The men arrived on time, cleaned up at the end of each day and overall provided a good paint job for the rooms.

Not only were the workers very skilled, they were respectful of my home and furnishings and took great care to leave the work area clean and neat. They worked extremely hard and completed the project in less than three days.

They work was okay. They were rather slow, and there was an issue in getting the permit. It took a little longer than I thought it should have. I might use them again for painting, but I wouldn't use them again for construction-type work. The person that did the work did good work. He was very personable and professional. He was fine. It was the owners who we had a little bit of an issue with. They didn't keep the schedule, and it seemed to take a little extra time. I was obviously a little disappointed in that. The work was finished, and the workmanship was fine. I have no complaints about that, but the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. With the issue with the permits, it should have gone faster. With the exception of keeping their schedule, the work was top-notch. The door replacement is what took so long. They were there when they said they were going to be there, but it took a long time to schedule. I think they are more of a painting and decorating company, so I would only use them again for their painting.

When the person we had lined up to mud and tape our kitchen remodel didn't show...we called Benchmark. I spoke to Martin, and explained the situation. He said he could come out and bid the job, or he could send a guy in the morning (the next morning) to do it. We were in a time crunch to finish the remodel before houseguests show up, so we were very happy that he said they'd be there at 8 to 8:30 am depending on traffic, and we could pay them an hourly rate, based on how long they worked to finish. The two guys showed up outside at 7:50, and knocked just before 8 am. They began work immediately, and worked all day. They finished at around 4pm. They did a great job, they were polite and respectful, they laid down tarps to work on, and we couldn't be happier. It's such a relief to find a business in this field that does what it says it will do, and does it well. Martin ( the owner) even called the next day to make sure we were happy. We can't wait to use this company again.

I initially contacted Benchmark to give me an estimate for interior painting of my Florida vacation condo in 2008. Boris came to my condo, was polite and professional, and sent me a written estimate. I did not have the work done at that time. In March of this year, I contacted Benchmark again and asked for an updated estimate since I wanted them to change some light fixtures and faucets as well as paint. Boris came back and said he would send me an updated estimate. I never got one. I didn't contact Benchmark about it because I had returned to my home in Virginia. A few weeks ago I called Benchmark since I was ready to schedule the work. They told me that Boris had been let go and they did not have any record of the previous estimate. They said they would send someone else out to take another look. I made arrangements for my neighbor to let them into my condo. Benchmark scheduled a time with her and later called to reschedule. No one showed up at the rescheduled time. My neighbor told me what happened so I called the contact at Benchmark. He told me that he was a subcontractor and was no longer with the company. I then called Benchmark and spoke to the owner. I asked why I hadn't been contacted about the change in schedule and the "no show" situation which had inconvenienced my neighbor. He said it was all in the hands of the subcontractor (who had just been let go) and he was unaware of what had transpired. They offered to send someone else out to do an estimate but I declined. It was especially frustrating since I had to schedule time and make arrangements to fly to Florida so I would be there while the painting was being done.

I sent a request for an estimate about a week ago and to this day I haven't heard any response.

From start to finish a true pleasure. If I need anything done I would only call Benchmark .

They did an amazing job and had it done in less than a week. We worked with Gent and he was excellent. We plan to hire them again to paint our house exterior next.

We contacted several contractors via email and solicited their bids. Martin from Benchmark contacted us and came to look at our house several days after we sent the initial email. We were impressed by Martin's responsiveness and professionalism. Also, we were impressed by Benchmark's ability to handle all aspects of the work that we wanted to get done. (Some contractors we interviewed could only do the painting aspect, and not the skimcoating/popcorn removal aspect). We selected Benchmark based on their "full service" ability and fair estimate. The work took appx. two weeks. There was one hitch regarding one wall in the den that needed to be replaced with drywall, but Martin was able to provide an estimate for the additional work very quickly and we are able to proceed without interruption. The finished work product is very good, and per the original bid (plus the incremental drywall work we agreed to). I would use Benchmark again.

I emailed them for a quote and they never replied. Now in fairness one can never know if someone receives an email or not. So it's possible that they didn't see the email.

From the initial contact, the experience was superb. EVERYONE associated with the company was friendly, professional, courteous, solicitous, and they could not have done a better job in all aspects - from communication, to schedule adjustments, to the actual work. I have lived in Florida for 13 + years and this is THE BEST company I have ever had the delight and satisfaction to work with. In a few years we will be painting the outside of our house and it is not even within the realm of possibility that I would even contact - say nothing about hiring - another company to do the work

We needed the job to be completed in a vacant apartment without any owners present, but with many objects and furniture still in place. The whole contract was actually negotiated over the phone and via e-mail from out of state. There was a strong element of trust from the beginning. We arrived just in time to inspect the condo after it was 99% complete. The result? Virtually flawness; very neat and reliable workers, an easy-going, customer-focused manager, totally easy to deal with. After a thorough walk-through, a couple of minor flaws were scheduled to be retouched in just three days. It says in the contract that the customer has to be satisfied or the job is not done. Benchmark has set a new benchmark for any painters I will contract with in the future. Their name and the quality they produce deserve their reputation.

