The job took four days, but they did great! They were very helpful and went above and beyond to help get the job done. I would recommend them to anyone.

Chris and his son, Adrian, are a hard working team. They worked straight through a hot, humid summer day - pulling up, leveling, resetting and then sanding the pavers around our pool deck plus an additional area at our front entry walkway. The results are as we hoped and it felt especially rewarding to hire Chris because we found him to be a likeable person with a passion for the work and an interest in both hardscape and landscape. Chris and Adrian were respectful of our property, worked with focus and diligence, chatted politely with me when I came out to have a look at their progress, cleaned up the area of work and took care to leave me with some ongoing maintenance advice and material. All in it was a great experience, and we will look to Chris and Sons for future work.

Did not show for the appointment. Made appointment 3 days ago and gave him the address. He lost the address or who knows what. He said when I called on the day of the appointment that he is in Tampa and will not be able to get back out till next Sunday. Stay away from this one if you are serious about getting the job done in a timely manner! If he can't make his appointments and loses the address where he is supposed to be, how do you think your project will go? I hire many through Angie's List as I don't like dealing with flaky, fly by night operations. This company acts like a flaky, fly by night operation.

Called Chris in early May. He responded very quickly. Came out 2 days later . I told him my ideas. His were even better. We just had a new fenced in area placed outside our pool area. Chris suggested removing all the shrubery and grass and any concrete areas and make one clean paver patio. He also suggested a great way to drain out the water from the water spouts by burying a tube under the patio out past the fence into a pond area. We went to an place he suggested to pick out color & style of pavers and set up a date and time for Chris and his son to come out and do the job. They showed up on time, and were a pleasure to work with. They even moved our hot tub for us from the pool dck to the new paver pation.

This was the second project that I have used these guys. As was the case with a paver patio they installed, Chris and his son (Adrian) did an outstanding job. They provided literature for me to choose a design, a prompt estimate and were able to beat the projected start date by a couple of weeks. The finished product was "picture perfect". Best looking stone in the neighborhood. I would recommend these guys to anyone. Good people as well. Thanks guys.

Chris and team were timely and honest in appraising the problem - many pavers near our pool had settled over the years creating unsafe areas to trip. Other paving companies said it would be a much bigger and more expensive job. Chris worked with our schedule and in one day came in, removed pavers from around the pool, added new sand, leveled the entire area and reinstalled pavers. He exceeded our expectations, was professional, cleaned up and provided advice on how to maintain our garage, patio and pool pavers going forward. Pool area looks as good as new.

We had an idea of where we wanted our back patio and how to connect it to the back gate, but were flexible on the shape and size. Chris came out to give us a quote based on our project ideas, and he gave us some suggestions (reducing curves) to help keep the price down. The pavers we selected had to be special ordered from big earth, so we had a number of round-about calls between us, Chris, and the supplier, which worked fine. The price difference in the pavers was about the same as the angie's list discount they offered, so we ended up at the same price as quoted. We had an estimated start date from Chris, based on the weather and how his previous three contracts finished. The project got started a few days later than we had hoped, but he and his son showed up at 3pm, as soon as they were done with a previous job, not just to set materials, but to start our job! (and it was HOT!). They are a hard-working team and obviously have years of experience laying the pavers the correct way. They finished the job in three days, just as they thought, and we have a beautiful patio. Since we had some extra stone, Chris made a couple suggestions adding a few rows to the patio, increasing its width from the house, making the space more usable and more asthetically pleasing. He added angles that echoed the flowerbeds to the edge of the patio, and it looks great overall. The whole thing is well-cemented on the edges and three months later, looks like new! These fellows are hard-working and never stopped moving, even in the sweltering heat of the summer. I would (and have) easily recommend them to friends and would use them again.

This project was such a pleasure. Very professional and dependable team. They would show up like clock work everyday, rain or shine. The whole project went without a hitch. They clearly pride themselves in their work and it shows. We couldn't have been happier.

Our job started out with a large extension of our paved patio, including incorporating a fountain in the middle of the paved area and using a radius pattern all long the edges to create a curved and fluid feel to the outdoor space. Since we did not replace the existing patio but only added to it. Chris had to use new pavers for the additional space. To make everything flow better, he took up some of the old pavers and mixed them in with the new ones so that we would not have a hard edge between the old and the new pavers but rather they blended together. This was time consuming and tedious and was actually his suggestion for a smoother transition, yet he did not increase his price quote for this added labor. The second job he did for us was to extend our patio a second time. Again, it looked great! Then in November of last year, he fixed a small sink hole under the original pavers where an old tree trunk had rotted away and also installed a French under our pavers that was under an overhang. Years of runoff had caused the sand under the pavers to start washing away and create a drainage slant toward our house. Chris installed a drain under the pavers and leveled everything off. His work is creative and extremely well done, with lots of detail. Both he and his son are a pleasure to work with! I won't use anyone else for paver/masonry work!

They didn't show up to give estimate

Chris and his wife met with us and Chris carefully surveyed the situation and, on-the-spot, gave us several interesting ideas on how we could transform this rather desolate area into a welcoming and elegant patio. He worked out a proposal suggesting the fence move and we discussed the details exchanging ideas and arriving at a package and price with which we were both satisfied. Chris and his son are very busy so we set a date nearly a month after accepting the proposal with work eventually starting on 21 October. We were in awe of the fact that ALL of the work - every step of the way - was done by Chris and his son! No large crew of day-helpers. They carefully prepared the foundation while burying drain extensions and conduit under the patio. When it came to the installation of the pavers, they were truly artists in stone carefully tapping down the foundation with a hand-tamper (no gas or electric devices used) and laying each individual paver in place while controlling the angle and elevation to fit their design. When we discovered a miscommunication on the height of the wall and pillars (measured from the foundation or the elevated level of the patio) they immediately decided in our favor and modified the walls/pillar. Chris and son are true artists who appreciate the concept of providing a work that satisfies both themselves and especially their clients. The design and installation of any kind of stone/paver-work is a craft that dates back hundreds of years and Chris Bush and Son carry on the artistic tradition of this craft with great success to the needs of today.

