Description of Work: Removed existing shelves and replaced with "pull-out" shelving in kitchen for two pantries, pots and pans and other area.

I converted an old Subzero space 48"x7" into a standard refrigerator space 36"x6' so we had extra room on top and one side. We did this because replacing the Subzero was outrageously expensive. Instead we got a top line Samsung refrigerator and had ShelfGenie custom make a top and side (broom closet) storage cabinet. Their work was excellent. Looks like it was made with the original cabinets. And we saved enough on the refrigerator cost to pay for the whole job!

Description of Work: While we were very impressed with the product line, we were somewhat misinformed by the salesman re 'SELF-CLOSING' feature and thought this was INCLUDED in the quoted prices: IT WAS NOT...and we did NOT DISCOVER this until the time of installation! Because 'self-closing' would have added significantly MORE COST to the cabinet modifications, we opted NOT to have it included. Just make sure you *KNOW* whether or not the quoted prices do/do NOT include this feature when you are placing your order. Other than this problem, we have been VERY PLEASED with the work performed.

Description of Work: I called Shelf Genie because of issues I had with accessing the space in a bottom corner cabinet. I had custom cabinets made just last year and the builder didn't configure the cabinet correctly. Pauline from Self Genie was very helpful when she came to my home, but because of the cabinet flaw, there was not a suitable solution to that problem. I told Pauline that because of arthritis I had issues with getting down and accessing my bottom cabinets. I also had issues with lost space in my pantry and I was unable to access the deep cabinet located over my refrigerator. She measured all the spaces and she showed me a sample of the slide out shelves her company offers. She also had before and after pictures of previous jobs. I was impressed with Pauline, her professionalism, and her helpfulness. She never made me feel pressured. I decided to contract to have the shelves installed. Within a week, John, the installer came and remeasured for the shelves. John was a true professional and he said he would research to see if they could do something to allow me more access to the corner cabinet. Within a month( the amount of time Pauline had told me), John called to schedule a time to install the shelves. He was on time, finished the work in a timely manner, and there was no mess for me to clean-up. He had come up with several solutions for my corner cabinet, but the cabinets would need to be altered. It is something I may do in the future, and I will call Shelf Genie again, once the cabinet work is done. The company offers lazy susans, as well as different types of slide out shelves. I love my new shelves, and they have made my life much easier with the ease of using the glide out shelves. The glide outs in my pantry have given me more space for storage. I would highly recommend Shelf Genie, not only for the quality product, but for the professonalism shown by their representatives. If you have a problem area, don't hesitate to call Shelf Genie, because they have many options.
