BAYSIDE ROOFING

When we hired Bayside Roofing, we thought we had done our due diligence. We had asked friends and neighbors, reviewed Angie's list, and gotten quite a few estimates. A draft for your review: Angies list write up When we sat down (twice) with the Sales person from Bayside we asked many questions and added a number of things to the contract that were areas of concern for us. When the work started. it was as if nothing we had done prior to signing on the dotted line mattered. There were many communication issues and concerns that the Company said "we never said this or that". We have a long list of issues. The biggest issue was communication. We specifically asked if the crew foreman would speak english clearly. We were assured the job would have a foreman and he would be fluent in English. Armando was our foreman and he did not understand English well or speak it clearly. We had to use an interpreter contributing to problems. Before the roof was completed, we had a major disagreement over an item of expense. After meeting with Pat Sr. who agreed to a substantial reduction in an add on charge, we agreed not to give a bad write up or provide details on Angie's list. However subsequent to paying the bill in full we have had some additional problems and very unsatisfactory conversations with Pat Sr. resulting in my writing this review now. When taking off the old roof our gutter guards were destroyed. No one had mentioned this would happen so we were not prepared for the additional expense. Bayside agreed to replace the gutter guards at no charge. Our roof is brown. They brought white gutter guards and in fact they were a last minute install because I refused to pay until the job was done. We questioned whether brown gutter guards were available and Pat said that white was all that was available. They look terrible. We are going to have to replace them at our expense now. We had ruts in our yard left by the workers from their very heavy truck/trailer. It took many phone calls and several trips out before that was partially resolved. We still have ruts today. When the first rain came we had an area that drips right over our front door. This was not something we had before the roof was replaced. Pat came out and said he would send someone out to "fix it" . After much followup finally someone came out but did not think the action Pat recommended was appropriate and instead removed the gutter guard in that area. The drip persists and is significant. My husband was frustrated after all we've been through. We called Pat back to tell him. He was most unprofessional, with some vulgar language used about his own workers. He told my husband he had been a complainer and a problem since the job started. He basically hung up on my husband. The issue is unresolved. The problem continues. I can only hope we have no other issues during our warranty. I am very sorry I selected this company and would not recommend them.

THEY DID A TERRIBLE JOB. IT TOOK THEM A LONG TIME TO GET STARTED ON THE ROOF. THEY WERE NOT HERE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO BE. THEY WERE NOT VERY FOCUSED ON THEIR WORK.
