Josh was responsive, offered to show up within 30 minutes and did! No service call fee; wasn't about the money; about the service and fix. Came and looked; gave me two options each one fair; was willing to let me do the first cheap option and if it didn't work he wouldn't double charge; he'd do the second more expensive option and I'd only pay for the one price of one fix. He fixed the lock in under 15 minutes and left me with as many key copies as requested. He will always be my new locksmith. Never hesitate to book or call Josh!!!!

A++++++++ I spent about an hour looking for a locksmith online, that could help me get back in my apartment. I wasn’t having much luck, but I kept looking for reputable sites and good reviews and of course someone that was available 24 hrs. I also kept hoping it wouldn’t be an arm and leg like the last locksmith I used, but also someone that I felt safe with. I was locked out of my home with my child and i was quite scared. I found PREFERRED LOCKSMITH and I was so happy with my choice. I was nervous at first, not knowing what to expect so late, at this point it was past 12 am; but then the owner, Josh, showed up within 15 min, did everything so quick and efficient, went above and beyond for my son and I. I was able to breathe again after the whole ordeal. Trust me, you can’t go wrong. This is a business that I’ll definitely keep on speed dial. To top it off, his price was more than fair. I really appreciate you!! I usually don’t write many reviews do to lack of time but I’ll take the time for this one. I know I look at reviews to help me decide on what business to use or what merchandise to purchase. I hope my review can help someone else also! Josh, you were a lifesaver! Thank you!!!!

Josh is a real good professional. He was very good in fixing my sliding door lock.

I called Josh this morning to either repair or replace a deadbolt between our laundry room and garage which wasn't working properly. He was at our house within 15 minutes, and replaced the old lock (a builder standard) with a much sturdier lock. He also rekeyed the new lock so that our old key (which also works a deadbolt on our front door) could continue to be used on both locks. The job took less than an hour, he was neat and pleasant, and cleaned up the area when finished. I would use him again and recommend him highly.

On 9/17/23 I had to use the service of Preferred Locksmith, LLC because while I was out of town, my camera captured an image of someone in my condo who had entered using a key. On two prior occasions I came home and suspected that someone may have been in my condo but I was unsure so I installed cameras, and sure enough the stupid culprit returned. At 2:30 AM, Preferred Locksmith Service, LLC came to my condo and changed the dead bolt in a few minutes. Josh, the owner, was very professional and efficient. It was clearly obvious that he was a professional. He even brought his 10th grade son along who he is training to follow in his footsteps. I truly appreciate the excellent service that Preferred Locksmith provided and I heartily recommend their services to everyone who needs a locksmith.

He was upfront about pricing, he was polite, and he took the time to verify exactly what needed to be accomplished. We just closed on our home and needed the locks changed. However, the front door had some kind of security code keyless lock to enter, and the previous owner had no manuals how to change the numbers. Also the front door also had a key just in case of battery failure, but the key didn’t work. I never used Angie’s List before, but Preferred Locksmith Services had very good reviews and decided to have them come out. The owner, Josh came with his helper (his son) twenty minutes early . He called the company for instructions to add, change, and delete the security codes since we had no manuals, and was able to install new locks on the system just in case of battery failure. He also replaced the locks which were not working in the garage, gave us a set of three keys. He also changed the four batteries in the keyless lock, showed us how to do it in the future, and gave us clear details how to change the codes if we want to in the future. Josh said he is on call 24/7 and it’s a real pleasure to have someone as competent and trustworthy when you need a good locksmith. We also felt that his prices were very reasonable for his time and expertise.
