three days agomy Air conditioning when out. The technican came here turn the system on and off and it was working again. He siad there is nothing he can do if the system is working and to call back if it goes out again. Yesterday the air condirtioning failed again so I called the company. No one answered at 4 in the afternoon and said to press 1 for the after hour service. I did that and I got a message that the number was active. .I have been calling this company for 24 hours. No one answers. The phone system said to leave a message which I did. A technician did call me back and said he could not help me and he told me to call the office for an appointment. I told him I have been trying for over 24 hours and no one answers. He said "thats not my fault". When I asked him to call his boss and tell him no one is answerig the phone he said "thats not my fault". I hope this company goes out of business

Angler Air was a referral from a friend. They diagnosed the A/C issue as needing a new evaporator coil (Trane) which was a couple thousand dollars! We initially requested an itemized invoice prior to commencement of work and were told ?we don't do that?. The job was quoted as a ?2 hour job? and was unsatisfactorily completed 5 hours later. We ended up contacting the office multiple times (spoke to owner Tish) regarding our ongoing frustration and dissatisfaction, however she chose not to always retruen our calls. The technician (who had only worked for the company for a few weeks) left the premises multiple times to gather parts as he was unprepared, as well as made personal calls and smoked in his truck in the driveway several times. I had to go outside twice in my bare feet carrying my 15 month old baby to search for the technician!!! I clearly stated to the technician that we were not happy with the work being performed, and we immediately contacted owner Tish regarding our frustration while he was still on premise. Another technician (Ryan) was sent out the following day and we were advised by him that the first technician should have insulated the work he performed as we were experiencing severe condensation on the front of the unit. Additionally, the first technician soldered through a pipe because he was on a personal call at the time. We advised both owner Tish and Ryan that we were not pleased with the work performed, the overall treatment from the company (the secretary told me on the phone that my husband "is the rudest man ever" and hung the phone up on me!), and the time it took to complete the job which greatly exceeded our expectations. I requested to Ryan that the secretary call and apologize to us, the paying customer, but that never happened. I would not use Angler Air again nor would I recommend them. Initially they seemed like a nice company, however it turns out they have no concern for quality, customer satisfaction or respect for others. This was our experience after a REFERRAL FROM A FRIEND WHO IS FRIENDS OF THEIR FAMILY!!! Can you imagine?

The technician was on time and looked at the unit. He said we would need a new AC coil because there were holes in it, and that he would call the home warranty company to get the part ordered. He estimated it could take up to five business days for a new part to come in - this was communicated to us on Sunday, August 31. Monday was a holiday (labor day) so we did not hear anything as expected. On Tuesday, late afternoon, I received a call from the home warranty company informing me that the technician said the ac unit had been maliciously tampered with and that somebody had punched holes in the coil. Therefore, no part had been ordered, and this would not be covered by the home warranty. We requested a second opinion. Another company (Burgess Air - who are fantastic by the way), came out right away. Their technician looked over the unit and said we had a leak in another part of the unit and he could easily repair it and put in some freon. It was a $750 repair vs. a $3,000 repair (quoted cost for a new ac coil). The AC has been working great, and most of the repair was covered by the home warranty company. My main complaint with this is not only the lack of knowledge on how to properly repair an AC, but also the lack of honest communication. If the technician knew he was going to report the AC had been vandalized and never had any intention of putting in an order for a new part, that should have been told to us on Sunday when he was at our house. Instead we were left with no AC in the Florida summer for three more days. I feel this company is out to gouge people, they were dishonest, unprofessional, and seriously inconvenienced my family. I plan to post an awesome review of Burgess Air so they get the credit for wonderful service they deserve but do yourself a favor and stay away from Angler.
Description of Work: We have a home warranty on a house we recently purchased. The air conditioning was not working so the home warranty company sent Angler Air to our home to inspect the unit.

Had called them once ...there was a leak...tech determined I needed a part (an expensive part) Month later there is a leak "again" tech claims it is now another part Month later there is a leak "again" this time lasted a few months. Had to call someone else and was told they did a seriously shoddy job and I needed a new AC and should have never spent money repairing it. Second opinion same thing said. Third person ...looked on Anglie's List and bought new AC and we are VERY happy with it.

Description of Work: i cannot understand the negative feedback regarding this company. My a/c went out three times recently and the company were most responsive. The initial cost was $165 and I took a maintenance agreement for an additional $150.00 for two additional services in the coming year to be sure the unit continues to function at peak performance. Obviously you have to maintain a/c units before things go wrong! Bryan was exceptional and went the extra mile to make sure I was cool and comfortable - thank you Angler Air!

I was assigned this company through my home warranty. I wish they worked the weekends since on these summer days it is crucial to get your a/c working promptly. I called on thurs and didnt get an appt till Monday I contemplated just calling another comp instead of going through my warranty but we waited it out. They were able to work around our schedule on Monday and came through. The tech troubleshooted the problem checking wires and capacitors and changing out parts and got it running but when he left it stopped working again. We called back but we were not able to get an appt until Thurs. It was fourth of July on wens sucked more days without ac. On thurs he came back and he was able to finally figure out what the problem was and changed it right on the spot and it has been working since with no problems. thankfully he had the parts in his van because i would of hated to have to spend more days without a/c
Description of Work: The a/c stopped running and they came out and fixed it. I think he said it was the motor.

