THIS COMPANY ALSO ADVERTISES THAT THEY DO DRYWALL REPAIR, SO I CALLED AND SPOKE WITH STEPHEN ABOUT AN ESTIMATE. HIS ATTITUDE CONVEYED THAT SUCH A SMALL JOB WAS NOT WORTH HIS TIME. HE WAS HURRIED AND INATTENTIVE AND STATED THAT HE WOULD CALL ME THE FOLLOWING DAY WITH AN ESTIMATE. I QUESTIONED HIM ABOUT GIVING AN ESTIMATE WITHOUT SEEING THE WORK, AND HE STATED THAT HE COULD DO THIS. NOT SURPRISINGLY, HE DID NOT CALL ME BACK.
Description of Work: THE DRYWALL AROUND THE PERIMETER OF MY PORCH CEILING WAS DAMAGED DUE TO MOISTURE. IT NEEDED TO BE RETAPED AND TWO CRACKS REPAIRED.

Linda Shannon called me regarding her needs and told me she lived in Parrish. Based upon our discussion, the job appeared to be small. However, given the fact that I'm located in Sarasota, I was hesitate to spend over an hour driving just to submit a bid for a job I most likely wouldn't have gotten. If my understanding form our conversation was accurate, the job would have required three separate trips to her home. One trip to do the repair, one trip to re-texture the area and one trip to paint the ceiling. So at that point I would be approaching the job from a minimum trip charge for each trip plus expense perspective. After figuring out how much I would need to charge, I knew Ms. Shannon would be able to find a local company that could do the job for less. If nothing else a local company wouldn't have to charge travel time and gasoline as I would I living in Sarasota. I should have called Ms. Shannon back to decline the job. She was pleasant and I apologize for not getting back to he
