Our technician (Rick) came to our house at the appointed time, inspected and cleaned the system and answered all of our questions. He was quite knowledgeable and very helpful as well as being a nice guy. I was especially impressed that Rick found a malfunction but determined that the onboard computer simply needed to be reset. Despite the fact that I 'm very meticulous regarding our homes and rental properties and therefore have a tendency to find fault with contractors, we couldn?t be more pleased. We?re delighted that we contracted with LPAC. We've found our HVAC provider and in fact, purchased another policy for one of our rental units currently under a (soon to expire) maintenance contract with another HVAC provider. I know quality work when I see it. With LPAC we have honesty, integrity, competence and timeliness all in one. I only wish that LPAC could service our northern properties.
Description of Work: First, the office staff is excellent. Thus far I’ve only dealt with Stephanie and Tracey but both of these ladies went to great lengths to ensure that we received what was needed.

It wasn’t a tune-up. We decided to replace the whole system, including duct work – which they did. I had 2 compressors outside that were very old, and we decided to replace them with one.It took them a day and a half to do the replacement.

They called me right away which was great, showed up right away. He was very nice and friendly. I thought it would've been a standard a cleaning, but they said we needed lots of work done. He said there were lots of mold spores in the unit and it was about a 3200 dollar fix, we had a second opinion and they didn't find anything.

The gentleman arrived shortly after we called, he invited me to accompany him throughout the work so that I could learn about the system and how it works. He identified the problem quickly and resolved it. He also provided me with some advice on the setting of the systems that I was unaware. The visit went really well.

Called late Saturday because our A/C unit was down, repairman arrived at 9:00 p.m., repaired the unit, was very courteous and did not act like it was a huge imposition to come out at such an hour. I was very impressed with the repairman ( Guy ) and will definitely use this company in the future.

As I recall, their main interest was in trying to sell us a new system. I would be aware that the service provided was as advertised but it was mostly, in my opinion, an attempt to come out and sell us a new system.

Installation went perfectly. Installer was scheduled to arrive at 10:00 am but was almost 2 hours late but this was not a problem because our old unit was still working. Installation took very little time. Rick Davis was the salesman and was very knowledgeable and helpful.

We have lived in Florida a year and a half now. We had been using a local big name AC/plumbing company, but prefer using a smaller company. No automated answering machine, dealing with the same one or two gals in the office (which are GREAT, by the way). The technician was great too, not rushed, answered all my questions well.

We did not get competitive prices but their price seemed reasonable for the amount of work performed.
Description of Work: Shawn Weeks came out to discuss getting our A/C to work better. We ended up adding two additional supplies, a new wifi programmable thermostat, a filter that only needs to be changed once a year, and a fancy UV light to prevent mold. They also, sealed some leaks that were in the ductwork. Richard and Steven did all the work except for the installation of the thermostat which Guy did. They were very dependable and arrived on time. Their office person kept us informed as to when they would show up. We found the company on Angie's List and were happy with the work.

They did what they promised, but they did up sell us. However, there was no pressure. We needed another vent because one of our rooms was not getting cool enough. My son is a HVAC technician and told us the price was reasonable.

