+ -1 moreWent to Home Depot to buy an exterior door. The price of the door and installation was reasonable. The catch was the price of the permit. Our city charges $ 91.75 for the permit. Home Depot charges $ 300.00 for the same permit. No one could tell me why this was so much. Lost my $50.00 measure fee. Before having any work done that requires a permit call your city building dept. and get the actual cost.

+ 0 moreEverything went exactly as planned. We do not think we could have done better than Home Depot for buying the flooring we needed at a competitive price. We used another installer, but we were 100% satisfied with the service and quality of goods at Home Depot.
Description of Work: The Home Depot sales representative for flooring was exceptionally helpful. He "walked" us through the options and helped us to select the proper engineered wood flooring for us. He also helped us select an inexpensive but very attractive ceramic tile for our son's room -- and was wonderful about finding exactly the right shade of grout. They came out precisely when they were supposed to and did a very detailed estimate. We were very pleased

+ 0 moreMy Safe Florida Homes recommended I change the exterior doors & garage door. In order to qualify for grant, I had to choose a contractor from their list. I called eight independent contractors for estimates. Only two actually showed up to provide quotes. Neither of those could give me adequate information about their products (not even photos). Finally, I just went to Home Depot and chose from doors on display. Their contractors came to measure, pulled permits and installed the doors. All work was professional - they arrived on time, did an excellent job, and cleaned up afterward. All doors passed the first inspection. Home Depot also completed all paperwork required by the State of Florida.
Description of Work: Replaced garage door & two exterior doors with hurricane resistant doors.
