP 500 gallons of feces and urine back into my tanks if I didn't meet his NEW Price. I told him that I was opposed to giving him 1 dime, BUT, in an effort to avoid a confrontation and get him off my property that I would meet him half way and give him an additional $50. He declined the offer twice and started pulling the hoses off his truck and laying them back on my lawn. I was furious. I am a pretty large fella and I was not going to let him pump waste back into my tanks. I stated to pull the hoses off my lawn. I also sprinted to my phone and dialed 911. I was able to battle him and not allow the hoses into the tank. I could have really hurt him but I was trying to hold off for the police. When they arrived they asked me what happened. I told them what had transpired and the officer then walked over to get his story. He said it was basically a civil matter but in order to keep peace he would stay until he left the property. I told him that I offered him an extra $50 and he declined. The officer asked him one more time to accept the payment and move on and this time he chose to accept the money. I was furious but at this point I figured it was the best thing to do. He finished the job and placed the caps on the well and returned the grass while the NOW 2 police Officers waited for him to complete the task. They actually advised him to stay away from my property and forget the address. He clearly told him my desire that he never return to my property or I will defend my property and my family as aggressive as I need. They did convey that to him until he said he understood clearly what that were saying to him. This idiot has probably JACKED customers like this for years. Well today he ran into the wrong customer. Stand up for yourselves people and deal with the larger more reputable contractors.

Response from Clean Earth Environmental LLC
This is by far the worst customer I have seen in 25 year the man name is Michael not [Member Name Removed] When we give a price over the phone for a pump out we go by the info the Customer gives when the customer has a Standered 4 bedroom house under 2400 sq feet u have a 1050 gallon tank If you have a 4 bedroom that over 4000 sq foot home you have a much larger septic tank and this man did not tell us that shame on him he new what the deal was we let him know up front But this man is an A****** that did not want to pay for his job and he when's through grave lengths not to pay for the removal of his s*** Let this be a warning to everyone This Customer is the reason we get the money up front when we show up to do your septic tank pump out This Customer is a typical New Yorker that come down hear and screws everyone Customer like this use a different company every time because they don't want to pay there bill Anyone who want or tries to rip off or steel from the company removing your literal s*** should be ashamed I'n short This guy was a f****** a****** and should be put on a black list and sued for slandering clean Earth BTW any Septic installed in the last 15 years has a recorded permit and the tank size that how we new the tank size This Customer should have put on his review the size of his tank but then everyone would know he got charge for what he had pump out but he still rip us off then slandered us

Description of Work: Replaced a complete drain field. James removed, then working with an engineer was able to submit drawings for permit approval. He then rebuilt my engineered system and finished with sod that gave my yard a great landscaped appearance.

WOW!! This is the kind of provider you want. Called company to schedule pumping. Office staff was friendly, knowledgeable and made sure all the information was corrected. Initially said the truck could be at the house in one hour but called back to let us know it would be an hour and a half. The drive called a little over and hour later to say he was on his way and would arrive at the house in twenty minutes. When Marshall arrived he told us what he was going to do and kept us informed as the project went on. Marshall was knowledgeable and checked the float alarm and pump. He cleaned the filter, emptied the tank and cleaned up the mess in just over an hour. It is great to work with a company that is friendly, knowledgeable and keeps you informed about what is going on. Most companies would not have called to let you know the truck would be 30 minutes later or that they would be at your house in 20 minutes. Mos.t companies would not have kept us informed or gone the extra mile to check the other parts of the system. Marshall also referred me to the company website that has good information on your system. The coat was almost $200.00 less that the company that cleaned the system 5 years ago and they left a mess for me to clean up.
Description of Work: After finding from plumber that septic tank was full called company to have tank pumped out.
