We have been using Tree Care by Robert Miller for over 20 years. We have always received great service from them. Our last service was completed by Jose and his very capable crew. They completed all the work we requested and then some we had not thought about. Afterward, they made sure everything was thoroughly cleaned up. We have had Jose and his crew several times before and they always do an impeccable job. We have friends who have used other companies who were not happy with the results. Remember the old adage. You get what you pay for. Overall, we are very pleased with their work and would highly recommend Tree Care by Robert Miller.

The work done by this company was NOT acceptable, and their treatment of us as customers was downright appalling. We are in our mid 60’s, yet the young head of the crew, Jeff, who he said is married to the owner, freely called us “f****** liberals” because we were annoyed that they drove over a gopher tortoise den while haphazardly whizzing around in their Bobcat whic was not supposed to be on our prpperty at all. Jeff began the day by telling us rudely and repeatedly that their job estimator “lied” when he told us that they would not be using motorized equipment on our job. They then proceeded to drive their equipment every single place they did work, running tracks all over our lawn, spewing limerock off our driveway, and leaving high piles of machine-pushed debris even though their estimator had told us all logs and brush would be carried into the woods. In working on our large live oak, they were to cut only one large branch, and we carefully went over this with the estimator and Jeff, but they cut TWO large branches, and there’s no fixing that once it’s done. Once you sign a contract with Robert Miller Tree Care, the young punks move in and do whatever they want and act like the land is owned by THEM, not you. They don’t know how to respect another human being, so how could they possibly know how to treat a customer? They don’t have a clue, and they don’t care.
Response from Tree Care by Robert Miller Inc
"My son was in a horrible accident so I did not see this until now. I clearly remember this job. Our estimator did not price the job for us not to use equipment! It is stated right on the work order you must express this at the estimate to price the job accordingly. What they wanted was 2 days worth of work for the price of one. We also do not " leave stuff in the woods" unless the property has been verified to be the customers at the customers request. We remove all debris from our job sites. Also, Jeff went over with the husband where he could use the bobcat. Only after did they complain and demand to "do free extra work" to make up for the upset... They are looking for free stuff. We cannot accommodate fee work for people who are trying to take advantage. We do free work all the time for the elderly and needy but not for people who are scammers. I wish we had a site like this to report bad consumers. These people would have been at the top of my list."

The work done in the yard was okay, not as detail-oriented as I would have expected given the high quality they say they strive to provide. The customer service, however, was absolutely atrocious. Despite having proof that I had spoken with their staff (Dorothy) and left a message regarding the completion of the job and delay in payment (13 days; we had a family emergency forcing us to go out of state during the covid-19 pandemic the day before job was done, returned 5/11 and check sent in via mail a day later). They denied having any record of these conversations on their "EXCELLENT phone system" and "industry-specific software program," the owner, Mrs. J. Zellers was uninformed within her own business: stating I was never in contact, again, despite having emailed her proof of contact. She was immediately aggressive and rude; she accused me of absconding on payment and made a thinly veiled threat regarding a lawsuit. IMHO save yourself the money and abuse: Use ANYONE else.
Response from Tree Care by Robert Miller Inc
"First off we are the ONLY tree service that accepts payments for services with no additional cost to the customer but we are EXTREMELY lenient with our payments. All we require is the customer keeps in communication with us. You where left SEVERAL messages and sent SEVERAL invoices. Our industry-specific software alerted us that you not only received the invoice but also opened it and read it without responding. Your work was done on May 6th we did not receive ANY communication from you until May 17th. On this day I sent you a message stating you are leaving us not option but to believe that you do not intend to pay your bill. If this is the case and we have to get our attorney involved you will have to pay their fee as well. Tell me [Member Name Removed] what would you think if a customer refused to return any phone calls 10 days after services are rendered? I was not hostile but matter of fact. On the 18th when i received your check it was dated for the 12th - would it have been so hard to actually call our office and let us know you stuck a check in the mail? Had you done that I would be attached to your file in our software and I would not be writing this response now."

