I have had this company service my HVAC for about four years without issue. When my hot water heater died, I contacted them to replace it. I sent photos identifying the heater, and the overall heater location. I told them to bring a replacement heater, as the old one was not repairable. One plumber showed up on time, but did not bring a replacement heater. He agreed that the heater needed replacement, but it would be the following week before they could get one. I asked him if he would install a heater from Home Depot or Lowes, and his response was no. He never had a tool in his hand. A couple hours later, I was emailed a bill for $225. I went to Home Depot that afternoon, and purchased a replacement, and hired another plumber with helper to replace the heater. They charged me $300 plus additional parts required. I contacted the company twice, trying to speak with an owner or manager. I was told that I would receive a call back. Never happened. I filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General’s office.

What a disappointment this company has turned out to be! My wife and I purchased a newer home 2 years ago on LBK and Air & Energy had installed the AC unit that came with a transferable 10 year warranty. This is a vacation home so we hired them to do the yearly maintenance 174.00 per year to make sure everything runs smoothly and not to mention to keep our 10 year warranty in good standing. This is where everything went wrong. They serviced the unit 4-15-19 and we came over 4-18-19 and I noticed the air return looked really dusty, upon opening up, we found the filter was filthy and had not been changed. We stood there in shock as we own many homes that we have other companies across Florida do the yearly maintenance on and they have always changed the filter. So I called and left a very nice message for someone to call me to discuss...that call never came so I called 4-19 and ask for a manager. I was then connected with Bonnie who proceeded to tell me that they "do not change filters unless requested and they do not keep filters on the truck" really? its a 5.00 filter and to my understanding the warranty would be void if not service by a Trane Dealer...when I questioned her she became defensive and stumbled over her words trying to justify why they never change filters, it was almost comical (I was very nice to her) and for the record this was a standard 20x25x1 not some oddball filter.I also told her that all of our other ac companies we use change the filter with the service..she said "well we don't and we change 15.00 for a filter and many people do not want to pay that" again really..She promised me a call back today and that call never came.. Bonnie is basically useless as a customer relations person. For this reason I am posting this to every site I can find to let others know what to expect when dealing with Air and Energy of Bradenton Florida..

On 2/23/18 I contracted with Jesse of Air & Energy for a Kohler whole house generator. The installation was completed today, 4/25/18. We could not be happier with the service we received from A & E, they went out of their way to make the installation a seamless project for us. The Tech's who installed the unit were professional, very friendly to deal with and did a beautiful job. We were kept up to date on all installation activities by Lorna so we would not be "surprised" by work that we were not expecting on any given day. Air and Energy was one of four companies we requested estimates from and we have no doubt about our selection after the completion of the job. Our instincts were correct they are the best! They'll come out in 6 months and do it again. They basically do a summer and a winter checkup. The price, I think, is reasonable also.

Receptionist (Lisa) put the wrong date into their system, so a complete waste of time and effort. Waited for technician from 8am to 10am and had scheduled my day around their appointment. FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE!!!

Excellent! Called this morning and they were here in only a couple hours! Very professional, friendly, and educational. Being new homeowners we have still a lot to learn. Thank you!

Installation was done very well. Technicians were polite, on time and knew what they were doing. They completed entire job in one day and had no difficulty. Very pleased with entire process.

Always reliable, friendly, thorough, dependable, and professional. They have a great reputation around here. They are careful to explain everything they're doing, they don't try to upsell you. Definitely recommended, wouldn't use anyone else!

We received quotes from three companies. After some negotiation, Air and Energy gave us the best price for a Trane system. We were very pleased with the sales person and the installation team. All were very professional and pleasant to work with. The systems work very well. It was an excellent experience.

They didn't charge anything because it was part of our VIP membership so there was no charge. I supposed they could have changed the inside filters but I didn't ask for that. We have a history of using them so we've used them before. They did what they were supposed to do. I didn't find anything wrong with it.

They seemed to be very knowledgeable about what they were doing.

