The initial phone call was answered promptly, I was able to schedule the appointment for a time that was convenient for me. He arrived right on time, changed the locks, gave me some helpful tips, and was on his way. Charged a reasonable price, will definitely use his service again.

He arrived promptly and was very professional. He had a full service shop in the back of his van. He changed all our locks, made new keys, and fixed two locks that the strike plate did not allow the dead bolt to be fully engaged. He was fast, efficient, professional and very nice. I would hire him again!

He was great! Quick to respond, same day service. He was efficient and reasonably priced. This is the second time he has done work for us. Wow! Called to have my locks re-keyed. Was going to make an appointment but the owner said "How about now?" He was here right when he said, was very quick, and just so professional. From call to finish was maybe an hour. Price was very reasonable. Very highly recommended.

He did a great job. He made one repair with a used part after showing me the part and telling me how much I would save. he also checked several other locks for no charge.

I appreciated the fast response I got as I was in a bind. The painter had offered to change the door handles but there was an unexpected problem when the old lock wouldn't come out and my painter didn't know how to deal with it. I phoned Cortez Lock as they are local and was very happy when they were able to come out right away. The locksmith was professional and very pleasant. I was happy to have my new handle installed and it looks clean and fresh on the front door.

I cannot say enough about the SUPERIOR SERVICE I received from Cortez Lock and Key. I have lived in 7 states and owned 10 different homes all of which I had the locks changed at least once at purchase and rentals more than once. Mr. Yazir's prices and service were the best I have encountered. At my initial contact I informed Mr. Yazir of the services required. He was able to make an appointment in the requested timeframe. Mr. Yazir phoned about an hour prior to the scheduled service time to confirm the appointment. He arrived right on time. His appearance was immaculate, he was friendly, kind, efficient and very informative. He explained everything as worked. Had me test each lock as he completed it. He worked very quickly and cleaned up after himself immediately. Prices were great! Mr. Yazir is a very personable gentleman and the moment he pulled out of my driveway I called my Mother (who lives in a condo) and told her that if she or any of the members of the condo association need a locksmith I just found the best! And finally to my astonishment......3 days after the service call I received a note in the mail from Cortez Lock and Key thanking me for my business!!!!!! I would definitely use Cortez Lock and Key again and I highly recommend the business to others.

Mr. Cortez came out on a Saturday, the same day we called him. He wouldn’t give me a price quote until I gave him my address. I didn’t want to tell him where I am living because many contractors will charge more knowing you live near an area that has more expensive homes. I gave him the address and he gave me a reasonable quote. I just want to say I love this Mom and Pop business! He knew what he was doing and offered good advice on things not working properly and he fixed them. We are new to Florida and do not know contractors in the area to call. I would highly recommend Mr. Cortez; he is honest and pleasant to have in your home. He also stuck to his quote and come to us to get permission first to do any extra work. Originally I was scheduled with another contractor I found on the internet. I looked for referrals on the internet and could only fine 1. I called to talk to him about this and he referred me to another site and also Angie’s list; I still only found 1 referral on Angie’s List. He said he was licensed and bonded and led me to believe he was coming himself. I was looking on the internet and found no recommendations on him except 1 referral. I called him back and he referred me to Angie's List and another web site to see the many referrals. I joined Angie’s’ List to see this guy’s many referrals he said he had… there was only 1. He didn’t come himself and when the service person call I reminded him that I wanted to see proof of Insurance and Bonding; he had no idea what I was talking about. This made me very uncomfortable. I canceled this appointment that I made with them during the week and called Mr. Cortez! On the day I canceled the other contractor’s appointment, l call Mr. Cortez who got the job done! He even sent us a Thank you card following our appointment. Thank you Mr. Cortez for making out family a bit safer.

The locksmith arrived and tested the door locking assembly. He agreed it was not working right. He realigned the cylinders, enlarged the strike hole and drilled out the concrete where one of the locking bars seats. The door works perfectly now.

I contacted this business and received a quote via phone for re-keying locks in two houses I own. I called several businesses and chose this one because the price was fair and he was straightforward when he provided the quotes. I called back to request service and he arrived within 15 minutes of my call. He re-keyed 12 locks, installed multiple new deadbolts and door knobs and made extra keys. He did an excellent job. He reused locks when able and I felt the price he charged was very fair. I would definitely use Cortez Lock and Key again and would recommend this business to others.

When a house key was lost, we needed to change the locks quickly. We scheduled the repair the next morning. Mr Yazir came promptly and was able to change the locks, including a new front door lock, quickly and efficiently. Upon learning that we had been struggling with locked drawers on our desk, he came to the rescue, and was able to fix with no extra charge.