The crew of about 7 men arrived at around 8:30 am and the crew leader did a walk-around with me to make sure we were in agreement about everything that needed to be done. They brought 4 trucks with them, including a bucket truck, as well as at least 3other pieces of heavy equipment - a small fork loader for moving heavy sections of tree trunk, a large wood chipper and a remotely operated stump grinder. One of the large turkey oaks was in our backyard, within about 10-15 feet of our house and about 5-10 feet from our backyard fence, which required use of a bucket truck to safely remove the tree without unnecessary risk to the house or fence. A crew of 3-4 men worked on this at all times. One man was up in the bucket - he secured each branch or limb section with rope while cutting off smaller limbs and large sections of branch. 1 man was on the ground holding the end of the rope to guide the descent of each branch as it was cut. 2 other men helped with spotting and with catching and lowering the branches, then cutting them up and hauling them away to be chipped. After that tree was removed, one man brought back the remote-controlled stump grinder and ground down 3 stumps in our back yard, including the one for the large tree they had just removed. He then leveled out the chips that were created by the grinding. As that crew worked, other 1-2 man groups cleaned up the dead limbs and branches from a number of other other trees in the back, side and front yard and took down two smaller trees on the side of our house. Finally, the crew took down a large turkey oak in our front that was starting to die at the root and lower trunk. They felled the tree safely out toward the sidewalk and road, away from the house and driveway, then cut it up and chipped the pieces. As the work progressed, members of the crew cleared away the branches and raked the yard so that, other than the chips from the 3 ground stumps and 3 stumps that we didn't have ground down, the yard was completely clean of limbs, leaves and debris with no sign that the crew had even been there. Even for the stumps we did not have ground down (because they were in flower beds), the stumps were cut cleanly and evenly, leaving just a few inches still protruding from the ground. The entire job was completed by around 11:30 am (in about 3 hours' time) and was performed in what looked like a safe, professional and efficient manner using appropriate equipment. All vehicles and equipment appeared to be clean and well maintained, and each crew member was properly identified by a Miller Tree Care shirt. They also appeared to use safety equipment, such as heavy work boots, eye protection and hard hats when called for. We used Miller Tree Care last year to do some tree removal and cleanup prior to hurricane season, and were glad we did - we had a few stray branches down in our yard after Irma came through in September 2017, but no trees fell and we had no large branches down or damage to our home or yard. We hired them again this time because we were pleased with the work they did for us. We also used them because we prefer to have this kind of dangerous work done by licensed, bonded and insured professionals who have a demonstrably good reputation with other customers. You pay more for these services than you might from other casual services, but you have assurances that the work will be done safely, properly and by skilled professionals. We think it's well worth it. Note that we did get another quote from another tree service. They quoted us a few hundred dollars less, but it was for doing less work - they did not have the crews or equipment to actually remove the two large, dying trees in our yard that we were worried could fall on our house or cars during a storm. Their quote was just for removing the smaller trees and trimming back the large ones. We would strongly recommend Tree Care by Robert Miller based upon our two experiences with their excellent work and professionalism.

We used these guys for the 2nd time and again they did an awesome job. The first time was to remove 12 large trees and they did such a great job we had to have them back to remove 2 very large oak trees, one hanging over our house that was hit by lightning last week and another over a barn that was starting to lean a little too much for comfort. I was a little worried about how they could take down 70ft trees like that, but they made it look easy. Wow. While they were here we had them take out a few more trees, grind all of the stumps, and when they left the place was completely cleaned up. Very professional and highly recommended. I'll definitely call them again if I ever need help with a huge tree.

I can't say enough good things about this company and its employees. The office staff who scheduled my appointment for an estimate were professional and extremely pleasant. On the day of my appointment Mitch (the estimator) arrived on time, spent a good deal of time with me going over the process, and provided me with an accurate estimate. The work to be completed was scheduled and the crew arrived on time and immediately began to work. It was clear that the crew was experienced and were very careful about not causing damage to my property. The areas where the work was performed was cleaned and leveled. The crew worked throughout the day and completed this large project in a very expert and efficient manner. The crew also spread the mulch from the cut trees throughout my property, going above and beyond what they had to. This is the second time that I have used this company and both times the experience has been great. I highly recommend them and will not hesitate to use them again for all my tree needs.

They came out and gave is an estimate and had it scheduled in no time. Now we can breath knowing this tree will no longer be a threat to our home. Not one guy on that crew sat idle, they actually did other trimming off from over the house. Very professional company. From the representative to the office staff, and most importantly the crew. Very respectful and hard working. I would definitely use and recommend this company over and over again. Very happy!

My goodness, I think there were at least 6 or 7 people who came out to do the work. I've got 6 big Queen Palms and they have to clean them all out and cut them down everything. It didn't take them long with that many people - I think they were done within an hour. They do the climbing of the trees, they have power saws that they cut the palm prawns out with, also any boots that are left on the trees and they also clean out the blooms or anything that starts coming up. Then they haul all of that stuff off, they bring a wood chipper type of thing with them and they just get rid of everything. That is very professional and they take pride in their work. I wouldn't have hired them agian if I wasn't completely satisfied with them.

