Description of Work: We needed our condo completely refurbished. John was very honest in his appraisal. He came up with some great ideas and suggestions . He arrived on time and we felt very re assured that he was a guy in control of his business and operations. His estimate was good . Unfortunately circumstances now prevent us from doing the remodelling we had hoped to do but we would certainly wish to use the services of John in the not too distant future as we felt comfortable at his professional attitude.

Description of Work: Initial project prior to last summer was the installation of an exterior staircase from The Ironworks. John was very quick to respond to my initial call and interacted with the manufacturer on my behalf. He had never done this sort of staircase but had experience with interior staircase installations. He did an excellent job and we have been enjoying use if the staircase for almost a year. The manufacturer will refer customers to John based on my positive experience. John next repaired a pergola over my jacuzzi. It was almost all rotted out and worse than I thought. He finished the job quickly. I had John design a dog door that could accommodate my 165lb Fila. He put a great deal of thought into its design and construction. A sliding door repair in the back of my house became a nightmarish discovery of rotting wood in the header and roofline. John organized his workers and a roofer quickly and also added a patio and deck above the patio. He recommended the plastic composite wood and I feel that was a good steer. The deck will likely never have to be replaced. I had John replace sagging kitchen counters with granite. He also repaired faulty drawers and plumbing. I am very pleased with the kitchen improvements. Friends and family have come to see the finished work and all have John's telephone number for future work. All of Johns workers and subcontractors were very punctual and thorough. I used them also for kitchen and roof repairs at a rental property. John had good suggestions there for moving an electric outlet that really improved the used of space for the refrigerator.

Description of Work: This company came out and gave me an estimate on the high side. I trusted some good reviews on Angie's list so decided to move forward. The owner told me he needed a check for half the estimate that day to secure my spot. I was also told this check would be held until work begins. I called a few times to ask for the email which I was promised that described the scope of work. I never recieved this email and when I called to discuss the upcoming work I was told he deposited the check weeks earlier before any work was performed.. I learned this is not protocol and explained how it's not normal to give a stranger 1300$ before anything is done.. I learned a lesson for future work with reputable contractors that you must receive a written estimate that day and never hand money over until work begins..

Work was completed on a timely manor , any changes were handled quickly. We were not left with work half completed, once it was started it continued to completion.