We have a home warranty contract and required an air conditioning repair. The Warranty Company set up an appointment for Angler Air to come out within 48 hours. They were very knowledgable and explained exactly what the problem was and what they were allowed to do under the Home Warranty for that visit. In our situation it was a problem that might come back and the Home Warranty Company does not pay for the heavy duty fix until it fails for a second time. THAT IS NOT ANGLER AIR POLICY IT IS THE HOME WARRANTY RULES THAT THEY ARE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW. We elected to pay for the heavy duty fix and not wait to see if it failed a second time. Portions of the home did not seem to be cooling evenly so a second call was made at no cost to us via the Home Warranty Company. Once again good service very knowledgable. They expalined what they would have to do to fix the problem and also told us how it could be fixed on our own. It involved moving an air duct etc. We then wanted to have the unit cleaned so that it was operating at well as possible. As always they communicated well on the arrival time and the unit is working better after the cleaning. Customers need to understand when you are obtaining service from a Home Warranty Company (as was the case with the first 2 calls) then the contractor they send (Angler Air) is working underthe rules of the Warranty Company. The people who came out to service our air unit know exactly what they are doing with air conditioners. Thank you!

This is the worst a/c company I have ever worked with. Our home warranty company sent them out to do repairs to our unit. They arrived on a Monday within the 24-hour period but a few hours past the window they required us to be home. After inspecting the unit, the mostly friendly tech told us a gauge would have to be replaced and it would have to be ordered from the manufacturer. When I asked how long that would take, he got noticeably upset and frustrated with my question. I think this is where customers start to yell at him for things he cannot fix on the spot. He told me to deal with the office since they are the ones who order the parts. He mentioned the office would call me to discuss options the next day. On Tuesday, the company did not call me, so I called the company. They had already ordered the part and said it would take 3-5 business days. They did not offer me the option to pay for overnight shipping. So my wife, 5-week-old child and myself lived in the 95 degree heat the rest of the week. On Friday evening, they called to tell me the part was in, but there was no way for them to even pick it up that day from their shipping center. They said they would install it Monday afternoon. When I asked about the weekend, they said they do not work the weekends (important to know if you have any serious work that needs to be done that might carry over from a Friday). We waited another three days in the 95 degree heat for the service tech to come out (late again by several hours). He insisted that he fixed the unit and that we would not notice any cool air for several hours due to the heat. This seemed awkward since this rather new unit could lower the temperature in our home 10 degrees in a few minutes, but we went with his insistence. After three hours of waiting, there was still no cool air blowing from the unit. Since the office was closed, we contacted the home warranty company to request service again. They said Angler Air would call us before 9AM the next day (Tuesday). This being nine days into what should be a simple repair, I contacted Angler at 9:15AM on Tuesday to get an update. They could provide no relevant information as to when someone would come out. I stated that if no one could come out that morning not to send anyone at all. They agreed and ended the call. This is the greatest level of incompetence I have dealt with in the last 20 years and my first negative report on here. At no time did Angler show appreciation for our situation and our patience. Their inability to offer us the overnight shipping option on a part is outrageous. Who wants to sleep in 95 degree heat for a week when they could pay shipping for a part and have it fixed in two days? Every other company I have ever dealt with places some priority on customers who have been poorly serviced by their techs. If Angler is so busy, they should not accept offers form the home warranty company. If you want to be without air for weeks at a time, I highly recommend using Angler Air.
Description of Work: Our a/c unit stopped blowing cool air and was freezing up on the return line. Gauge was replaced to supposedly fix the issue. After eight days of incompetence, we terminated service with the company without it being fixed.

It took them 4 days after my initial call to send a tech. Took a week to order and receive the necessary part. Sent a second tech to replace the part - He said the first tech had underscoped the job and he could not complete the task. The next day the secretary said that angler air could not perform the service. The next day I was told they could complete the task, but at an outrageous addditional charge(over $800.) I callled a competent repair facility who responded the same day and completed the work within 24 hours. Their charge for the part of the job that angler air could not do - then could do for over $800 was under $200. It appears after reading other reviews that angler air is capable of providing simple routine tasks but I would beware of using them to do anything beyond everyday service.
Description of Work: Nothing Helpful. Response was extremely slow - Took them nearly two weeks to determine that they couldn't complete the job - but did not refund the service fee.

This customer has a home warranty company. They pay a deductable and the home warranty has to approve any repairs. We were only working within the guidelines of his home warranty and what they would approve. The customer was given an estimate for the work the home warraty would not cover. He was under no obligation to have the non covered work done by our company. If he is not happy with the home warraty company he would need to address his concerns with them.

Description of Work: I called this company for an estimate to install a mini-split ductless air conditioning heating system. They scheduled an estimate and gave me a time frame of 1-5. At 5, I called and they said he was running late but they would page him. He called back and said he lived in our area and would stop by on his way home to give the estimate. He never showed, never called. I stayed at the house all afternoon waiting and did not appreciate the waste of time. I never received a call from them afterwards to reschedule. I would not use a company that is not professional. My time is just as valuable as theirs.

I came home after a long day of work to find a miserably HOT house. I got on Angie's List and started calling around to see if I could find a company to come out that night. Angler Air promptly returned my call and within an hour or so, one of their techs, "Jamie" came out and fixed the compressor. He was a very nice guy and very professional. He had the compressor fixed in no time! I'd highly recommend this company.

Secretary was very efficient at getting someone out...Tech's personality was nice, but was very quick, was not thorough, jumped to conclusions without reading reports from a previous a/c technician who had done a diagnosis. Thought everything was ok without checking things out (system is 94/95 system). Left without telling me he was leaving and without giving me any documentation. My air does not work and home warranty will not cover now because of this.