This was my first time hiring a tree care company since I moved to Brooksville a few months ago. Although I’m of the opinion that the “you get what you pay for” saying is not always an accurate statement (every once in a while you get quality for less), I have to say that in this case I paid for quality and I received quality service. When dealing with very difficult and dangerous tasks such as removing trees that are too close to your house, you should expect to pay what is reasonable based on risk. Quality, excellent customer care and professionalism, all that and more I experienced with Tree Care by Robert Miller. To begin with, calling the office to arrange for a free quote was very easy. A real person answered the phone (not a recording like the many others I called) and arranged for a visit for an estimate. A few days later, as promised and on scheduled time, Mitch came to my property and provided an estimate of costs. He took the time to discuss the options with me and suggested the best course of action based on my needs and budget. I was provided with a written estimate explaining the work to be performed and appropriate cost. It was a surprise to me when I read the line indicating I didn’t have to pay until 100% satisfied. That right there you don’t see that often. Needless to say, after some due diligence I called Mitch back to schedule the work. He told me someone from the office will be calling me in a day or so to arrange the date and to my surprise it was the owner (Jovan) who contacted me. On the day of the service, Anacleto and the rest of the team (5 other people) arrived punctually and spent the day doing the tree removal and cleanup. Watching these men work was amazing, each performing their assigned tasks and wasting no time. It was obvious that they take safety very seriously. They all had appropriate safety equipment. They ground the removed trees and branches as they went along. Afterward they completely cleaned up the yard and all debris was removed. The only thing I had a minor issue with was some minor damage to the asphalt on my drive way. Not very significant, but nevertheless something I though I’ll had to repair myself as I’m conscious of the fact that when you are having a job of the magnitude of the one done at my place, with all the heavy equipment moving around, things like that could happen. That being said, I was very surprised when Monday morning (job was performed on a Friday) I received a call from Jovan indicating someone was coming to my house and will be taking care of the issue. Keep in mind that the call came after I had already signed as satisfied the day the work was performed, so this tells lots about the company’s reputation and pursue of 100% customer satisfaction. You don’t see this that often from most contractors. It was a pleasant surprise and a reassurance that I made the right decision. Going forward, I’ll only trust my next tree work to this company. I can’t thank Tree Care by Robert Miller enough for the incredible job done. Special thanks to the team also for being very professional and for taking customer care to the next level. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional tree care company. Can you find someone to do it cheaper? Probably. But to me, the cost was well worth it for the peace of mind of having a reputable company working on my property. Too much was at risk to hire a less qualified provider.

Four men showed up with all of the equipment needed to do the job quickly and efficiently. The tree was topped by one guy in a bucket truck while the other 1 cut, shaped and trimmed from the ground and the other 2 guys picked up the limbs, racked leaves and small trimmings and run all of the trimmings through their shredder. All was done quickly and efficiently by a very friendly crew. It was the best $250.00 I have spent in a long time. They are my FIRST choice when I need tree service again!!

I tried to arrange to have my tree removed through several contractors prior to settling on Tree Care by Robert Miller, Inc. The professionalism was a breath of fresh air after dealing with no call backs, lack of commitment to a date, and general unresponsiveness of other contractors. Tree Care, by contrast, showed up on time for their estimate, provided excellent advice from a certified arborist, provided a date and a price while on site, was punctual when returning with an army to remove my tree, and left the space spotless less than 2 hours after arrival. This company has an excellent work ethic, and performs as though they value their clientele.

The company and its representatives did an excellent job. They came out before the day of the work to provide an estimate of costs and the work was performed in accordance with the estimate - no extra or hidden costs. They arrived punctually on the date of the service and spent the better part of the day doing the tree removal and cleanup. They worked in a safe manner, using appropriate guide ropes to assure that no branches hit the roof or house. They ground the removed trees and branches as they went along. Afterward they completely cleaned up the yard and, but for the places where the old stumps were ground down, you couldn't even tell they had been there - the yard was completely clean and all debris removed. I would definitely recommend Tree Care by Robert Miller. You could probably find a company that would do similar work for slightly less money, but they are licensed, bonded and insured (including for workers' compensation) and that was very important to me and my husband. I thought the price was well worth it for the peace of mind of having a reputable, licensed and bonded company perform the work.

They arrived as scheduled and started working finishing up later in the afternoon. It was a big job removing the trees and trimming the others. Cleaned and raked up leaving no mess from cutting the trees. Yard looks much nicer after the trees and palms were trimmed. Everyone was very polite and professional and I would have them back again without giving it a thought. They did a super job and we are happy!

Awesome! A crew of 5 guys showed up with chipper, reviewed which trees, and hit the yard running. They wore hardhats for safety and had a person at the bottom of the ladder into the tree to keep it safe. Cleanup was the best. They raked every stray branch and leaf and blew the driveway clean. As they drove away on our very narrow street, they knocked down a mailbox and stopped to repair it. I would have an annual contract with them if they had one. They were awesome!
