We certainly got our money's worth. Mr. Quickel was running late, but telephoned right on time to let us know. Our old house (1926) has had many electrical modifications, so sorting it out was a challenge. He had to run up and down two and sometimes three flights of stairs to figure out each circuit breaker, in two different boxes. In spite of it being late, he took his time and did a very thorough job. He also took the time to explain everything well. He evaluated all the potential safety issues, and told us what would be needed to have all of our outlets properly grounded. He pointed out things that would need changing, before an inspector would sign-off on a building sale. Our son has training as an electrician and could tell that Mr. Quickel is thoroughly knowledgeable in his field; son appreciated Mr. Quickel taking time to explain some technical points. We were relieved to know that our home is pretty safe electrically, and to have a clear idea of what needs to be done. In sum, we were completely satisfied with Mr. Quickel's expertise, professionalism, and helpfulness.

Purchased an Angie's List Deal for electric panel labeling of the house. Kelly called us to schedule an appointment and was very courteous and helpful over the phone. We asked her if it would be possible to get some fans looked at that had been installed by a non-licensed electrician and she said that would be no problem at all. She also quoted us a price for the installation of a ceiling fan in our master bedroom. Allan arrived on time (which is a feat on its own since we live in a new community that doesn't show up in navigational systems) and was very professional and personable. Upon finishing the electric panel labeling he quickly got to work on installing our ceiling fan. In the midst of doing so he found that one of the brackets was stripped and unusable. Because my husband had to go to work and my children had just gone down for a nap, Allan offered to head over to Lowe's and exchange the bracket himself (we had just purchased the fan that morning). He went above and beyond our expectations, did not charge us extra for the trip (even though I told him too) and was very helpful in his suggestions for some future work we would like done in our garage. As soon as we have the money set aside we will be calling New Dawn Electric to set up an appointment- I wouldn't want to call anyone else!

I was very satisfied with the work that they did. I was satisfied with their professionalism and skill level. They seem to know what they are doing.

Had New Dawn Electric come out and replace two old electrical lines in my 1901 house. Allan showed up on time and was very professional. He replaced the two older electrical lines I wanted swapped out with Romex neatly and efficiently. He also installed a new line for my Sump Pump and disconnect a no longer used 220 vlt line from the breaker panel. Total time on task was about 4.5 hours of wich he charged me $95 an hr + materials. I had received lower bids, but went with this company because of prior reviews and was not dissapointed. Thanks Allan for the professional work ethic.

I had an excellent experience with them from start to finish, that is, from calling to discuss the job, to getting an estimate, scheduling, and the actual work that was done. I had received estimates from other companies, who stated that several holes in the drywall would be required to install the two new outlets, which not only would involve a higher price but also more inconvenience to patch and paint the drywall. Allen, the owner and master electrician, was able to fish the cables through the wall without any damage. He worked very fast and meticulously. I would completely recommend him to other people and will most certainly use him for any future electrical work.

Allan did an excellent job, was on time, very personable and, the price could not be beat. I will definitely be calling Allan for future electrical jobs and using Angie's list for more deals!

This was my second time using New Dawn. Kelly is very polite and efficient on the scheduling phone calls. Allan is likewise polite and professional. He installed several switches and outlets of varying types. The work was performed quickly and correctly and he cleaned up after himself. He provided an estimate for a future job and gave me feedback on different options of how to do the work as well as options on equipment to buy. I was very comfortable having him in the home with full access to do what he needed to do. I will likely use him again in the future for a kitchen remodel. Price was affordable.

I called New Dawn about having three non-operative lamps repaired. Allan said he would be able to do the work for me and we set an appointment right away. Allan arrived promptly, He repaired all three lamps within the estimated time of one hour. I also asked for an estimate on installing a wall switch and kitchen recessed lighting. I was very pleased with the interactions I had with Allan and Kelly and I am very pleased with the work done. I will call New Dawn again and I recommend them highly.

