Perfect! Dave was our Tech, he was polite, knowledgable and hard-working! It was very hot in the location selected to install the heat pump but Dave never complained or failed to wear a smile! The equipment was installed, started up and works perfectly! Dave also deserves an A+ for his top-notch clean-up job of the installation area. Highly recommend their services.

Mark was a very nice guy. He quickly discovered the problem which was a relay capacitor needed to be replaced. He said he thought the part would be $200. He returned with the capacitor and replaced it quickly. He said he was able to get it a little cheaper than originally thought which was $180.00. His $85 service charge was no problem to me. However, I later visited the parts store and they said the part cost $26.00. I understand there is a markup on parts but $154.00 is ridiculous and unscrupulous. Will never use him again and he knew what the part cost during his original visit.

I bought my house, which came with very old pool equipment, in 2014. Since then, I've spent more than a quarter of the cost of a replacement heatpump to deal with problems that resulted in shutdowns. Each time, the tech commented that the heatpump is very old and, gee, I might want to think about replacing it. When it recently sprung a leak (actually, a geyser) I decided to look into replacing it. I called four nearby pool-service companies who the heatpump manufacturer listed as dealers. I didn't necessarily want to replace the heatpump with the same brand, but checking out their websites reassured me that all of them deal with multiple brands. I never got a callback from two of them. Mark Rudek quickly called back. He _listened_ and discussed some options, including the possibility of replacing the unit with a higher-BTU unit. I was concerned that the electrical circuit might not handle the load. He came to my house the next day and confirmed that my circuit is adequate. He quoted a price for heatpump and installation that was highly competitive with internet prices for just delivery - - without installation -- of the heatpump. I said "let's do it" - - the next day, it was done. (The fourth pool-service company answered immediately, but didn't send a quote until two days after Mark had completed the installation; that quote wasn't competitive.) Down the road, I'm hoping to upgrade to a salt cell and an internet-connected controller. When I get there, I'm calling Mark Rudek first.

Mark was out of town, but referred me to Dave. Dave returned my call promptly and listened to my problem. We made an appointment for later that afternoon. For the last month or more, I had been noticing that my pool pump was struggling to get started each morning. I was able to diagnose the fact that air was getting into the system somehow and causing the strainer basket in front of the pump to drain down each night. A nearly empty strainer made it difficult for the pump to catch its prime each morning, and I was afraid that I'd burn the pump up if it wasn't fixed. I checked all the gaskets, and O-rings, and even installed a new shaft seal on the motor. All my efforts were ineffective in fixing the problem. Dave arrived on the scene and I described the steps I had taken while he did his own review of the equipment. Dave quickly focused on the 3-way diverter valve that controls the flow from the skimmer and bottom drain into the pump. I had looked at this item, but didn't feel it was the problem.... Well, the expert knew better. Dave pulled the valve apart, applied silicone lube, and re-tightened the screws, and the problem was completely solved. After messing with the issue for 4-6 weeks, I wished that I had called Mark Rudek Pool Service sooner! Job well done and worth the cost of a service call.

Figured out reason why pool breakers had been going off for a few weeks -- problem with heater (after electrician had said it was pool timer and replaced it). Very knowledgeable about the whole system. Will call on him for any other pool problems.

What a pleasure it is to find a service provider that really puts the customer first. David, the service tech, tested the system and explored every possible avenue to remedy the situation before concluding that it was indeed the mother board that needed replaced. He came back a couple of days later after getting the piece to install it. He did not leave until all my questions and concerns were answered. On his first trip out I had mentioned when we purchased the home we did not get an users guide for the system, so we have been learning it by trial and error. When he returned to install the new board he brought in a users guide he had found for me. Who does that? A company that really cares. If I could rate their customer service higher than an A, I would.

He takes care of my pool and I turn my pool over to him. He goes above and beyond that. He comes out once a week. Any problem I had with the pool, I call him and he’s here within a day. He’s very responsible and very professional. He tried to fix my leak for 3 months. He even said it was beyond him but he took his time and tried to fix my leak without charging me. He is a wonderful guy and he really cares about what he’s doing.
