It was excellent.

WIth Kevin's experience in this area, he was familiar with how to handle things. The damage was assessed and Serve-Pro was in there removing things and using large blowers for a few days. I was asked by State Farm and Serve Pro if I wanted to sign an authorization for Kevin to handle it since I was teaching in the classroom and I would probably have been an emotional wreck if I'd have come up from FL and seen my cabin that I would be retiring to in June. I put my trust in Kevin and he sent me texts and pictures to show me the progress. Fortunately, he did not send me pictures of the original damage but the repairs along the way. When I came up the last week of March during my Spring break, the cabin was better than it had been, I met some of his sub-contractors and was very impressed with the professionalism of the men he had working. I spent my spring break going through boxes and working with Serve Pro to sort which was not salvageable. They and I moved the boxes into the house and I went back to school to finish the year out. My clothes etc had not been returned from the dry cleaners before I left and Kevin reassured me that he would make sure that they got into my house. He really went the extra mile. With Kevin's professional help and support I was able to make the right decisions and cope emotionally. I continue to call him for improvements or changes that I'd like to have done. He is very precision-oriented in his work and customer focused. I recommend K B Silver Construction for any and all building needs.

Our home was built in 1967 and was in need of new bathrooms and a kitchen. We were given Kevin's contact information by a friend. Kevin showed up the next day to discuss the details of the project. He quoted us a very reasonable price with no deviation. The project began the next week. Kevin and his crew were very professional, always cleaned up before leaving and rarely stayed once we arrived home for the evening. Now that the work is complete we have a home worthy of a magazine spread.

Just setting up a project has been a pleasure with Silver. Liked their work well enough to hire them for a bigger jog--remodeling the bathroom that needed a MAJOR overhaul, So far we are happy with that job as well, although it is not yet completed.

Kevin Silver is amazing. He is not only the most knowledgeable home builder I have ever met, but he takes the time explain each step of the way, including what needs to be done and when. He's also excellent at coming up with ideas that we haven't thought of, which greatly improved on our original design. As an individual, super easy to get along with. During the job, he'll also roll up his sleeves and fill in if something is behind schedule like plumbing, electrical, painting, etc. Overall, I am very pleased and would recommend him to anyone.

We hired Kevin Silver to correct an incorrectly installed drywall ceiling and finish out the garage. We are prepping the house for sale so we wanted the junky looking garage to be better. We picked Kevin from Angie's list mostly because of his location close to the house and the recommendations. He came promptly to look at the job and was very personable. He couldn't believe the poor quality of the prior work (unfortuately also a contractor from Angie's List) and immediately began to talk about how to make things look right. We always like contractors who do the job so thoroughly, so that you don't have to try to envision absolutely every detail that has to be done. Kevin is very excellent at this. He sent a thoughtful estimate that listed the major items by bullet points, using email, and included a price and a notation "this is turn key" in other words fully completed. He scheduled the job about a week later, and was one day late in starting due to heavy rains. He began sending phone photos as he worked, showing how things looked when taken apart, and how the work was progressing. He was careful to schedule around our needs to use the house unexpectedly. He made good progress and finished on time in 2.5 days, then made on final 30 min visit to complete a couple of items. He disconnected, drained, inspected, rewired, replumbed and added an additional on/off box to the electric water heater. He replaced the whole house water filter with a sturdier model, attached solidly to the wall unlike previously, with all new PEX plumbing lines and 2 isolator valves for use when changing the filter. He also left an extra filter. He disconnected, drained, inspected and moved the well pump, including securing the electrical service line. He also moved and replumbed the water conditioner and put all four units in a neat, organized place along the rear wall. He redid the existing drywall better than it had been before, and neatened out the ceiling as well, then painted all the drywall quite well. He was obviously enthusiastic about how well the garage looked now, and we were even more delighted when we saw it. It's still a garage, but a much nicer one. He wasn't pushy about the payment, which was as specified in the quote and included a tip because of the quality of the work. Kevin really held up his end of the deal and did what a contractor should - listen to the clients and ensure that what they want gets done including all the additional touches that they didn't mention. He's a real pro and we intend to have him do more work as needed in the future.

We have used him several times. I would highly recommend him. He is just extremely knowledgeable in a lot of different areas. He is good to come talk with me and discuss the issues with me. His prices are very fair.

Kevin Silver was very responsive and reviewed the work to be done within days of our initial contact. Best of all, even in this very busy time of year for contractors, Kevin was able to schedule the work within two weeks since he knew we had company coming and we had a safety issue. He finished the work in one day (today) and the landing and steps are now better than they were originally 13 years ago.When he presented his bill, he gave me the receipts for the material used including the credit for returned material for my records. We then added the labor we had agreed upon earlier.He did such a good job on this project we are working with him on additional repair projects for our roof and gutter system next. I can confirm the earlier reports that Kevin and his assistants are pleasant, efficient, just all around easy to work with, and reasonably priced. I was very pleased with how quickly they got the job done. I heartily recommend them to anyone who needs home repair work.

On all the jobs Kevin has done for me, he has kept me informed as to what he is doing and why. The work was exactly what I needed, and I will have him back out to do additional work on my house. The back porch cover will probably outlast the house! We get so much more use out of our backyard area because of it. I feel much safer knowing that the wiring in my basement has been done properly and can handle the load. As for helping get my water meter replaced, I never would have been able to get to the right people to get that job done. Kevin knew who to call, and got them out quickly to get the job done. I was extremely grateful to have water again that same day!!

Kevin and his assistant, Chris were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and hardworking. I had multiple tasks that I needed done, things that were a little beyond our own home improvement skills. I had purchased a garage door opener. They installed it, which involved bringing electricity to the locality of the opener. They did a great job, attended to all details. Work area cleaned up, door opener works great. I needed a screen put on a window with no framing. The window was a small bathroom window in a block wall. Kevin built a frame, installed the frame and screen and trimmed it out and it will look great with a coat of paint. I needed a countertop that I had installed in our laundry room. Kevin built a frame, attached it to the wall, stabilized and secured the frame and attached the countertop. Good job. I also needed some crown molding and base molding cut (mitered) and installed in a room that was no longer square. Their installation was clean and well done. Kevin brings a positive attitude, lots of experience and multiple skills to his work. Thank you, Kevin!

I was SO pleased with this job! Kevin went above and beyond my expectations. I have to say I am a single female who knows NOTHING about this stuff and I only had a business card I had found. He came in with this really upbeat attitude and won my trust completely from the beginning. He worked within my budget and communicated every little change or problem along the way. And he was always cheerful!! All the people who worked with him were hard workers and fast at what they did and the best thing was that it was obvious that they took pride in their work. I cannot recommend highly enough the knowledge, expertise, and positive attitude of Kevin Silver and his partners!
