Description of Work: One of the trees they installed died only a few months after they installed it. We kept on calling and calling and were told that they would take care of it but never did. We received a call after many months which it was too late. Would never hire them again.

Description of Work: I had them move some trees and put in rock. They put in new trees and plants. They also built a walkway. The whole process took 2 months, and the landscaping took 1 week to complete. I wasn't at home during the bulk of the work, but the crew consisted of about 12-15 guys.

Description of Work: Don't waste your time!! |I called this company because a friend had scheduled work with them, and they seem reasonable. I called the office and was told someone would get back to me within a day to schedule an appointment. Three days went by, no call back. So, I called again, had to give all my information over again. |Was told the same, I would be contacted within a day. A week went by and no call back. Again, I contacted the office and was given John's cell number to make arrangements with him. I spoke with John, and we scheduled a day for him to come out to give me an estimate. He said I didn't have to be home, he would e-mail me the estimate that same afternoon. Never happened! Two days later, I called John to make sure he had the correct |e-mail - he did. Again, we scheduled a second appointment, this time my husband was going to be home and waiting for him. No show, didn't even call. As for my friend, his work has been rescheduled several times - he's been waiting now for almost two months. Not professional!

Description of Work: The owner John Ross is a very pleasant person but it stops there. He and his staff are not punctual and the job is fair at best when they finish. We had work done in the spring of 2012 by Top Notch landscaping and we asked John to design and plant a bed in the front of the house. I told him I wanted plants that required little to no work and I wanted some color. As we get little sun we left it up to him to choose the appropriate plants. After waiting longer than promised with repeated no shows it was finally done. One variety of plant he supplied began to die and he promised to replace them. We waited and called or texted him several times and he would promise to come and replace them but never showed up. After several months another variety of plant the Rios began to die off. Frustrated we called John again and he came over and promised to replace both plants which totaled quite a few. After repeated no shows we took it upon ourselves to replace the plants that were looking the worst with a new hardier variety. We had little choice as the Pentas he planted just looked terrible and the front of our house looked neglected and was an embarrassment. We absorbed the cost of the new plants ourselves and have never received compensation from John for the dead Pentas. Then the Rios started looking terrible and he had still not replaced them. We were not going to replace them ourselves as we had done with the Pentas. We continued to call him and he would promise to come and not show up. Finally yesterday he replaced the Rios. Approximately SIX months after we notified him that his plants were not doing so well. Honestly the new plants look healthy but the planting looks rushed and not evenly spaced. We will move them around and in all likelihood purchase a couple more as it looks a bit sparse.

Description of Work: japanese fern tree was growing out of prportion due to damage suffered by hurricane wilma. company called and asked for professional advice. we decided to remove several main branches and prune from inside out so future storms would blow through. top notch came prepared and cleaned up premises

Description of Work: Updated and improved the 6 year old landscaping on my new home. Specifically, John and his able crew relocated 2 large triple Adonida Palms; relocated 12 boxwoods; and installed 138 plants, hedges and a Robellini palm as part of a large job which refreshed 2 beds in the front and one bed on the west side of my home. He also made an earlier emergency call to reattach the large bougainvillea vine that had become detached from the front of my home.
