The salesperson I was fortunate to have at Bob's on Manatee Ave W in Bradenton was Dave Watts. Not only a real nice guy, but very helpful and patient. We were remodeling a 2 bedroom home and I needed floors for each room. I did get two other quotes and all the quotes were in the same ballpark, but Dave made the decision for me to go with Bob;s. The installation was excellent and on time. Communication was excellent. I am totally happy with the product and the people.

They're horrible and we'll never use them again. We had them install porcelain tile last December. We didn't sign off that the job was completed to our satisfaction, due to horrible communication from the store after frequent calls during the installation, which incurred multiple problems. Bob's management is none existent at the Carrollwood location. I called the day prior to installation to verify all sizes of tile were in, the GM stated they were. The independent contractor came out the next day, only the larger of the two sized tiles were in. Delaying our installation time. When we received our tiles, most boxes contained broken tiles on corners, most likely from a forklift hitting the boxes of tiles during movement in their warehouse. Our salesperson who took our order a week earlier was no longer with the company and the GM had no clue how to run a store, nor was there a foreman to contact during installation. Our independent contractor was awesome, but he was delayed due the floor having to be leveled, and his several calls to Bob's to purchase leveling compound went unreturned. We had to have the contractor obtain the supplies to level the floor and pay him out of our pocket. Bob's never called after they finished the job to determine the areas we were dissastisfied with. We even called their corporate offices during installation, and Bob's corporate offices couldn't be bothered to return our calls. A couple of months later, they left a couple of short, urgent messages for my husband on his cellphone to call the company, but not indicating for what reason. He was delayed calling Bob's due to replacing his cell phone. Bob's did not try calling our residence or other cell numbers they had on file to discuss why they were calling. We determined why they were leaving messages to call, after they charged our credit card without our written or verbal authorization. Bob's never called to completed the job to our satisfaction. We went through a three-month process to get them out here to finish the job after denying payment of the charge through our credit card. I would never use them in the future, the entire experience was horrible. Six months to finish a job that should have taken 2 days. Save your time, money, peace of mind and frustration by not using Bob's carpet mart.

Visited the location on Manatee Avenue - spent time with sales person (Wayne DeNardis) looking at different types of carpeting, colors, etc. We set up the time they would come and take measurements - he arrived on time. After the measurements were complete, I explained to Mr. DeNardis that I was under a and quot;time frameand quot; due to my work schedule and he assured me that it would not be a problem to install the carpet at the time I needed. The date was confirmed the day before the installation and the workers arrived on time the following morning. All of the furniture was removed and the installation began. The installers advised me that it would take a few hours. When I returned home, the installation was complete and the furniture was being moved back into place, they even moved somethings into different areas that were to large for me to do on my own. The installers cleaned up - nothing was left behind and everything was as they had found it. They did a great job and I was do happy I had decided on Bob's Carpet Mart.

Bob's Carpet, like most businesses in this field, depend on independent contractors to actually perform the work. Unfortunately, in this case the contractor who was supposed to perform the work had an emergency on the day of the scheduled installation and Michelle Reed, the store manager and the person who took my order, was forced to find a replacement contractor at the last minute. This created some confusion between myself and the replacement contractor as to what time he would show up to do the installation. Part of the confusion was my fault and part was the contractor's fault, but I want to emphasize that Ms Reed was up front with me all the way and did everything in her power to clear up the confusion. Generally, the contractor did an excellent job of laying the laminate and vinyl, however there were a couple of minor things involving the work done on the base trim that I would have liked done differently and made this fact known to Ms Reed who told the contractor to fix the problem to my satisfaction. The installation was about a week ago, and Ms Reed has since told me that if I wasn't completely satisfied with the work that was done to let her know and she would see that it was fixed to my complete satisfaction. What I am stressing here is that Bob's Carpet and Michelle Reed don't take the words and quot;Satisfaction Guaranteedand quot; lightly. It was a pleasure doing business with her and Bob's Carpet. Her assistant, by the way, also bent over backwards to see that I was satisfied.

The Secretary was really nice. The workers were efficient, nice, and cleaned up very well.
