Scott The Tile Man

Scotty is a real nice guy, That's about it. He seems like an upstanding guy but professionally lacking skill for this trade. My showers are both a mess- not properly fitted with waterproofing materials. So I have standing water underneath the shower pan. I am having to have these both redone. Water was leaking out of my shower. He did not finish off things nicely. Grout lines are all uneven. Tiles are popping out- both from the shower tiles and floor tiles. Most unsatisfactory. I had him redo the floor of the shower TWICE! Still didn't get it right. I learned that he was not skilled and have moved on to get a trustworthy company to fix things. We thought we were saving money by going with Scotty, but we are paying for it now.

Scott was extremely professional and very quick in all categories. Great prices and outstanding work. He had to replace a section of drywall in a standup shower that had caved in and had the tile fall off. He did everything himself and didn't miss a beat. A real pleasure to do business with. I think I've found our handyman.

Scotty did a great job, was prompt, professional, skilled, friendly, and offered good advice. We were very pleased with the process and finished product. I would recommed him to anyone who is looking for a knowledgable skilled tile guy!

Overall, very well done. Scotty did miss a few areas of grouting but came back and fixed those areas. I would hire Scotty and Johnny again for future tile projects.

Scotty did not do industry standard work on our tile shower project. He did not cut the tile with a wet tile saw, causing the edges to be uneven and looked very bad. He installed the hardibacker improperly also, leaving gaps and open areas that would have leaked. He did not exhibit a professional tile installer's ability and level of workmanship. We stopped him at 75% of the project and requested a partial refund, which he did. We had to pay extra to have the work redone. This caused us to delay our move in date and additional costs for a simple project gone wrong due to Scotty's poor workmanship. He started out wrong and ended up losing lots of additional work in the future. Not reliable enough to be trusted alone on even simple projects. Not a "Tile Guy" for sure !

I live in North Carolina and was helping my retired Mom and Dad prepare their house for sale. From there I contacted Scott about removing the existing carpet from the spare and master bathrooms and replacing the carpet with tile. In addition, there were several damaged tiles in the kitchen. Scott responded immediately to my inquiry and understood the situation with my parents. He went to the house, reviewed the work required and quickly sent me an estimate and contract for the work. Throughout the process Scott kept me informed of progress and was exceptional relating to my Mom and Dad and with me. The work was completed on-time and on budget and was of a quality second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend Scott for any type of tile or flooring work you may have. Five starts all the way...wish he could work on my home up here!

A friend told me about Scott the Tile man so I decided to give him a call, I called him and he said he needed to come out and give me an estimate, he likes to meet with you to give you a full description of what he does and to measure all your floors, I had someone else measure my floors and they were 200 sq ft off.so he came and gave the ups and downs and we hired him right then and there, i felt comfortable with him from the start, So we decided when we wanted him to start , which was on a Saturday due to my work schedule, Scotty and his crew was there on time (with donuts)..They were all very polite and professional, Scotty told me it would take them 8 days and they were finished on that day, One of his workers helped me get all my grocery's in the house and also took my trash out everyday , I thought was very nice, They always made it easy on us and kept my house cleaned, My dogs absolutely loved them, which says alot to me, We are going to remodel our kitchen this summer, we will be using Scott the Tile man and his crew again, Our floors look absolutely beautiful Thanks Scotty and crew.
