4 units of Freon was added to the unit before thoroughly checking the overall condition of the air conditioner. I was quoted $160.00 for that alone. Then it was discovered the drain pan was rusted out and to repair it would be costly according to the serviceperson. The invoice I was given didn't itemize materials, service or anything just a price of $305.00 was written. I wrote this company twice with no response. I wanted to know why the serviceman didn't check out the a/c before adding Freon which cannot be retrieved for further use.

The actual service was performed very well. However, the tech arrived almost two hours beyond the promised time and I had to call them 3 times to get an answer about the true arrival time. There were not any calls TO me telling me that he would be late. The job went well but the bill was high and then after paying it, I was informed that he had made a mistake and I owed another hour of labor. There was also a lack of an itemized bill, guess you just have to take it on faith.

As you can tell from above... our experience went well. My reason for writing this review is that our representative, Ron, was superior! With 30 years of experience in the field, you could tell he knew what he was doing from the moment he arrived. He made multiple follow-up phone calls, and followed thru until everything was right. His level of professionalism was far beyond I've experienced for a long long time! We also had Avis come out for plumbing on another matter. Again, service and professionalism was top shelf!! We would absolutely use them again... and would recommend them to anyone needing either a/c service or plumbing. Thank you Angie's List. I picked them after reading multiple reviews... and once again... paid off!!!

Called Avis Plumbing on Sunday, 6/19/2016, Fathers' Day at 8:30am. Arrived by 9:30am. Totally impressed by responsiveness. Drain clogged due to malfunctioning garbage disposal, simple fix... however, the additional advice was priceless. Problem was resolved in a very short time... couldn't be happier!! Our serviceman was, Michael. Very professional, courteous and helpful, reviewing other issues in our home... such as a toilet in guest bath, air conditioning issue... and other miscellaneous details. We will have him back within a few weeks, as soon as we can reschedule... and have him replumb the sink area.... installing new fawcets, etc. Will also have him reset a toilet in the bathroom... and restore our 4 year old air conditioning... which doesn't product significant cooling... which was due to 4 years of no maintenance, neglect, etc., by prior home owner. So far... every recommendation by Angie's List has been SPOT ON!!!! I would not only recommend this company, but plan to put them permanently in my contact list for all future services. Avis was called because our air conditioner was not working , the tech explained what the problem was and gave us a price We decided on a whole new unit . the technicians explained to us about the seers and which one will save us on our electricity each month. we have had the unit installed . The technicians Dave,Ron, and Rob were on time, very neat and very polite. Thank you again Avis keep up the good work .

Very good service,clean and professional

Pipes were placed too close to the roof deck. According to others in the trade, this never should have happened. When we had the roof re shingled, the pipes were hit by the nails and caused a major flood in the house. Avis Plumbing refused to pay any of the over $4000.00 in damages.