Boris came the same day I asked for the estimate. His estimate appeared to be the most logical and was also the lowest cost. The crew arrived each day on time and we were very comfortable with them working at our house. They were respectful, courteous, and humble. The work was done on several very warm days. The people working the job worked very steadily and safely. The end result was excellent - far better even than I had hoped for. The caulking work was also done with care and thoroughness. At the end of the job, I couldn't find anything they needed to fix or touch up. Also, worth noting, our house is white and the wood trim along the edges of the wood was stained two different colors. I have not found any spills or drips on the sides of the house or on any of the walkways. Also, the crew cleaned up each day and at the end of the job very carefully. I would highly recommend this company for exterior painting work. I plan to use them again when it's time to do the white sides of the house.

Boris set up a date to give me the estimate. He e mailed me promptly that evening. The quote was well within our budget and set up a date to have the interior done. Boris explained it should take two days. I removed all the wall hangings and the items from the major furniture before they arrived and attempted to clean behind these pieces that have not been cleaned in years. They promptly showed up at 8:30 in the morning and started to work. I stayed out of their way. There were three men in all. They worked from 8:30 AM until 6:30 PM and finished the job completely. Not only did they paint all the moldings but they actually cleaned behind my furniture completely making my house look great. There was a spot on my ceiling that was in acustic tile from a leak from my AC the week before that looked horrible they fixed that and painted my outside doors. These men were pleasant and did a wonderfull job. They went above and beyond my expectations.

Hello ? Project was to be a small one. I'm installing a home theater projection screen in my home. in order to do so i decided i wanted to have a soffit built around the screen to both hide is but also provide a place to mount in wall speakers as the exterior walls (where the screen would be installed) are CBS so there would be no clearance for the speakers. I have not heard back from Benchmark after my final email and have decided not to engage with this contractor for this job. Overall we are not sure if we will proceed with this job as stated. This experience has caused us to have second thoughts about the whole project and we are considering different options to avoid having to bring contractors into our home. I think this company may have been able to pull this job off without issue and I?m relatively certain the quality would have been acceptable. I?m just not experienced with having contractors come in to my home and was not comfortable overall with the experience. My goal here isn?t to paint a bad picture about these guys as like I said I think they would have been fine? Let me know what you think as soon as possible; 1) I was not looking to have you guys do the cut outs for the speakers. I just needed a completed soffit and I would do the cutouts. However with that said since you mention it having you guys do the cutouts would be a time saver on my end however $50 for 3 holes I think is a bit much. If you would like to do the cutouts that?s fine I think $25 extra for that is fare (so $450), if not I?m completely ok with doing them myself, in that case we would revert to the $425. Either way is fine with me just let me know. 2) I think we will wait until the initial project is completed to make a decision on the Crown. Thank you for the quote though. 3) Also on the construction of the soffit itself I?d like to confirm one item which I haven?t to this point (I believe we might of discussed while you were here but honestly don?t remember). The ?slit? for the screen to drop through the soffit, it will be framed and corner bead used? Or how will it be finished? From the estimate to the final clean-up, their word and their work were GREAT! Boris worked with me on discounts, timing and estimating the time on job. Indira handled the job and did everything to please...he was always thinking and getting the job done! All the painters on the job were pleasant, respectful and hard working.

When I first called to set up an apt. (based on the great reviews on here) Martin was very professional and I was able to get Boris here for an estimate within a few hrs of calling. I got 3 other estimates before deciding on Benchmark and they were the least expensive/most professional on Angies list. I had to be a little "persistant" in the beginning as I never received the email estimate from Boris or a return call my third time calling to set up day/time. I saw that a few other customers reported similiar issues but were happy with the work in the end. I thought about using someone else but called again after 10 days and they were here that week to complete the job. The painter was on time, dressed in uniform, and very pleasant and professional.. He did an excellent job and I would use them again for a future project.

We were very pleased with the quality of work done and the professionalism of the crew. We had moved into the space and were working normal business hours. Benchmark did a great job working around our schedule. Their crews accommodated our needs by working after business hours and on weekends. The space was always left spotlessly clean after they had been there and we felt very little impact from managing a business during a major construction project. All work completed was done as requested with great skill. The project manager was very helpful in helping us to formulate ideas on how best to finish the space and the result was beyond our expectations. We now have a truly functional and beautiful work space for our company.

They were higher than everyone else.
