Garage Service Today

Garage door stopped working due to one part in the motor that broke. Was told the whole motor and the spring would need to be replaced and cost $1,100. Had another company come out and check, they fixed the spring and replaced the $15 part in the motor in about 10 mins. I would not use this company for any maintenance/fix.

Absolutely amazing service company. Called at 8 am to book a call and within an hour they had a technician at my house. Due to cracked panels and age of door they recommend reinforcing the door or replacing it. After discussing with my wife we went ahead and had a new door installed. They were out 3 days later with the door and permit. Everything came out perfect. Highly recommend!

To be honest, a one star is too much to be given to this company. The owner "Richard" if that is his real name was rude, obnoxious, and has the worst customer service reputation for a company that states - "Customer Satisfaction Remains our #1 Priority". That is a bunch of bull if you ask me! My mother had a garage door installed on Oct 22nd 2020 and the next day the garage door did not work. My mom called and explained the issue and was told she needed to pay an additional $500 for a new motor. Richard did not look at the motor nor was he on the property to see if it was even the motor that was the issue. When my mom said she was not going to pay an additional $500 Richard chuckled and said well that's just fine. She was furious with Richard's non nonchalant and non caring attitude that she hung up the phone. My mom is 75 years old and to be treated with such disrespect is beyond belief! I feel my mom was being taken advantage because of her age and you Richard should be ashamed!! I called today to remedy the situation and get some answers to the questions I had and Richard was again very rude and obnoxious! He had the audacity to interrupt me, laugh and tell me I was a third party calling and I had no life! He then hung up on me...who does this?!?!? I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone!! The so called owner Richard should not be in business! I would love to add the video of the voicemail playback with him screaming at me telling me I waz a lonely old bit*h among other colorful explicit. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!

I had this company replace my garage door as I had previous experience with them for general repair work. During the install I received a call for extra money to replace something that was part of the estimate. After the install they wanted immediate payment despite the fact that the door hadn’t been inspected by myself or the city. When I arrived home I found loose hardware holding the door track to the ceiling as well as missing hardware on the door itself. Once the city inspector had a look he not only failed them for four separate reasons he also stated that he wouldn’t pay them for the work yet ( unfortunately we had). The owner of the company became argumentative and belligerent. After threatening to do a charge back they came to take the door back. As if that wasn’t enough, he held the permit hostage for over a month to keep us from being able to get another company to install the door and later called code enforcement on me for placing plywood up in place of the door. I’m hoping this post will keep anyone else from having such a poor experience with this company and it’s owner.

They arrived to fix a broken spring on our door. After checking everything over the Tech stated that we should replace the springs, rollers and cables. I agreed. A few days after the work was done the door would only go half way up, and had moved about 1 inch to one side. I called the office and was told it was because of a faulty opener and I should buy a new one. I asked that the tech return and check it out. He returned and said “oh I forgot to tighten the belt before I left”. He tightened the belt and moved the door back to the other side and it worked fine. A couple of days later the door moved back to one side and was making a very loud snapping sound. I called the office again and was told the opener was bad, but he would have the tech stop by. He did and checked and could not find what was making the terrible snapping noise. He shoved the door back to the other side and it worked fine. He said it is normal for doors to slide sideways and should be fine now and the opener was fine. After another couple of days it was doing the same thing and sounded like it was going to tear the rails off. Again the fellow at the office said it was a faulty opener and was very agitated about sending the tech back out so I told him I would get someone else. After watching the door go up and down a couple of times the problem was spotted and took about two minutes to fix. After several weeks later the door is now working fine and also the opener is working fine. I guess all they wanted to do was to sell me a new opener. I would not recommend Garage Service Today to anyone!

Great, on time, very professional

Jimmy explained our need for a new door and hardware due to its age. We set up an appointment for the next day. He was very punctual and was ready to work. All work was completed in a timely fashion. He cleaned up his work area and tested all equipment. Jimmy even took the time to wait for the inspector to make sure everything was exactly as it needed to be. We are very pleased with our new garage door and will defiantly recommend them to anyone in need of garage door repair or replacement.

access was at our house for no more than 30 min. they replaced a bracket,oiled the spring and changed some rollers...the parts couldn't have been maybe $50 or $60 tops.. the bill for 30 min was $245.... then they said we needed a new door.. trying to get us to pay $1700 for a door we didn't need... their excuse.---.hurricane protection
