Stillman's Tree Service

We had a rocky start getting the appointment times straight as I wanted to be present when the work was performed. In the end, however, Andrew (the owner) sent a couple guys to perform the work exactly as I expected. Megan sent a card apologizing for the miscommunications. I think overall it is rare to find someone who will go the extra mile to make sure the customer is completely satisfied. I am altering my original recommendation because my overall experience has changed. I will use Stillman's Tree Service again when the trees need trimming and have already shared my experience with neighbors who have asked about my trimmed live oak trees. Thank you Andrew for taking the extra steps to get me what I originally wanted; cleaned and trimmed trees at a set appointment time when I was present. Though my original experience was not satisfactory, your follow up and my overall experience exceeded my expectations.

The estimate was very reasonable. The employees were prompt, courteous, thorough, and made sure that we were satisfied at several stages of the work. When the work was complete, they cleaned up beautifully. Everything looks well manicured! Thanks!

My request for a quote on the removal of these trees was responded to the same day I made it. Everyone on the team was polite and professional. The work was started within days of my acceptance of the proposed contract and completed the same day. The mess was completely cleaned up - not a twig left! The only reservation I had when the job was completed was addressed by a personal visit from the company's owner within hours of my inquiry. His proposed resolution of that issue is still in progress but I have full faith it will be satisfactory. (If not I'll update this review ;o)

The crew arrived promptly at 9:30 am and, after brief introductions, went right to work. A little more than two hours later the tree was gone, the wood was gone...in fact, every twig and branch was gone. And this was a 40 ft. tree in close proximity to utility lines! Stillman's crew was efficient, professional and highly skilled. They left the area where the tree had been cleaner than it had been before they started. I highly recommend Stillman's and will not hesitate to use them again if the need arises.

I highly recommend this company. They were very nice on the phone and prompt in coming out to give me an estimate. They trimmed branches on a large oak tree in the front yard and shaped it beautifully. They did a great job of cleanup and left the yard and drive looking great. I will call them every time!

The crew was on site about 8 hours. The dead palm removal required the most time and expertise.

Steve and Fred were on-time, polite, professional and did a fine clean-up when they were done. We will definitely be using Stillman's again.

We were saddened to have to remove the tree, but Stillman's made the process easier with good service and professionalism. We contacted Andrew Stillman and requested an estimate. He sent Jim to quote the project the next day. We decided to give them the job. Originally we thought we could save about 70% of the tree (30% had already turned completely brown). That afternoon, we evaluated the green part of the tree and observed that many limb tips were developing brown leaves, and these were scattered throughout the remainer of the tree. We realized that the remaining 70% of the tree was also dying. We contacted Stillman who sent Jim out a second time and gave us a price quote to remove the entire tree, grind the stump, trim some branches on two additional trees and blow leaves and debris off the roof. The quote was fair and we gave them the job. Within an hour, two workers came to our home and began removing the tree. They worked quickly and completely removed the tree, trimmed the other two trees, cleaned up the lawn, driveway, etc., and hauled the tree away. Later the same afternoon, Tim Bannister (Big Dog Professional Stump Grinding) arrived and removed the large remaining stump.

They were prompt. Called ahead to let me know they were coming. They were very polite and friendly. There was not even a twig left in my yard. They cleaned up everything and blew off the driveway and front walk. You pay AFTER the work is completed so you can check it out before you settle up. I will recommend and use them again. Very pleased

They did an excellent job. We asked for the oak wood to be cut in smaller pieces and they did it with no problems (lots of good firewood.) They did everything we asked for and more. Cleaned up so well, I don't think we had a pine needle left. Would I use them again. A Very BIG YES. Price was fair, but you always want to pay less.

Stillman's did a great job trimming our trees! The price was fantastic, and we are more than happy with the quality of work performed. Everyone was professional and hard-working. I will be recommending them to family and friends.

Andrew Stillman was very helpful in my first call to him. He sent Jim to evaluate and quote the job, and Jim also was helpful in explaining options for addressing a tree that should not have been planted so close to houses. After we decided to engage Stillman's, the removal crew was out the next business day to do the work. The crew worked quickly and cleaned up thoroughly on completion of the removal. Stillman's arranged for a stump grinder (Tim) to complete the job, and TIm likewise did a very professional job. The tree is gone, and we're very pleased with how smoothly the process went.

This is the 3rd time we used Stillman's Tree service. Once again we were very pleased with the work and cleanup. These guys are the best. They removed an Oak Tree that was next to our driveway. The following day Andrew had his stump grinder guy come out and grind the stump below the grass level. First class service.

I've used a lot of service providers at my new home in Sarasota since moving here 4 months ago for various jobs and Stillman's was, without a doubt, the best I have used so far. The crew that was sent out to prune and trim over 60 trees was amazing. They took pride in their work, was professional and punctual and kept me informed of the progress for the entire 4 days they were at my property. They overcame some equipment issues and didn't use that as an excuse to stop working. They worked through some adversities and finished the job on time. Not only was the job finished on time, but they did a spectacular job. Did I mention they the crew took pride in their work??? I would use them again and again and would recommend them to anyone. Oh, and the price beat their competitors by 30-45%. We got three quotes and they were the best, by far.

Had to call back a couple times to schedule someone to come out but they were very nice and did a great job at a very reasonable price. Will definitely use them again!

They did a good job. It's a good thing my wife speaks Spanish as she had to tell some workers what she wanted them to do. She had to keep an eye on what they were doing to keep them from cutting off too much. They did a good job cleaning up and hauling away, but not a great job, as I had to still clean up under the trees and places throughout the lawn.

Called Andrdew that day came to my house that day gave me a estimate. Started work the next week (needed a permit 1st from the city and the guy who signs them was on vacation) had to wait because of that. Then the crew came started working stated originally would take about 2 days finished in a day in a half. When they were finished it was amazing my back yard looked twice as big than before. The entire crew was very polite and professional they even went the extra mile and helped me with other things. And when they went to clear out my palms in the front they were very understanding in waiting till the screech owl left before cutting them back:). And as for cleaning up when they were finished my yard was cleaner than before they started. I will definitly use them in the future and would recommend them to use also. Thanks guys!!

I purchased a "big deal" promotion and got $400 worth of tree services for $199. This was an amazing price! They cleaned up more than they cut down (some leaves in the yard) which was a nice bonus. The trees look great. They asked if I liked their work before leaving (they would have cut more if I wanted them to.) Overall, I would call them again in a heartbeat! The only reason I gave a "C" for punctuality is because we had an appointment that they needed to reschedule - it was never rescheduled... they just showed up at my door one morning.

On time, courteous, reasonably priced, complete cleanup. Will definitely use again.

Jim Stillman came out for an estimate soon after my call. The estimate was higher than my deal but we easily reached an agreement. The crew came out a few days later and completed the job efficiently and to my satisfactionthe. The work resulted in a contract from one of my neighbors.

It was the first time I had used them. It went excellent. It was 5 guys working for about 5 hours. They did exactly what they were asked to do. They were very responsive and came on time. They cleaned up very well and I'd highly recommend them.

I had an estimate in my hand 24 hours after I requested it via e-mail. The work was scheduled for a week later but Andrew Stillman called when an earlier appointment became available. Although I could not be home for that appointment, I agreed to the date change. The work was done right away and it was perfect! Everything was picked up and cleaned up and the yard looked better than it ever had. Andrew came to the house to pick up my check and noticed immediately that the amount was incorrect - too high! The discount had not been properly subtracted from the total. A new check was written and everyone was happy, especially me. I highly recommend Stillman's Tree Service for their professionalism and courtesy!
