Affordable Air & Heat

From scheduling the appointment to settling up after service was complete, Affordable Air was prompt, professional and put a focus on my comfort. Would use again.

Affordable Air is NOT AFFORDABLE. They refused to install a heat pump I bought for $1347, 9000 BTUs, 38SEER. Reason is they would charge TWICE the amount for the unit plus huge installation fee. Even though my unit comes with a Manufacturer's warranty their fake excuse is that the installation would not be under warranty. They also don't have 38SEER efficient heat pumps. Time to change the name to Expensive Air!

Our water heater went, Terrance was here that day to do a quote, and he installed a new heater the next day! Not only that, but he even re-did our hookups so they were proper. He did a high-quality, professional, A++ job, and I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND using Affordable Air and Heat!

I would caution anyone who is considering using Affordable Air to read the reviews and do their due diligence. I had been a customer of theirs under this and their previous ownership (they recently changed their name under the guise that they needed a new start given the reputation of the previous name of Climate Solutions - do a search on them and you should see some reviews). They told me they were sending someone out for my maintenance check as part of an existing agreement we had that I had not planned on renewing. Since I had never paid for maintenance checks prior because it fell under the maintenance agreement, I assumed this was part of the agreement. It was only after he serviced everything that I was told there would be a charge. See attached email. Dispatcher failed to tell me that this was start of a new cycle, and I figured it was part of the plan. They also left the door off the system and have refused to send someone as they indicated that "if he (the technician) had to remove the door to gain access he is not responsible to put it back" (see attached screen shot). I think the other issue I had is after I disputed the charge, they sent me a letter that told me I had until January 14th to pay the bill (the service was done on 12/19/2019) or it was going to be sent to collections. So less than 21 days to deal with this issue. What was more astounding is that I then was texted and emailed on 1/2 (so 14 days after the service) to tell me that I was going to collections at 5 pm today (1/2). When I explained that I was holding a letter that told me that I had until the 14th, the Collections Manager responded with an email saying "The 14th was a courtesy. I am not as nice as the local office.".... I find that companies that immediately pull out the "collections" card when presented with an unhappy customer are ones that clearly have integrity issues. Look, perhaps they are a good company for some. I am sure there are those who think they perform admirably. The technician (Daniel) seemed very knowledgeable and was friendly. However, I would just caution those who are thinking of using them to document EVERYTHING, and take photos and keep logs of discussions. See my attachments for the correspondences, which devolved quite quickly into threats when I challenged the practices and policies.

The installer team was efficient, quiet, clean and courteous. Because the install was only yesterday, we are monitoring the quality and effectiveness of the new install today. A couple of minor issues: 1) No manufacturer warranty and product information documentation has been provided for the insulation. 2) The work in the attic created a couple of cracks in the bedroom and bathroom interior ceilings.

They come here every 6 months and I have no complaints at all. They have been doing it for too long now and I am satisfied with the service. I would even refer them to friends family.

They did a great job. They dried everything and resealed with insulation from water damage. They service us repeatedly every 6 months. I couldn't be happier.

I called Affordable to come diagnose my ac as it wasn't cooling. They sent out Brad who was extremely knowledgeable. He showed me where my issue was with the fuse in the air handler. He replaced the fuse and the system was up and running in no time. I also requested a full maintenance on the system while he was there. He went thru my system and gave it a clean bill of health. I truly feel that I got what I paid for. I will be calling Affordable Air with any of my future AC needs.

The service was excellent. I got 3 bids to have my AC replaced and Affordable was the best. The guy that came out was very professional. I would definitely call them again.

Affordable came out that same day and got us up and running. Our power had been turned off in our new home because we closed like a month before we moved in. Turns out it was something simple and they charged us barely anything to get it fixed up.
