I hired another company that is doing the work for $1250

I had been having a hard time trying to find someone to complete this repair. Service man called ahead of time, was on time and completed the job. One of my can lights was an odd size, but he was able to find a prefect fit. Very professional. Will use again.

What a RIPOFF Mr. Sparky is, I couldn't even believe it!!! We were charged a $175.00 for the technician to use a voltage detector. They called the exact charge "minor troubleshooting diagnostic (in a single fixture or appliance)". For being minor that's NOT a minor charge. The best part is they told me they waived the $59.00 service charge for just driving to my house and only because I asked. Therefore, they would of charged me about $235.00 for 10 minutes of work. Then when I got my receipt emailed to me later it said work suggested - recommended to customer to replace electrical panel, it is a safely hazard. Funny part is they never even mentioned this and if it is a safety hazard you would think it would be imperative they even mention that to me right away. I'm sorry but was just very disappointed. Never again, and I would suggest you call someone else!!!

When I called the company they refused to come and give a price for the work I needed. They said they did not give bids but would give the price and do the work when they showed up at the door. Apparently they are non competitive and want you to hire them on the phone without advance knowledge of costs involved. I do not trust secretive companies and suspect they are out to take advantage of customers.

Paul H arrived as scheduled. He was friendly, professional, and knew exactly what to do. He also reviewed out electrical circuit boxes for any problems. Finding a couple of minor issues, he explained thoroughly what was wrong, and how to correct, if we wished to do so. We were quite satisfied with both the performance of repair, as well as personal approach to explaining. Although their service was slightly higher than others we have used, we were quite impressed with their responsiveness and punctuality.

I called at 9am and had the serviceman at my house at 11am. Jonathon Zayas diagnosed the problem and determined that the sensors on the flood lights were not working and the ballast in the garage light had died. He recommended LED lighting for both and installed them the same day. Jonathon was very professional, courteous, informative, and cleand up after he was finished. I will definitely call Mister Sparky for any other electrical issues I may have in the future, and ask for Jonathon if he is available.

When I called Mister Sparky the telephone was answered promptly. Reese was very helpful and an electrician (John) arrived sooner than I had anticipated. John was so polite, friendly, expert, and efficient. He explained the estimate thoroughly, explained the work he would do thoroughly, and answered all of my questions. John explained to me why I was having difficulties doing it myself. He cleaned up the floor of cut wires and debris after the job was done. The Angie's List coupon was honored and the job cost less than I thought it would. Thank you Reese, John, and Mister Sparky. I will absolutely call your company first with any future electrical needs.

It took two days, but probably 8 hours in all. This happened on a Sunday afternoon, the electrician on call that day was busy, but another electrician was nice enough to take the call on his way home from a day off with his family. This went very well, my house could have caught fire, when TECO initially came out they told me half the breaker box had burned....you could see the burn marks. Treavor, the electrician was able to give us electric and air the first night and then came back the next day and was able to leave the air running while he finished up. This is a very professional business and I'm a VERY pleased customer!

He was OUTSTANDING!!!! I would RECOMMEND Him to Everyone.

Representative (Felix) arrived on time. The job took longer than expected, but Felix stayed long into the night to finish the job including the clean-up. He was knowledgeable and professional in his work. I would highly recommend Felix and Mr. Sparky for any future electrical work.

This was a terrible experience! The technician spent much time on his phone. He stated his boss was on the plane, and he was having a hard time to get what he needed. I also called his office, and they again stated they could do the job. Rather than starting to get a pole for the job, the technician pulled the panel inside of the hosue. I had indicated if they could not do the job, then he could leave. Later afternoon, 2 other technicians arrived- went to Tampa, for supplies, and got a 12'pole rather than the 20' pole TECO required. The job was dragged out and into the next day, as the pole was not put in the ground until almost dark. They left and of course we had still had no electric. We were told the tech could not come out in the am, as he had a meeting to attend, and we still had no electric. My husband uses a C-PAP for sleeping, we had no water- as our pump runs on electric not air... and no A/C in the house where we had 2 cats, in a hat room, as well as our outside gate being open which worked on the electric. This also had our 2 dogs out running in the neighborhood, not to say anything about our fridge and freezer not running. We were running around the house in the dark. My husband is unsteady, and having no lights made for a dangerous set-up. I called shortly after 8:am, and was told the tech would be out about 9:am. Tech called and said he was on his way. 9:40 still no tech, I called office to check, then he arrived about 9:45am. Not 9:00- - - But better than after noon time, as he had stated the night before. I reminded the technician, my 97 year old husband need the C-PAP for sleeping at night. He reminded us to keep the fridge closed! There was much time wasted and no hurry to get our electric in for TECO to hook up. This was not a great group to work with. The technician stated they would call TECO to hook up the electric. They never did! They only called the Code Enf. to approve their work. They did need to come back to do things which were not done properly. Also TECO made them put in different brackets where they had put in small ones.... saving $$$$. TECO, did eventually accept the work, as they beleived we needed to have our service up and running. Now we are dealing with the invoice, which indicates an over charge for wire. Invoice indicates 100' of wire, but about 10' was used. Of course this is an astronimical high rate. I have called and emailed. No response. Terrible group to work with. Never recommend them. Also, the pole he picked up here, tech said he threw it in a field somewhere between here and HomeDepot. Had also picked up the TECO wire, which TECO was able to get back from them.

