Description of Work: cut down large pallm tree and trimmed another. It turned out that the large tree was quite healthy and didn't need to be cut down.

Description of Work: My experience with Stillman's Tree Service was positive from beginning to end. They provided a free estimate for the removal of several large vibernum shrubs growing up against a pool screen. The shrubs were removed on the day scheduled in little more than an hours time. There was no damage done to the pool screens or irrigation (which, unlike other services, Stillman's guaranteed to fix, if damaged, at no additional expense to me). The shrubs were hauled away, the area raked and holes filled with dirt. I was amazed at the crew's speed and attention to detail in removal and clean-up.

Description of Work: Andrew and Chris came and gave us an estimate. They were very reasonable compair to other tree services. They trimmed 4 big oak trees and 2 on the neighbor's side that were on our roof. they did an excellent job. They were promp and throughly cleaned the yard of all the debris. After seeing the work, my sister also hired them to trimm her oak trees.Thanks Chris.

Description of Work: I called a couple places to get an estimate to have one tree (oak) trimmed. Both places said they would have someone get back with me to perform the estimate. One place never did. Stillman's called the next day, and let me know they were already by the house, and left an estimate in the screen door. He explained that he also left an estimate for removal and griding in the case I later wanted that done as well. The estimate seemed reasonible ($175.00 for the trimming/raising) so I called to have the service performed. I mentioned that along with the raising (inner trimming of branches to open up the inside) that I wanted the overall canopy trimmed so the oak wasn't as tall and wide (all the ugly outer branches that stick out). I was informed it would be an extra $50.00 for the additional trimming to make the diameter of the tree about 5 feet less. Within a couple hours, a crew was on site and performed the work. They were fast and cleaned up as they went and left with no issues. I later went out to inspect and noticed that the diameter work wasn't performed. I called them and they man I spoke to (Jim) appologized for the work not being done, stating that there must have been confusion on their end. He promised he would have it fixed and about 1/2 hour later, a crew was back and performing the work. This time I was there and oversaw the work and they were again fast and efficient. The ONLY thing that I didn't like, was that they used a saw on a long pole and it could only reach so high. that being said, none of the top of the tree was completed and some of the higher branches on the side are still sticking out and ugly. I mean to call Jim back and inquire about this, but forgot too do so and by the time I remembered, I figured I had waited too long and just decided to mark this one as something to be more cognizant of in the future when explaining what I want done. I would use Stillman's again, based on their courteous demeanor (even the crew that cut the tree took the time to give me information about the tree and future maintenance/problems it might need). But also for their VERY prompt response times.

Description of Work: They removed an old orange tree from my back yard which had grown up and threw the power and phone lines. They cut the stump even with the ground but did not grind out the stump. Although they did drill several holes to facilitate the stump decomposition. All in all, I was happy with the service and price and would definetly use these folks again.

Description of Work: We called Andrew, originally, to remove a old rotted oak...GREAT RESPONSE, PRICE AND PROFESSIONALISM. Since then they have done 2 more jobs. Always great...highly recommended.

Description of Work: Gabe went around to all the trees (15) that needed pruning and gave an analysis of why he would prune in a particular way. He also gave suggestions for fertilizing and applying insecticides for the future health of the tree. Gabe and his crew did a wonderful job, and we highly recommend them.
