AUDIO WORKSHOP

I wanted a new receiver, speakers, TV and accessories. Paradigm speakers were my first choice and Audio Workshop was the only dealer in this area. I wound up buying the whole package at Audio Workshop. The owner, Mario used a very capable but somewhat unreliable outside installation contractor (he was having family problems at the time). The receiver Mario recommended was really too small for the job (not enough inputs), the phono preamp delivered was not the one I paid for and it did not work properly, and there were (and continue to be) problems with the setup of the Onkyo receiver. Mario was not at all attentive to solving the receiver problems, and in fact swore at me when I got insistant that the receiver was under warrantee and I wanted help. I then went on Onkyo's web site to find another dealer to handle warantee work as Audio Workshop is not even listed. I went to an Onkyo authorized service dealer, who refused to work on my receiver because I had not bought it from an authorized dealer. When I later challenged Mario about this he said he was an authorized dealer for their sister brand, Integra, but I should not contact the factory directly, and to always go through him. Yet every time he promised to get me some help, absolutely nothing ever came of it. I cannot imagine ever wanting to have anything to do with Audio Workshop again in this lifetime
