On 22 June 2017 I called Florida Roof to get a quote for a roof repair. I spoke with Teresa Bruce. On 27 June 2017 Michael Santhuff provided a verbal estimate of $950. Mr Santhuff stated he was a subcontractor of Florida Roof and even though they were backed up, he would be able to perform the repair that day because he already had most of the materials in his truck. After the repair was performed Mr Santhuff provided a hand written receipt with the name of the company, his name and total amount charged. After the next rainstorm, the roof continued to leak in the same spot. Mr. Santhuff came out two more times to re-seal the problem area. The repair continued to leak. The next time Mr Santhuff came out he stated the area that was leaking needed to be sealed again and the ridge vents needed replacing. This repair cost another $1000.00 on 9 July 2017. Mr Santhuff provided another hand written receipt indicating company name, price paid , and contact information.The roof continued to leak and Mr Santhuff came out one more time to try and repair the leak. A couple weeks later after the roof continued to leak I was unable to reach Mr Santhuff. On 12 Sept I called Florida Roof directly and was told Mr Santhuff is no longer with the company. Teresa advised me she would send out someone else to try and repair the roof. She also advised me Mr Santhuff was an employee not a sub contractor and was taking jobs and pocketing the money. She apologized for me not being able to reach Mr Santhuff and explained he was on her cellular plan but she had to take him off and disconnect his phone. On 3 Oct a gentleman name Mike came out and re-sealed the problem area again. Mike stated if this does not work he would have to remove the shingles in the area and re-do it. On 11 Oct Mike came back out and re-shingled the problem area. On 23 Oct I contacted Florida Roof and spoke with Teresa to let her know my leaking roof issue persists. I was advised by her that her Manager Kevin decided they will no longer be responsible for repairing my roof. Teresa advised me that because I did not have the “Official” paperwork from their office, there is nothing more they can do. I stated the company sent one of their employees to perform a service that was never completed and I had spent nearly $2000. She stated they never received the money and each time they send someone else out to try and fix the problem they are losing money. I asked for a meeting with Kevin to discuss options like getting a roof replacement at a possible reduced rate and their business practices in general but sadly have not heard from this company again.

All went smoothly.

In 10 years I have had my roof replaced 5 times, and this company finally did it right. Kevin was the most knowledgeable I have ever met. I am happy happy happy!

Properly accessed the problem, handle the repair and cleaned up properly. Came within a short time and made repairs and was billed appropriately.
