Absolutely the WORST customer service ever received in my home. BUYER BEWARE

Great. He diagnosed the problem as a leak in the public water line and not the well plumbing. He arrived within an hour , assessed the situation, referred me to an awesome plumber, and would not accept any money for his time at my home. Incredibly professional young man.

Excellent service and response. Mr. Carter quickly assessed the problem and repaired in a matter of minutes. After water was flowing again he found a leak which he promptly repaired. Very impressed with both the service and the price. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again if necessary.

Well stopped working and Carter's responded within an hour. It was determined to be the pump and they replaced the pump that same day. Great job!!

They came to my home within an hour of making the call, and replaced the control box and got my system back up and running, he tested the pressure tank and told me it was only operating at about 50% efficiency, then suggested I replace it, was hesitant to do so cause I felt it was pretty pricey ( after researching the cost of the tank after the fact I found he gave me a very fair price on it). Im glad that I did cause it significantly increased the water pressure I was seeing in my home. Did a great Job. I don't recall the exact date but I believe this was over a weekend as well.

They did not charge me anything. He was right here in a flat and very friendly. I still don't understand why they did not charge me - I tried to pay him and even argued with him a little bit but he said it was taken care of. He has been out here before and worked for hours trying to solve a problem caused by someone else- he had it straightened out but it was not easy or quick. He does good work and he is very honest and very fair. I can't say anything bad about him. He is exceptional as far as well dealers are. He was here in 16 minutes. I would not use any body else.

He was very honest, friendly right on time and super fast- a real strip over person. He did not charge me anything- it was paid by the advancement on my house and I have no idea what he charged. I will not use any well person besides Mr. Carter .

They came out within the time frame that I was provided in the initial phone call. He was professional, informative, and well exceeded my expectations. I was very pleased.

Carter was very responsive when we called at 10:00pm. He promised to be there the next day. He was prompt and ready to work. He restored our water and evaluated the damage to the filter system. We were given an estimate and a choice of tanks. His prices were in line with the going rates. Carter returned the next morning to repair the filter system. It took about 2 hours. When he was finished he allowed me to video him as he gave me instructions to maintain the equipment! Carter's honesty, skill, and knowledge was refreshing!

My husband and I rely on angies list to access quality providers and until this experience we've been very satisfied. John Carter promptly responded to our call which we appreciated since our well needed replacement. Our neighbor was kind enough to share his well with us until our well was replaced. Carter indicated he had another project ahead of us but we were under the impression the work would be done BY HIS COMPANY within a reasonable amount of time. At first Carter remained in touch with us. after two weeks elapsed we had to contact him. At that time he was giving us no date certain. We were ready to contact Angies list when without notice men came on to our property and commenced to drill. Those workers who were courteous and informative completed the work. John Carter never appeared during the well drilling and replacement. We were told by the workers (from two other companies) they had been subcontracted by Carter. We (and our neighbors) had to wait from 3/22 to 4/29 to have our water restored. Carter showed up the afternoon the subcontractors finished, to get paid. He was paid in full. The work was originally priced at $4050, with additional $ if more drilling was needed. The final cost was over $7097. The only reason Carter receives an overall of C is the work and attitudes of the subcontractors. Fortunately our neighbors are still speaking to us!

They were excellent. He gave me a fair price. He was here about an hour and gone and it was fine. I was pretty satisfied the the service. They did a good job.

I called Carter late Saturday after the water stopped flowing. The pump still turned but it couldn't be primed. The person answering the phone was knowledgable, not just a phone answerer, and immediately thought it was the valve, etc. underground. It was almost dark . A Sunday appointment was an extra $50 but he said the parts and other labor would be the same, so we set up an appointment for the next day. When Carter got here he immediately got to work with his 35 ft. high truck crane and pulled about 45 feet of pipe out of the ground and replaced the defective parts. It took just a little over an hour to get the pipe back in and less than 2 hours for the entire job including testing. I was surprised at how fast it went. He also gave me some advice on adjusting the pressure valve and general things. (I had always fixed any pump problems myself, but this underground stuff was beyond me !) I also think my holding tank might be defective (slow air leak) and we discussed how I could check it later and he gave me a quote on replacing it if needed. So, all in all, I was satisfied with the service. PS. He also checked the water depth with a string and weight and found that water went down to at least 165 feet !