They did good with the installment but when they came back to fix something they said it was our fault but I think it was their fault. They came and serviced it and then all of a sudden the pipe above got disconnected and they said it was the storm that caused it. How would it get disconnected if someone wasn’t on the roof disconnecting it. We had to pay $100 to get that redone. It was $100 for about 5 minutes of work. He was not very pleasant. I would use that particular company but not the particular service man again.

I left a message on the Angie's list page and never got a response. I then called Air and Energy directly, spoke to the office and someone was supposed to call by the next day to discuss the job, schedule a service call. I never received a call back. I ended up calling a different AC company who scheduled an appointment the day I called, came out and completed the job within 2 days. I realize that the email message may have been lost or lacked contact information, but the followup phone call was direct, followup the next day was promised and never happened.

A+ PERFECT SERVICE! I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had with Air and Energy. Every employee that I came in contact with was professional, responsive to my needs, and willing to work with my schedule. This is the most customer service oriented business that I have come in contact with since I moved to Bradenton six years ago. The system was installed with no problems and works perfectly. I highly recommend Air and Energy!

I obtained 5 estimates for replacement of my AC unit. 2 of the 5 indicated that I needed to have all of my attic duct work replaced and Air and Energy was one of the 2. The other 3 told me it was not something that was needed. Of the 2 recommending that all the ductwork be replaced Air and Energy was the only company that was insistent that the ductwork needed to be done when the AC unit was replaced. I was disappointed with Air and Energy as I felt in the end that they were more interested in making the big sale than my needs and were up selling. I felt that they were not being honest with me. He was insistent a new energy efficient unit would not work well with my current attic ductwork and that it all needed to be done now or I?d be cooling the attic. He told us that we had old fashioned rigid ducts and that now flex ducts are used and these were better. We explained that we had no issues with our ducts, or hot rooms, and in fact we loved that our master bedroom, the room furthest from the unit was always cold. I did in fact get my unit replaced by another highly rated AC company on Angie's list. They were one of the 3 who told me that my attic duct work did not need to be replaced. They did what they needed in the attic during the installation to fit the new efficient 17.5 seer unit. ALL of my attic ductwork did not need replacing as Air and Energy was saying. From this experience, I learned that you need to be careful, and that it is important to get several estimates, especially when one is telling you that you need more work done than expected. Buyer beware!

I had to to call Air and Energy back again because they gave incorrect instructions on how to operate the humidity air control. The humidity air control wasn't working as I expected as I didn't get the right information to use it. Air and Energy's price was very expensive.

We are in agreement with other reviews that this is an excellent company. They installed the Trane AC system in a day as promised. We tried it out for a few hours each day and it worked fine - Until Sunday - 6 days after the install - no cool air. We called the company who sent someone out (Labor Day weekend). Unfortunately, the unit had a faulty part that was leaking the coolant and needed to be replaced. Since it was a holiday weekend, they were unable to obtain the part to repair it until Tuesday. But, they did fix it on Tuesday - again, as promised, and it has been working well since.

They are excellent, I would recommend them to others.

We received a prompt estimate. The analysis was thorough. The work was completed on schedule and they cleaned up everything afterwards. We also have a maintenance contract with Air and Energy and are very satisfied with the work they do.

Great office workers and service providers to work with, A/C and electrical, great employee morale, friendly, professional - helpful!! Both A/C work and electrical in the past, have been and quot;spot onand quot; regarding several projects and problems we had in the past. They explain what you DON'T need or ought NOT do, as well as options on what TO do for a given problem. They explain what the best repair is, and what they can do to and quot;patchand quot; something, leaving you to decide what is best or within budget. They are and quot;up frontand quot; with issues, good news or bad. I trust them, and they treat you well!

We were very well pleased and everything. They put the wrong one in but they are going to take care of that. We are well satisfied with them. We chose them because of the salesman and liking him. The price was right in the middle. They cleaned up and asked us about moving the AC so it was not when you looked out the window. He explained everything to us. He seemed very professional. It took a day and a half like they said it would be.
