The finish on their work looks fine, but the repairs are not perfect. I don’t think I’d use them again. It took them about 5 months for them to finish it and I had to follow-up several times. They do their work outside in the humidity, and that definitely affects the properties of the wood. It wasn’t easy to match and verify the color, and I don’t think the way the project was handled was professional. I wasn’t pleased with their work.

They had great reviews and really followed up very well to make sure everything was done correctly. They did a great job.

I found TLC on Angie's List and it had great reviews. I had partially removed the varnish from a mahogany dresser and needed the rest of the varnish stripped from the detailed areas. I called and got a quote, which was $250. It seemed a little steep but there was no way I could finish the dresser on my own. They were really quick with getting it done. When we picked it up though, it still had varnish on the inside of the drawer frames and in the corners and there were water marks all over it. I contacted TLC by phone and explained the situation. The lady on the phone was less than pleasant and told me that it was hand sanded so there was no way there could be water marks on it and to send pictures because they were too busy to come by and look at it or pick it up. I sent pictures and waited four days for a response, which I never got. I sent the pictures again. The response said that it was residue and it should just wipe off. I responded that it wasn't residue, it was varnish. I also said that I had paid a good chunk of money to have the dresser stripped and since there was still varnish all over the dresser, I would appreciate it if they could come pick it up and finish it or refund my money. I never received a response. I ended up taking the dresser to another company who did a great job. I will never take another piece of furniture to this business. Their lack of customer service and job performance is horrible.

I remodeled my kitchen with dark mahogany cabinets and wanted a dinette set to match. After several attempts to buy a set to match and not finding anything I liked, I decided to refinish my oak set.. TLC refinished it to match my new mahogany cabinets. They did an outstanding job - I am so pleased with the results. I would highly recommend the company to everyone. I would definitely use them again.

I move to Delray in late August of 2013 and found TLC on Angie's list. I called and Michelle, the owner, made an appointment to stop by and see what I had. Within a week the items were picked up and while it took time, when they were returned to me I was stunned at how gorgeous they were, so off went another batch. I think at this point I might express the angst of the owner that the speed with which the pieces are returned to the client depends on the weather. I am in the arts myself and while I become impatient sometimes, I do understand that moisture impedes the drying process. One must be patient to get perfection. All said, I would calculate about 10 pieces and as said before, absolutely stunning. If I was only younger, my wish would be to apprentice to Julian to learn all his secrets. Julian turned all my junk into treasures. While the the items took time, I couldn't have asked for anything more. The grand finale was an old paper cutter that I inherited from my mother. I lean toward more eclectic than contemporary. What does one do with a 70 year old paper cutter? Julian refinished it and lengthened the legs and I now have a pub table and use 2 old bar stools and not only is it incredible and useful but a wonderful conversation piece. Julian and Michelle, you are amazing! Re: the time element was probably a total of 6 months.

I had two solid cherry end tables refinished. They were coated with polyurethane which is difficult to remove. I sent pictures of the tables and They sent me back am estimate. The estimate was very fair so I had them pick up the tables and refinish them. The work was done as promised on time. They delivered them to my daughter"s house when they were done as she was about the same distance as my home. The refinishing was a gift for her birthday. The tables were my mother"s , then mine and now hers. They are fine furniture finished on back as well as front and sides with two levels, two drawers and a pull out shelf. They were scratched and chipped on one edge. Now they are gorgeous. I highly recommend TLC.

I highly recommend this company. They returned my call promptly, came out to price the job the same day, and picked up the table that week. Because of the holidays, she had said it may not be done until after the first of the year. But then I got a call a week later and it was ready. The table looks gorgeous. As to the cost of $500, while it seemed like a lot to me when first quoted, to be fair I have not used a service like this and have no point of reference as to appropriate pricing. I do know that when I got my table back, I was glad I spent the money.

I moved here last July from CA and with me came a lot of valuable pieces but old, worn and generally in terrible shape. I called TLC and Michelle, the owner came and looked at the pieces. Their value warranted the cost to save them so within a couple of weeks they were picked up. I was chomping at the bit to get them back but when I did, I was totally awed by the work. Julian is the spear head of the refinishing division and is a true artist. I cannot say enough about how beautiful they are and how amazing the work turned out. One was an old stackable large English map case which was to become the center piece for a wall installation housing a TV, books and general "stuff" and it is going to be so elegant when finished, I will think about this company every time I look at it. The other pieces were old European armoires where the wood was so aged and places were coming apart at the seams, but no longer. I could say more about TLC but that they surpassed my expectations would still not be good enough. I had no qualms about giving them the rest of the pieces that still cannot be used until TLC works their magic, which is them in a nutshell, magical. Thanks Michelle and Julian. You are terrific. RP

They did an excellent job. The owner, Michelle, was really great in restoring it to it's original finish.

It was beautifully refinished. I was very pleased with the service, price, and professional service. Will be using them again with some more antique furniture I need to be refinished.

TLC did an excellent job re-finishing my coffee table. I am completely satisfied with their work and price. However, since they do such great work-they are in high demand and the job took a bit longer than originally estimated. That may be partially attributed to the fact that I didn't get the table to them until a month after the estimate and their workload may have increased substantially. I had a satisfactory substitute for the table while it was being work on, so I wasn't impatient with the additional time it took; quality takes time

The price was half of what it would be anywhere else. And the lady even came out and met me the same day. And they came and fixed it up yesterday. Everyone has just been kind of rip us off, except them. And in the end we got the end product that we wanted. If you've gotten a quote from somebody that says $900 and you go to this person he says $300 and we'll come pick it up for you.

I have used this company several times for both metal and wood furniture. I recently purchased a big coffee table (4 feet square) at the Goodwill for $35. It was in good condition but had an ugly finish. TLC picked up the item from the Goodwill, completely stripped it, and gave it several coats of white paint. Their work is a lot better than you could do by yourself, even if you're talented. The finished table is back in my home and it looks brand new and really nice. TLC works with a lot of decorators so its best to have some idea of what you want although they are helpful and will give advice. So the all in price of the table was $335 which is pretty good for such a big table. I would have paid at least twice that at a shop.