Mr. Carter came on the previous Friday and checked out the situation. He gave us several options and said he would check out the availibility of replacing the motor or just replacing the whole pump. As the pump was well over 40 years old, we opted to replace the pump and it was the right move. He was unable to get a new impeller for the old pump. He also said gave us additional information about water tanks. He called and emailed us to give us the estimates to do the job. We contacted him to go ahead and he said he would be back on Tuesday to do the job. Early Tuesday morning, he called to advise us that he had to assist someone who was without water and would be a little later getting here. He came before noon and had the job completed within an hour. We were very pleased with his professionalism and promptness. We would recommend Carter's Pump and Well Drilling Service to anyone in need of this type of service. He certainly knows his trade.

Lost our water. Called this company and he was here within an hour. He spent quite a bit of time to determine we actually did need the well pump replaced rather than a simpler repair. Was very courteous and professional. Really not sure if the price was reasonable however in looking at other prices on-line, it appears it was in line with other companies.

I was pretty pleased with them. It worked out okay for me. I have a big lot and where the well was was kind of a wooded area so it was not really much of an issue for me if they tore up the lawn and yard and that sort of stuff. When you need a pump repair or a well re-dug, you get pretty desperate with what is going on but they made time for us and came out. They did it pretty quickly. Price wise, I think that they did not give us a whole bunch of discounts so we paid for the service that we got. But I thought that it was a pretty good service.

I discovered I had no water the morning of 10/4/2012. I looked up on Angies List and found this company. My phone call was answered immediately. Mr Carter was very courteous on the phone. He said he had one other call ahead of me then he would be my way. He was at my house with in several hours. He found the problem and was able to repair it right away. Mr. Carter was clean, professional, and I feel very reasonable for emergency service. I will not hesitate to call again if needed.

Went on Angie's list and found Carter's Pump and Well. Well pump was leaking and the switch needed replacing. We called and John came out the same day to see what needed to be done. He had to order several parts and came back to do work in 2 days. All work was done in an effective manner.

, Water stopped flowing through the faucets suddenly. I checked the usual - reset circuit breaker in the panel, inspected the outside breaker, visually inspected the pressure tank (which read Zero) and the external wiring, which is inside a pump house. Found a recently killed frog by the wiring. John showed upon site about an hour after I called him on a Sunday morning. He discovered the problem immediately and cleaned the switch contacts. The well is functioning again. He was very professional, fast, very informative, and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. Total time on site, about 15 minutes. Total cost $85.00 My highest recommendation! Would definately use him again.

I called Carter's to come out and look at my well to see if I could attach a Bison hand pump to the well. John stated that he had experience installing hand pumps and would be happy to take a look at my system. After looking at our existing well he was able to determine that our existing well casing size was insufficient to handle our jet pump and the Bison hand pump at the same time and so we decided on drilling a new well. We signed the contract with Carter's pump and well to have them install a new water well for us. On June 8th John Carter showed up at 9:00am and got right to work drilling the new well and completed it by 3:30pm. I was very pleased at how quick the service was completed. John also came back out the following week to service my jet pump as the pressure gauge was broken and the settings were not correct. John took care of that at no additional cost and even put on a nice liquid filled pressure gauge. I could not be happier with the whole setup and my expectation were exceeded. I would highly recommend Carter's Pump and Well to everyone. Thank you John for your quality work.

I called Carter's because we were experiencing what I perceived as pressure issues. My name and address were taken and was informed I could expect a visit within the next few/several hours. Surprised and appreciative of the fact that 1 hour later they showed at my house. They were courteous and engaging. I actually enjoyed the visit! Used Angie's List to find them in the first place and was not mislead. Glad to know a local vendor I'll feel confident to call anytime there's a need.

At first I thought the irrigation system, had something wrong with it. So I called a lawn irrigation man. He came out ran some test and was nice enough to say it was the well pump. He could have sold me a story but was honest. Carter's wells and pumps came out and found the problem and we discussed all of the options and settled in what would be the long term best solution. ecellent.

He came out at a moment's notice and worked late, in the dark, to make sure we had water. He was very busy, it was the weekend but he was able to get here and help us.
