They were very good. I had found a better deal after choosing them and tried to alert Angie's List of why I had selected 2 electrical deals, but received a call from Luminous the next day & assumed it was the better deal. We agreed on a day & time block for the service. It was after they discussed the price that I realized what had happened. They were professional enough that I agreed to have them do the job. I am pleased with the quality of the service they provided.

Jesse showed up as scheduled was careful to provide an estimate what could be done. After troubleshooting the dead yard light he found a corroded wire in the lamp (21 years old). He installed a new self-purchased light and problem was resolved. An hour after he left the job site the light went out and would not come on. The call to Luminous went quite well as they rescheduled a visit to meet my needs, after all we are talking about a yard light. Jesse was now able to troubleshoot the problem and found the underground line was bad. Jesse made quick arrangements for a next day visit with a digger to dig up 30 feet of under ground electrical line. The burned out line was found up again a root. Using conduit the line was replaced, protected again roots and animals. The light has worked since repair. I can't say enough about the professionalism of Jesse and the staff. Keeping me informed of cost and arranging visits to meet my needs. The work done was excellent!

Overall disappointed. Both employees arrived on time, were professional, friendly and completed both projects before noon. The first project which was secondary in importance cost more than I anticipated, but they explained to me the reasons why and I accepted their recommendation. They installed a direct line from the circuit box to the sprinkler system controller thereby stopping the circuit breaker from popping each time the sprinklers and water fountains simultaneously came on. I would hire them to do it again. The second project though was the primary and most important job. It involved laying cable for the network internet service. The line went from the router in the media room through the attic and down the wall between the study and studio. The concept was to share the internet between the computer in the study with the computer in the studio on the same line. The problem I have now is that only one computer can operate on the net at the same time. They claim that the line doesn't have enough through-put for both computers to operate at the same time. Rather than blame the premium router I own along with a high speed internet service, it would have been even better if someone could have anticipated possible problems and offered alternative solutions before the job began. We hired them to solve a problem. We paid them for their expertise, but the problem remains. For the record, we have a premium router with a minimum 50/50 upload/download speed. Our previous house had four computers sharing one line with substantially less upload power and a smaller router. Could it possibly be that either the installed cable wasn't appropriate for the work or the split between both sides of the wall wasn't properly installed? I did ask them twice before they started to work whether or not the cabling they are using will do the job. They assured me it will. They did return later in the evening to address the problem. Their solution was for me to pay another $210 to install a secondary wire for the other room. If this was the best solution, why didn't they install two separate lines from the beginning? At this point, I suggest they stay out of the cable installment business and focus on pure electrical work. They may have better success in keeping their customers satisfied. Likewise, if you need cabling installed for your internet service, don't hire an electrician. Instead find a professional audio installer who will install the proper wiring for the job.

This was a big deal purchase. It did not turn out real well. It was kind of 50/50. Two guys came for two hours for $99 which was the deal. I got one hour for two guys, so they charged me for two guys being here and I guess that is okay. The one guy that came inside -- the younger guy, not the lead guy -- did a terrific job inside. He was right on the money and got a lot of the little stuff done that I wanted. The older guy, the lead guy, talked to the tankless water heater people outside and he was out there the whole hour. Then when he came in he said it was either the board or it could be the element. He gave me a price of around $200 and, or course, I would have to pay for the board. I did not feel quite right about that so I gave it a couple of days and then I called the company. I talked to a young lady and she sort of gave me a hard time because she had in her record where this guy had called. She had his contact information. I finally got to talk to a supervisor and I talked to the technician that he talked to. As it turns out the electrician who was here did not have the proper equipment to determine what was causing the problem with the water heater. So I found another electrician who had the right equipment and I got a new board for free from the company because they felt so bad. It turned out to not be the board so I had to buy another board that was on the element. That solved my problem. The problem I had with the other guy was that he tried to sell me for about $700 I could do this and then if that didn't work he wanted to sell me a brand new system for about $1,600, by another manufacturer. He just was not forthcoming. It is not that he told a lie, but he certainly wasn't candid. He never told me he did not have the right equipment when he was here. For less than $150 I got the whole thing fixed and Luminous Electric wanted to charge me about $700.

Came as promised did good job cleaned up well.

It was average, it wasn't the best. I had to have somebody come back and do some of the work over again.They worked with me and were polite enough. I didn't have any problems getting it done. The initial person that came out was less trained than what he should have been. They came out within a week after I purchased the big deal. The price was an A because for the time spent, the value was there. They had two people out, one was poor and one was good. The responsiveness was good. I probably would not use them again in future.

It went fine. They gave me a quote for additional services and I think their prices are outrageous. What I paid for was fine, and the quality of service was great, I would not use them in the future, at their standard rates their prices are crazy. I don't want to give them the recommendations that say go to them, if it's a deal, go for it, if it's their regular rates, go somewhere else. Not a little high they're like 4 times too high. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen. I would not use them again, only based on price.