They state that they give a free service and they never allowed that for me. They charged me $67.75 for travel alone. They charged me $267 to diagnosis the issue and replace the breaker. I only paid them because they demanded it. They were very rude and would not listen to the warranties and protections that I have through the power company. They kept making derogatory comments about other electricians and the companies that they belong to. They ended up giving me $100 back but still ended up over charging me. I had another electrician give me a quote and they informed me that I should not have paid more then $60-$70 for parts and labor.

As indicated above, the estimate was very high price wise and it included repair of items that were not necessary

The technician had a lot of problems with rewiring and put several holes in the drywall some intended others not. After assuring me that he had done countless jobs similar to this he anticipated that it would take 2-3 hours. Approximately 6-7 hours later the job was done with much damage to the drywall. To the company's credit within 2 days someone contacted me to come in and fix the drywall and he even offered to paint the exposed areas. After all the work was completed (fan and drywall) I noticed that one of the two switches is used to turn on my kitchen lights no longer work. I did not contact them again as I feared they would have to undone all that was already done so I am living with only one working switch. Again, very professional and friendly technicians - just a more complicated job than expected with a cost that was higher than expected.

Technician was very nice. Cleaned up. Fan installation went well. When outlets were installed, we had a communication issue and one outlet was not in correct area. Did not realize until work was completed. Need to observe while starting project. I feel their pricing was a little high Did have to sign an approval before work was done, but in a position that I could not get another firm to come out.

It went well. Adam did a good job. I understood the charges and agreed to what I could afford.

Service Technician was excellent.

The experience was pleasant, efficient, communicative, professional and educational.

It seemed like he was more interested in the up sale and quoting more work than was necessary.

They are outrageous because of the service call fee, plus they nickle and dime me on every nut and screw that they had to put in the wall. I was in a pinch. They could be a little more upfront on their pricing structure. I had a condo where I had used them before, and they left me with a free service call coupon. They didn't honor that when I called them again. They charged me the service call. It would have been nice to see how much it was going to cost, there was a $55 show up at my door fee. They were very professional, it was a pricing thing with them. They do come all the way from Port Charles to Fort Meyers, so it is a drive for them. They aren't best, but not the worse, they are above average. If I have a problem, I call Mr. Sparky, because it's 24/7 service. If I have the smell of burning wires, I shut everything down, and call Mr. Sparky they will find it right away. I have found someone else that is less commercialized, and more personable. If I call them they are here within five minutes. They are here when they say they are going to be. I knew what I was going to pay upfront, even though I'm not agreeing with it. It has to be done, and they are a little pricey.

Great service - came back out when I had some questions to reassure that the chandelier was secured and had no issues.

However, after spending over $8000 for updating electrical work on our home last year, we found we were still blowing fuses when we used our microwave oven. I had really epxected the end of all electrical problems in the house after spending so much money. We recent;ly noticed that 2 outlests were not working. We called Mr Sparkey back and were informed that these were not included in the work that was done. They sent an electrician out, and he repaired the outlets for an additional fee. While this electrician was out, we asked for an estimate on putting the microwave oven on a separate line. We were told it would be between $800 and $1000, and we declined the offer to schedule the work. We found another company who completed the work for under $300. We have had no trouble since. Mr Sparkey does a good job, but they are too expensive and not competitive in their pricing.
