My mother took my Nissan Cube to get the rear driver tire patched due to a screw that laid in flat over an inch away from the wall. They ordered a tire and charged me $150+. While they were nice, they listed a list of items that they wanted to do to my car, didn't patch the tire when it could have cost just $20 or less, and tried to sell me on an alignment stating that my tires would go bad in just 2 months, plus the other list of items they wanted to perform. When I go to any services shop including an auto shop, I expect that they will show me what they found, what needs to be done to fix it, why it needs to be done that way, and the cost breakdown of what that covers, and walk me through future or proposed services. None of this occurred. I am working full time and a full time student that doesn't have time to waste; this is the only reason I just took the tire change. I will not return to this location again, and perhaps avoid Sears altogether in the future. I will note that they did call repeatedly to let me know the tire was in, gave me a key lock explaining that I need it in the future in case I did not know that (because they couldn't find and didn't ask for the one already located in my car that was an original from the dealership I purchased the car from), and smiled a whole lot. Services altogether took about an hour of time. Location is convenient at the mall.

I bought the air conditioner through Sears. So I would use Sears because I have a warranty. The people that they contracted did an excellent job. The workers were good too, the guy did a really good job replacing the air control. They did everything on the day they said. I had the guy come out and do a whole heating survey of my house beforehand so I got the right sized air conditioner. They came on the day that they scheduled to come out and upgrade.

The cost was too much. I would advise people not to do it. The windows are terrific. I have a little bay window in the kitchen, and those windows were in there very tight, and when they took them out, they did some damage on the inside walls around the windows, and they also covered the weep holes on the outside, so when water would hit the windows, it wouldn't drain. It took them till last Monday for them to finally come out and finish the walls, that was 7 months later and after I called and called and nobody called me back. The product is fine, but the response time, the knowledge just sucked. There were some issues with the bathroom too.
Description of Work: I used Sears for windows and bath remodel. They installed the windows in February, and they did the guest bathroom too.

It has not worked since the day we bought it. We keep having to wait eight days to have them fix it. They've come twice and it's still not working. They're supposed to swap it out today. We have gotten horrible customer service and the manager didn't care at all. We should not have to wait 16 days for a brand new refrigerator to be repaired. They're even making us pay an additional $300 to swap it out for a different refrigerator.

Description of Work: I was in front of the jewlery counter and fell on a sticky substance. I was not provided with the information needed to get medical care. When I approached the general store manager, she refused to provide me with the information: claim number, incident report, phone number for insurance company. When I complained about her attitude and asked for the Sears regional manager contact information she refused to provide that information either. She would not tell me who her boss was. She said they were very concerned with whether my fall was my fault or their fault. I will never purchase or shop or recommend that anyone shop at the Sears at Brandon Town Center Mall Brandon Florida for any reason. It is a dangerous place to shop when they show so little concern when a customer falls bangs up their knee and has a hairline fracture in their elbow because they didn't keep their floors clean. Also when they give you such a run around, they don't value the customer.

My refrigerator, cooktop, and wall oven are 25 years old. They need service periodically. The washer and dryer are only about five years old but because they are on Pergo flooring, they get off balance. I get Sears in about once a year to get them leveled out. Sears has a strange habit; I called for service for my refrigerator, washer, and dryer and I wanted it to happen on the same day. They wanted to send a washing machine guy out and then they were going to send a dryer guy out and then a refrigerator guy. I told them to call their dispatch back because I didn’t need specialized washer care and specialized dryer care. I just needed them leveled and checked to make sure everything was okay. They couldn’t really understand why I didn’t want three areas of expertise. My head hurt by the time I got done explaining it to them. Their prices are reasonable because, so far, I haven’t had to pay for anything. They’re nothing special but I haven’t had any problems with them.
Description of Work: I use Sears for warranties on my television, refrigerator, cooktop, wall oven, and washer and dryer. It’s for the things that I can’t easily take to a service shop. I pay an annual fee.

This refrigerator is on sale during the 2010 holiday season from every major retailer. There is a reason in that it's essentially junk. The ice machine works very slowly and is hit/miss. Sometimes it works other times no. The magnetic closures on the door are an abortion. The doors stick open unless forced closed. The normal method of closing a refrigerator door just doesn't work, rather it's a chore. Alarm failed to routinely work, hence the door would be ajar and cold air was pouring into my kitchen. Expensive way to air-condition the home.... The real issue though is the extraordinarily poor customer service from Sears. In a word I'd say these folks could be summed up as "Thugs". This really surprised me as I had always understood that Sears?s customer service was top notch. Not any more! Once we realized that the refrigerator was junk, after about 5 days, we contacted Sears to return it in accordance with their stated 14 day, no questions asked, return policy. Well think again...we were called liars by customer service who basically refused to refund our money. After hours (yes, literally hours...) of hassling we finally found a manager who tried to resolve the return. Interesting to note that even after the manager authorized the return other Customer Service reps still argued that we should incur a variety of extra charges, adding up into the hundreds of dollars. I now understand that what Sears means when it states a "no questions asked" return policy. What they're saying is that the customer better not ask any questions. The refrigerator was returned a week ago and still no refund though I suppose that expected based on the lack of competency that seems to be so prevalent at Sears. Bottom line: This refrigerator is pure junk. Stay clear and spend the extra money on a better one. We bought Samsung afterwards and couldn't be happier. I will never give Sears another penny. They have become thugs and thieves. Based on what we experienced I'd be surprised if this review is published. That's ok though as it will also be sent to the BBB, Angie's list and the FL State Attorney General's office.
