+ -1 moreI called Al and arranged for him to come look at the boat. I told him that we had purchased a Groupon coupon and we arranged for Al to come and look at the boat. I asked about compounding and was told it was labor intense and would be extra if needed. I new it would. Al showed up on time and we agreed on the job. Fifteen minutes later his crew showed up and began the all day job. When they finished, the boat looked as good as it did 14 years ago when we bought it new. They did a fine job and cleaned up everything when they finished. To be honest, I didn't expect it to turn out as good as it did. Needless to say, I use them again and recommend them to my friends.
Description of Work: Due to health reasons, the boat had not been cleaned in over a year. The hull looked like like a combination of chalk and green slime.

+ -1 moreAs stated above, this man is a total con artist and tried to get out of performing the service as described on the voucher. Voucher read "completely wash and wax boats up to 26 feet in length (a $230 value)". We were very disappointed with his demeanor both in person and on the phone. Totally avoided answering questions regarding the printing on the voucher and said the deal was actually worth over $400. We would never ever use or recommend this company again.
Description of Work: Purchased a "Living Social" coupon for washing and waxing our 25 ft boat for $179. Owner came out to check out the boat and told us we needed to have it compounded to insure the wax would work. Told him we would compound the inner hull ourselves and he then scheduled a waxing date for the outer hull only. When told him that the inner area was NOT done, he said that wasn't part of the deal. After several phone calls to both Living Social and Boat Maids, he agreed to do the inner area, but wanted to charge us $50 more. Again called Living Social and he then agreed to lower it to $35, which we reluctantly agreed to.