The system was installed on January 20, 2014. It was an 8 hour job. The technicians left saying there were 2 other things that needed to be done. I spent at least 20 hours waiting for these 2 things to be installed. Each scheduled appointment required a 2 hour block of time. I waited while technicians didn't show. No curtesy call to tell me Rick was out with a back injury or Pat was in the hospital with the flu. Techs showed up on the wrong days. When they came they arrived with the wrong parts. Sometimes they showed at the end of the 2 hour window with not enough time to do the work. After expressing my aggravation with the scheduling problems, I was assured I would be the first appointment of the day. That never happened, well not on the right day. In addition they were calling me to schedule a county inspection. I explained that the job hadn't been completed for the inspectors to inspect. Yesterday the county inspector showed up. It was not a huge surprise to me when the system FAILED THE INSPECTION. This means several more hours of waiting in my future. I spoke with the owner to discuss my disgust with the scheduling problems. He was defensive, trying to give excuses like, "it was hot" and "we have been short employees." I told him there is no excuse for leaving me to wait without a phone call. Unfortunately I have signed a service contract and have a warranty on the new unit. I will still have to do business with these people. I am willing to risk ongoing poor service to prevent the next poor soul from making my mistake in hiring LPAC.
Description of Work: I signed a service contract for 2 AC units and a HEPA filtration system about 6 months ago. The technician strongly suggested making repairs to avoid future problems. I spent 500. at that time, although there were other potential problems. He serviced the 2 AC units but did not service the HEPA system. He said he needed to research the machine to service it. Within 2 months our #2 unit went down. I was told I was beyond the guarantee time from when I signed the service contract. They charged me $90 to come out. A tech came out and said we needed to take the dampers out he said it was probably a job I could do myself, I just had to disconnect and cap some wires. The system went down again and the original tech came back to say this was not a job I could do myself. I was told it'd be 1000 to fix with no guarantee that it would last more than a year before we'd have to replace the system for about $7000. We decided to buy the system. It cost 7500.

They have a wonderful maintenance agreement. Stephanie from the office called to schedule the appointment for the 2nd inspection which had been paid for in July. She called to remind me no less than 4 times. (What a gal!) There was no money to be made as it was free. (How many people never even bother with a call to tell you the free part of your agreement needs to be scheduled. My experience has been they don't bother and hope you don't call them back before it expires) Guy, the technician, is totally excellent in my book. Through my nosiness I found he gets paid for an hour for a maintenance call. He was here for almost 2 hours answering my many questions. The First time he was here for about the same time. He gets paid for an hour and stays as long as you need him. I videoed the scope of work which he was explaining so I could discuss it with my husband. I looked for the video and found I had not hit record. So the patient, sweet young man went through the whole process again. I learned some things, and found through my own observation previous companies were not doing a thorough inspection, as well as ignoring obvious things which should have been done. The problem could have been eliminated earlier thus savings several dollars. Not only the elderly, but anyone can be conned by contractors who should not be in business. The owner of the business is so fortunate to have such conscientious people in his employ. It's hard to find honest, patient, and kind people who don't blow you off or try to make you seem stupid when you don't understand. Guy is my tech, and Stephanie is my to girl! You two are AWESOME!
Description of Work: Checked the maintenance air handler section for Freon leaks. Found coils not rusted at top. Showed me where leaks were, and how the previous installer covered part of the opening with plywood. Because they did a poor job the right side of the unit is sinking. Did not screw down the unit. Surely someone in the past should have pointed it out. Checked the condenser, showed me a rusted part which should be replaced. Checked the attic to see why one room does not receive the proper circulation. Found leaks in the venting, also informed me we have some rodents roving around. Answered tons of questions, some of which I had asked when he was here before. No since of urgency to get away from me and my questions. I apologized several times for either have him report or to ask additional questions

I couldn't get one of my thermostats to work and it would only go to a high of 62 degrees in the main part of my house and the temperature at night was in the 40's outside. Someone arrived shortly after I called and checked both furnaces and the problem was in a thermostat. He reprogrammed it and the other two in the house. I was not charged for this service. This is just too good to be true in this day and age!!! They will now be my new heating and air provider!

We recently moved into a new home. After a terrible experience with another AC Heating company which failed to fix the problem, Larry Pearson AC (LPAC) was highly professional and competent. Their first service to check the unit was FREE. Then they provided the maintenance for two neglected AC units at $39 and $49 respectively. There were parts of the machinery that were rusted and we requested that they bring both units up to good working condition. They immediately ordered parts and proceeded at a reasonable price. LPAC is exceptional--competent, fair, responsive.

Contractor came to visit my house, to see the issue and make recommendations. I opted for a new control unit, with a color, touch-screen display. The unit can be controlled via an iPhone app. Contractor had to go get the unit but came back the same day to fit it. Whole thing was done and dusted the same day. Contractor was very friendly, as well as efficient. Would recommend fully!

Checked everything about A/C, replaced 2 condensers, should of been only one, at the compressor, I felt good about the tech, very knowledgeable.
