He was very efficient and on time. The work was very good.

Everything went extremely well, All work was performed in an exceptional manner.

They were nice, on time, and quick. The only thing I didnt like was the extra fees.

It went ok. Was disappointed that although the scope of the job was clearly explained, the electrician still needed to leave during job to buy materials, such as a "box and cable wore'. Seemed a bit ridiculous, especially since they charge by the hour.

It went well, they were very responsive and were able to come do the work quickly. The workmanship was good and I would hire them again. The only thing I didn't like about the experience was that I purchased the 2-hour deal and I hadn't thought through what other work could be done. The ceiling wiring that I thought was messed up turned out to be fine so there was a lot of extra time left. We made pretty good use of the time but when I do this again I'll just hire them straight rate.

The work went beautifully: 10 light fixtures -- 5 indoor and 5 outdoor -- were replaced within 90 minutes. The work went smoothly, and the service was professional. Couldn't have had a better experience.

Allan arrived and quickly went to work. He installed my new light and smoke detector and even disposed of the empty containers.

I apologize for my comments regarding the communication issues. You did respond promptly to my note asking about a refund or credit. I just didn't see the response. Now that I am aware of all the logistics that go on between a company and advertising on Angie's List, I understand the reasoning behind not being able to get a credit or refund. Allen did a good job with the lamp post, in the rain no less, but it probably would have been better to just reschedule the project. I felt that he was rushing through the project and that made me feel a bit devalued as a customer. But, that's just the way I feel and in no way reflects on his performance in completing the job.

Upon calling New Dawn Electric, the customer service was excellent. Allan's wife was both knowledgeable and friendly. When Allan arrived, he went right to work--he was quick and efficient. I would definitely hire this company again to do all of my electrical work. VERY pleased.

Allan was punctual, polite, and professional. I appreciate that he took the time to test some of the outlets, and even gave me a brief block of instruction on the building code. Now, I know why one outlet is meant to have a lamp plugged into it, and there why there are no light fixture installed in the ceiling.

Very efficient, honest and quick. Original quote was higher based on his assumptions of time to complete but once completed he revised the quote and only charged the time he was there. Great to find Honest, Affordable and Reliable work! I will definitely hire again should I need too.

The technician was friendly, efficient and knowledgable. We had purchased an Angie's List Deal that was $169 for two hours of work and almost our entire wish list was addressed. The entire experience, from booking the appointment to the time New Dawn Electric wrapped up their work was excellent and we would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician!

Over the weekend I began having problems with the electrical outlets, light switches and ceiling fans in the upper floor of my townhouse shutting off because of a electrical short. I found New Dawn Electric on Angies List. Purchased the Angie's deal for 2 hours of electrical work on Monday night and received a email from them later. Was able to talk with them this morning, they said they could schedule me in on 08/31/15. I explained that I was going on vacation and was worried about leaving the problem that long, the person I talked to said she would check with Allan to see if he could fit me in sooner. I received a call back and spoke with Allan, he said he could be there around 12:45-1:00 pm. When he arrived he was very professional and we went upstairs to check the outlets and switches. He checked all the outlets and switches for where the problem was. He found the problem with a outlet that was buried behind a bookcase. He showed me where the wiring was melted & burned. He cut out that part of the wiring and replaced the outlet. Everything was working fine after that. While he was there he checked & replaced a outdoor outlet that was also not working. The whole process toke about 45 minutes. Even though the deal was for labor only he did not charge me for the parts. I think it was a good value for the cost.

All that I approved was handled expeditiously in less than an hour.

Kelly in the office is a real pleasure to deal with! Within the two-hour "deal" time, the electrician performed almost all of the work on my list (minus any safety troubleshooting) and one or two basic additional tasks. He answered my questions as he worked efficiently from one floor to another. I was left with just one thought. On a large truck, I wonder why I was told that they do carry standard wall switches but do not carry dimmer switches. I've never heard of such a thing. They're so small, basic, inexpensive, and so frequently used. I certainly would have paid extra for the switch (if on the truck) rather than stupidly have the electrician drive to the hardware store, as offered, during the 2-hour appointment time. I'm sure that if this weren't a "deal," I would have been provided with and appropriately charged for a dimmer switch. Next time, I'll make sure I have ALL of the basic materials on hand in advance so I don't have to hire someone else in the future to come out and swap it, such a minimal task. As it is, it will be more economical to wait until I have another list of electrical or handyman things to have done, which may be years. In the meantime, I'll think about it every time I turn on that light. Make sure you know, in advance, exactly what you need for the job so you don't have to depend on the electrician to carry any materials or take the pre-paid time to drive to purchase. When you schedule the work, think ahead and ask questions about basic materials you'll need to purchase. This work was performed in Ellicott City, Md., and not in Florida. OF COURSE, YOUR COMPANY TREATS ANGIE'S DEAL CUSTOMERS DIFFERENTLY AS DIRECT-PAY CUSTOMERS. THAT'S ASSUMED WITH THE "DEAL." THAT'S WHY DEAL CUSTOMERS HAVE TO THINK IN ADVANCE TO HAVE ALL PARTS ON HAND OR TAKE TIME OUT OF THE TWO HOURS OF electrical labor FOR TRANSPORTATION TO PURCHASE. Now that you responded, I'll note that your electrician got a bit testy with me as it got closer to the two hour limit. Otherwise, I wouldn't have commented as so.

Their office was quick to respond and get us on the schedule. We had a very accurate estimate before the electrician arrived. Allan arrived and was easy and pleasant to deal with. Looked at all the projects and laid out his approach. Worked neatly and efficiently keeping me informed of things he observed in attic and other places. Made great suggestions and was very aware of being cost efficient in taking care of our future projects. Will use them again without hesitation. Have already recommended them to family and friends.

Allan called to let me know he was running a few minutes behind, even though he was there within the window he had promised. He was very professional and helpful. Additional work has been scheduled.
