Eddie's Sod

I had two pallets of sod delivered today and the grass was nice and thick and seem to be good quality and the owner himself actually dropped it off to us and spent probably 45 min explaining to us how to lay it and how to take care of it and just helped answer some of our other lawn and garden/ landscaping questions we had. He really took time with us and made us feel good about our new grass, he was a very personable guy and his wife is very helpful as well. I usually don't write reviews but I have read a couple negative comments about them and I really think they must be from the competition or robots because anyone I ever spoke to who used them only said GREAT things about them and their company and a few bad reviews can hurt a company sometimes and that's not fair just because some people will never be pleased no matter what you do for them, we see this everyday in our country and I know that if I had the situation I read prior happen to me then the order would have been cancelled all together I would not have let them do it and then talk bad about them later..... I know they must be doing something right because they are EXTREMELY BUSY and I know they only pick the best pieces to sell their customers as well!! Thanks Again Eddies Sod, you will have our business from here out and anyone else who we may know who could use your services. Dear readers don't let these bad reviewers discourage you, just look around on other platforms they are on and look at all the positive reviews.

Very unorganized. Fumbled 2 scheduled appointments to deliver sod by not contacting us to inform us what was going on. We had to call them and find out why they didn't show up. Wasted over 8 hours of our valuable time waiting on them. Then when they did show up they claimed it would be an extra $400 because of gate size issues. So much for "best prices around". They were told TWICE NOT ONCE THE EXACT size of our gates before giving a price. We've lived here over 20 years, put in our own gates. We know what size they are. The gentleman that came out the second time around, 8 hours late, was no gentleman at all. Not knowing I was standing on the porch used fowl language on the phone. Not very professional. Then proceeded to argue with us, the customer, about information he didn't even gather. Information that suddenly was buried in 6 books of notes, according to the office staff. Really? In this computer age. Notes should've been with the customer's order. I have my own small business. When I make a mistake I eat the cost. It's proper business. I don't argue with my customers. I don't use fowl language no matter how upset I might be. I ALWAYS contact my customers if I'm running late. Eddie's sod was the worst display of professionalism I've encountered in years. Looking for sod stone gravel or the like? Find a company that has more respect for their customers and some integrity. If we don't demand integrity from any size business they WILL think nothing of wrongful business practices.

This company did not return follow up calls concerning this job, the excuse being that the woman doing the scheduling had been so busy with other duties. After two weeks of no communication from this company, it is evident that this company lacks professionalism and is unreliable.
