Would NOT recommend! Poor service and 100% lack of response to correct the issue. I used this company to update my wind mitigation inspection November 2020. The inspector was only at my home for about 20 minutes and before leaving said, "Okay we will see what your insurance company thinks of these photos. Sometimes they can be picky." Come to find, my insurance said the inspection had insufficient photos and for me to get the credit, needed to have the inspector take photos of all windows and doors. When I attempted to contact Peace of Mind via email, they replied with a simple, "I will forward this to the inspector" and did not get a response, even after following up to the same email 2 weeks later. I then called Sheila at the main number. She was very apologetic and said this was not to their standard of service and will address this right away. I did not hear from them for another 2 weeks and when calling Sheila back, she barely remembered the original conversation and we had the exact same conversation, which this time was less encouraging to me. This time, she wanted me to prove that my windows were impact rated and I had to go around and take photos of all my windows and labels to even get them to agree to come out to repeat the service I already paid for. When I refused to take photos of all my window labels and asked for a refund, they refused.

These guys charge a lot of money. I called them to clarify a simple comment on the report for an electrician I was working with and after 3 calls they still have not returned my calls. Simply unacceptable. They told me "we're sorry you feel this way" not we're sorry. Crazy don't hire them.

Cannot say enough good things about this company. We have used them twice now in the last 6 months to perform a home inspection. First house, we did not end up proceeding with just due to the issues the inspection uncovered with the home. Thankfully we spent the money up front and found out what we were dealing with to make an educated decision. The second time we used them was this month on the home we are currently under contract on. Their inspectors are friendly, knowledgeable, professional and thorough. The staff in the office and answering the phones are polite and always available to answer any questions. You are truly getting your moneys worth when ordering a home inspection through Peace of Mind. For the current house, I have had to get Peace of Mind out three times due to a disagreement between us (buyers) and listing agent as to the work needed to pass a 4-point. Each time they have come out to Reinspect, they have taken their time and are thorough. This last Re-inspection, they uncovered that an outlet the sellers capped off affected 2 other outlets, a closet light and bedroom ceiling light. On more than one occasion Peace of Mind had to get on a phone call with our realtor and the listing agent to go over our inspection report to get the listing agent to understand what needed to be done to clean up the 4-point issues. To say the process with this listing agent has been a headache would be an understatement. Nevertheless, I cannot thank Peace of Mind enough for the service they have provided and going above and beyond just a simple home inspection. You will not regret ordering a home inspection from Peace of Mind. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a detailed home inspection.

We hired Peace of Mind to inspect the home we were buying. My wife is a realtor and we have owned many rental properties so we have extensive experience with inspectors and know good ones from bad. As we moved here from out of state, we took the recommendation of our realtor. Peace of Mind was the worst inspector we have ever encountered. Normally, you have to deal with inspectors being too nitpicky and finding way too many minor, normal issues. Peace of Mind's inspection was very cursory and missed many things that ended up costing us a lot of money once we moved in. Their response to all of it was that it all happened after the inspection. On top of that, when I tried to talk with the inspector to review the report, they wouldn't even get back with me and I had to have our realtor call the owner to finally get a callback and the inspector was cocky and rude the entire call. Here's a rundown on the problems they missed: Sprinkler system was listed as in Good Operation and had one picture of a few sprinklers turned on in the front of the house. When turning on the sprinkler system, one zone had no pressure at all and water was running out into the street from the valve box. Another zone had low pressure and had a head completely broken and spraying water into the air. The drip irrigation in the landscaping had numerous cracks leading to low pressure and water spraying out of those cracks. Total cost of repairs was $1200. When I inspected under the kitchen sink, I found a leak coming from the Instant Hot Water dispenser. Luckily it was caught early before any permanent damage - plumber bill of $700 for this. On the pool system, the seal on the pump cover was leaking so that when you turned off/on the pump water would spray out of the cover - we noticed the pump would struggle to start and after we moved in, the capacitor failed and had to be replaced. Then the motor gave out completely - covered by 2 Home Warranty visits - $200 deductible. Then the spa remote units by the pool equipment failed - total cost $860. Peace of Mind stalled me for months before finally telling me that they are sorry but everything was working fine when they did the inspection and all of this happened after their inspection. This company ended up costing me a lot of money which should have been covered by the sellers if the inspector had did their job and caught these items and their refusal to admit responsibility is deplorable. Don't use these guys - there are so many good inspection companies out there - avoid this one.

After we paid the overpriced fee (found out later they were much higher than other inspectors) we found NUMEROUS problems. First ,the entire kitchen which was remodeled ( the seller claimed he had a permit) failed miserably to meet the electrical codes. There were exposed wires and non dedicated circuits. There was an OPEN WATER LINE behind the refrigerator which gushed out into our kitchen warping cabinets. There was an enormous leak under a bathroom vanity. There was a non working electrical outlet in a guest bath. He did not even examine the pool, the pump was malfunctioning a week after we closed. Our realtor recommended him we expect she got a kickback.

We ordered a home inspection for Nov 14 for the estate the owner to be used as a sales tool for perspective buyers. They were prompt and reasonably priced. No problem with the facts found and reported. However, there were numerous personal opinion comments inserted throughout the report that we felt did not belong in a factual report of this nature. We immediately asked to speak with someone about this language. Management finally called Dec 11. The upshot is they are not going to remove or even modify any of the opinionated comments. I would not use them again nor would I recommend this company to anyone looking for a home inspection.

They found significant problems with the roof and the gas cook top. and made certain they were repaired. This turned out to be very good service. However, they had the Good New Pest Control business check for insects and other pests. This turned out to be a disaster. The Good News people did not go into the attic because they said they did not have a tall ladder. I believe that an inspection of an attic would be mandatory in Florida, considering the termite problems. Also, most higher-end Florida homes have high ceilings Five months after we moved in the home termite droppings were found on a window ledge. We had this spot treated. The termite control company went up in the attic and found many very old roof rat droppings. The color of the droppings indicated that this infestation had taken place long ago. We paid the termite control business around $2000 to eliminate the droppings, check for live rats, and close up entries to the attic from the roof. Now, nine months later more termite droppings were found. The termite control people determined that the home had suffered an old leak from long ago that attracted dry wood termites that had been there for a very long time. Now we have to pay for the dangers and expense of tenting our home for a cost of around $6000.