We had a power outage along our basement wall. Based on the Angie's List reviews, we decided to contact New Dawn Electrical. We prefer to support local businesses over going to the franchised giants. Allan came to the appointment in a well-marked van with a smile and a very professional and courteous demeanor. He got right to work troubleshooting our issue. Within the time he estimated (he said about an hour, and it was just under 60 minutes) Allan walked into the kitchen with a handful of burned and melted wire and plastic. He found the problem with a ceiling fan which had been installed 5 years earlier. With a quick and comprehensive explanation, I was confident that the issue had been resolved. His invoice was exact to the penny of his quote, and he accepted my personal check without hesitation. We discussed some future plans we have for adding lighting to our kitchen, Allan fully explained what he would have to do, how he would like to add switches to the wall to control the new lights. His "ballpark" (my description) estimate was very fair, and he did not press me to lock in a date. That evening I discovered a different outlet which was working, no longer worked. I called New Dawn the next morning, Allan called me back immediately. While on the phone with Allan, he had me do some troubleshooting--- checking GFCI outlets which did not fix the issue. Allan made a trip well out of his way to help fix the issue. The problem turned out to be a GFCI outlet which had tripped. It was the one outlet I did not find when we were on the phone. THIS WAS TOTALLY MY FAULT, I MISSED THE GFCI WHICH HAD FAILED. Regardless of my mistake , Allan smiled, shook my hand and headed back out to finish his day. Allan and New Dawn Electric are a GREAT example the knowledge and friendly service one should expect of a local business. I will recommend him to any of my friends and neighbors who ask my advice when selecting an electrician.

We called and asked for the company's hourly rate, because we had several jobs we wanted done; the office manager gave us that rate ($95 an hour) with no nonsense, and agreed with our estimate that the jobs we wanted done would take about half a day. We scheduled it, then later had to change the day; they accomodated us on that easily. The repairman (the company owner) was very personable and helpful; he called in advance to answer a question I had, advised us to save money by buying some of the supplies ourselves, showed up a bit early to accomodate our needs, and suggested ways to alter our plans to economize. We followed several of his suggestions but when in one case we chose to stick with our original plan, he cheerfully deferred to our instructions. He also stayed later than scheduled to finish a small job that we had not thought to include in the original schedule. His work seems to have been professionally done, his advice was good, and his estimate on future work seemed fair and appropriate. We will use this company again, and have recommended them to others.

Had an estimate and called Allen for a second estimate. He came the same day and gave a better price. Work was excellent. Very flexible,easy to work with and accommodating of our schedule. Would highly recommend and use again in the future.

Not only was the service and workmanship wonderful, he helped me with what I needed to do to repair and re-use the broken light fixture. would definitely call on New Dawn Electric again!

Allan Quickel arrived on time and checked out what I needed. He ran to get the cables I needed. He found a really nice outlet to put behind the TV. He asked exactly how I wanted the TV mounted and began cutting into the wall to place the cables, mounting the TV mount, and running all cables through the wall. He was so effecient and thoughtful not to cut into the wall any more than was absolutely necessary. He was so nice! He even completed things that I thought would be too hard to accomplish for what I wanted to spend such as getting the internet hooked up to the tv. I would recommend New Dawn Electric to anyone needing electrical work. They are the only company I will be calling for all future jobs.

After receiving a referral from another trades person, I called New Dawn Electric to get a quote for adding a new circuit for a garbage disposal and installing a ceiling fixture and switch. Allan responded quickly and arrived with the necessary supplies on hand. Because he works efficiently, the hourly rate is more than fair.

Allan determined that a GFCI wasn’t needed as the outlets were already protected. He also determined the problem with the fan was just an errant thermostat setting. He was very knowledgeable and I will definitely call again when I have electrical work.

I loved this professional electrician. Allan did an awesome job. He arrived on time, verified the work to be performed, worked quickly and made sure all the work met my expectations. Was able to get the appointment after work. His wife who made the appointment with me was just as friendly and courteous. I'm happy to say I found a great electrician for life. I recently loss my husband so it's even more important that I find someone I can trust. I hired him to come back for another project.

Allan the electrician was on time. He looked at all the problem areas and quickly and efficiently got to work repairing and replacing all the switches and outlet problems. He as very nice and very reasonably priced.

Allan was extremely efficient and professional. All 2 ceiling fans were installed within 2 hours and he cleaned up everything. Fans are evenly centered. They left after 2 and a half hour.

Allan, the electrician, performed an excellent job on both occasions I had him at my home. The first project was installing additional recessed lighting in my basement. I went from one bulb to four and he installed a dimmer switch. The alignment was perfect and I have never had an issues with them. The second occasion, Allan installed lighting underneathe my kitchen cabinets. They were hardwired, but he hid the wires well in between the cabinets. He even installed to touch sensors so the lights above the sink would work separately than the rest under the other cabinets. It was a nice quality touch that I didn't think of!
