His work was okay but he was very difficult to work with. He was very argumentative. He wanted it his way versus our way. I would not have him again. The paint job was okay. He wasn't that great at cleaning up afterwards. The helper he had with him was okay. But, the actual owner of the company was there some of them time. He sometimes painted and sometimes didn't and that was very difficult and I think his work was spotty. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody.

I am a very easy person to get along with but this was one of the most difficult clients I have ever had to work with. I have a very good reputation and my work speaks for it self in all aspects. I am always on time if not early and try to go above and beyond for everyone. The total for this job was $3070, but it should have been over $4000, I did not charge him for painting his kitchen or bathroom, the bid was for 2 coats and I gave him 3 for no charge, he just kept adding things on and wanted everything for nothing. I tried to accomodate him in every way. At the end when the job was done, the client was there and signed off on everything and paid me. A couple of days later he texted me and said there were some spots on the trim that was not done. I called him back immediatly and said that I would be there to do it. When I arrived, all of the extra or left over paint that I had left there for touch ups was gone. I asked him about it and he said he used it for other things, so I told him no problem, just go and get the paint and I would be more then happy to paint what ever else was needed for free. After texting back and forth he was not happy to go and get the paint and kept saying he was not, at this point it was the princaple of it, and I felt like once again I was getting taken advantage of. All's he had to do was the replace the paint I had purchased and the other items that he added would be done. He did not answer my last text when once again I asked him if he purchased the paint and that I would be there to do whatever he needed (Just for the record my preferred way of communication is not texting, I would rather speak to someone in person or on the phone, the easy way out for him was texting) He was very difficult to work with as I am sure other contractors have found out, and I am sure he will have a problem getting any contractor to work there again. I am just chalking this one up to experience. I have been in the paint business for 30+ years, my work ethics are great, I am a professional, I am always on time and always show up and I have many, many clients who are happy with my work and hire me again and again. I would not reccomend anyone working with this client, I am sorry he felt this way, but I know my work and so does he, and to write a review like this is beyond me. This review will not hurt me or my business, because in the long run it is just words. Thank you for taking the time to read my response to his review.

My husband and I watched Bill paint a neighbours house and impressed by what we saw, asked him to quote on painting the exterior of our two storey house and some interior rooms. We couldn't find any referrals for Bill on Angies List but decided to go with our gut instincts and appointed him and couldn't be happier: Bill and his assistant Robert are great guys who did a great job and would happily use them again. Bill is a man of his word. He arrived early every day and did exactly what he said he would do (and more). He is "old school": honest, trustworthy and reliable which is difficult to find these days. He pays attention to detail and did a very good job. He has painted three houses on my road alone which speaks volumes as it is referral business. I suspect he is Bradenton's best kept secret.