Chris and his team did a fantastic job-- really beyond our expectations. He was able to reuse existing bricks on the property to create something truly special. I'm very happy I used a craftsman like Chris, because he was able to create magnificent paths that seem to flow around the large tree. In addition to the beauty of the paths, he was able to cure our drainage problems by re-leveling all the walkways so the rainwater now runs into the beds, rather than pooling through the yard (which it had for years and years). I can't image using anyone other than Chris.

Set up appt for estimate. Didn't show up. Called several days later to do estimate then hasn't gotten back with me.

I contacted Mr. Bush about a lightning induced hole in my home's block wall and he arranged to meet me in the afternoon on a certain date. He was working downtown, which was not near my house, and he said he would come by to look at the problem after he finished downtown. I said fine. By 5:00 when he had not shown, I called him and found he was already home in the next town and he told me he had forgotten about it; he didn't even remember my name. He promised to come the next morning, early, and look at my problem, which he did. He gave me a price for repair and I told him that was acceptable. He then said he could not get to me for 3 weeks. I told him that was fine. IT's now 5 weeks and I"ve yet to hear from him! I make a habit not to recall people who either do not show up or call me back as I figure if they don't care enough about the job, then forget it!!! If he was running late because of his other job, I would accept a call back and resetting the time to come to my house but I think he's really forgotten about my job. So, the heck with him; I"ll find someone else locally. I would never recommend Mr. Bush because of him forgetting my name, my appointment and never calling me back about the job. I still have a hole in my house's wall!

Chris and his son were able to get the materials we needed weeks before the other people we got estimates from, his estimate was the lowest per sq. ft., and he installed EXACTLY what we wanted. He didn't try to upsell us on square footage or try to convince us to square off the curves we wanted (unlike other people.) He communicated efficiently and effectively, and even helped me lower our total cost be letting me schlep the bricks to the staging area. Because Chris is also a mason, he was able to integrate the front apron right into the stoop in front of the door. I would recommend Chris to any of my friends or neighbors. He does the work himself, with his sons, and he obviously takes pride in a job well done.

I contacted Chris for an estimate for installing pavers on our condo patio. He promptly returned my call, came out to my condo, discussed the job with me, and explained how he would handle each problem (drainage, trash, fit around fixtures, etc.) I explained that we had a tight time schedule and that the job needed to be completed within 2 weeks. Two days later, he sent me a detailed proposal by email. The other contractors we contacted sent only an estimate with no details. I later contacted Chris for information that was needed by the condo association. He responded the same day and provided all of the pertinent insurance and license information. Chris and his son showed up on the day he promised and worked quickly and quietly. He worked with the condo handyman to fit the pavers around the sewer cleanout. I wanted to keep the jasmine and the trellis against the wall. Chris left a small planter area for the vine. The job was finished early on the second day. Because it started to rain, he covered the concrete areas with plastic which we removed the next day. The area was left clean and he removed all trash. I am really happy with the new patio. The paver color that Chris recommended matches well with the paint on the fence and louvers. The patio now drains properly and quickly - no more giant puddle in front of the door. I will recommend Chris Bush to other condo owners.

Using Angie's list - I got quotes from about 4 different guys for a front patio. I have a bit of a funkier style - had some rough ideas on what I wanted - but was looking for someone to help me fill in the blanks. Most of the guys I contacted basically took measurements - showed me some pavers - asked which one I liked the best and gave me a number. When I tried to talk to them about getting a bit more creative with the job - they really weren't that into it. Then I met Chris! I talked to him about my vague ideas. He totally understood me and started expanding on them as discussed the project. Not only that - he and his son Adrien made it happen. They added a lot of curves to the walkway leading up to the house. It's just really cool. Much better than I'd hoped for. Since we tweaked ideas a couple of times during the process, I had some pavers left over. So I ended up having them do a cool curvy walkway around the side of my house to the back yard as well. Everything connects and it looks lovely. Frankly, I wish i had something else to pave over so I could see what they came up with! As far as the basics, they consulted me every step of the way. They were there every day on time - always left the driveway better than it was when they got there. The cost was exactly equal to the other guys. I'm sure they'd do fantastic work on a less "funky" job as well. But if you're looking for someone creative to work with, Chris is your guy for sure.

Great! The recommendations were perfect. They cleaned up after themselves. It looks just beautiful. We have had many compliments from our neighbors.

The work done was done in a very professional and timely manner. The company removed all of the patio ceiling materials and installed 3 electrical ceiling fans. They rebuilt the ceiling with wood and provided a professional looking stain to add a great finish. I have worked with Chris and his company for almost 10 years. He has been providing landscaping maintenance services for 10 years. The residential appearance which is maintained by Chris is very beautiful and lush looking. Chris has done brick drive way work on my double driveway. He redesigned the brick pattern and added great accents. I very much trust Chris and highly recommend him. They did a great job. He was on time. He did what he said he was going to do. He was reasonable. They were just easy to work with. They are just good people.

It took him 4 months to come out again. He didn't cut out all of the roots like he said he did and it caused my tile to break and pop up. He said he would get back to me months ago and he still has not. He is very unresponsive, poor workmanship, and doesn't follow up. He caused more damage than I originally had.
