David was professional, responsive and true to his word. The job was well done and the clean-up afterwards was perfect. On time, dependable...He really keeps his word! His price wasn't the highest or lowest, but I felt he and his team were truthful and dependable.

In Aug 2014 Benchmark was hired to refinish a wooden front door with glass insert. The first attempts left streaks, bubbles and runs. They came back 2nd time relatively promptly, and still left streaks and runs, and this time left varnish all over the locks, hinges, etc. A third contact on 9-15-18 came from Benchmark after we filed a negative review here. Benchmark's Emily Richards contacted us promptly, and scheduled John Tuoto, Project Coordinator, to review the situation. He arrived about noon, 9-14. He arrived about noon, 9-14. From the beginning, the process was great. John was responsive when we reached out and Emily keeps you very informed. I knew the date and time they were coming a week before the team was scheduled to start. The team that showed up was timely and did great work.

The room, which had water damage from condo above, looks fantastic. Workers were courteous, helpful and did a great job. When it's time to repaint the rest of the house, I would hire again.

I paid an $800 deposit to get the work done. They showed up on the day of scheduling and could not do the work because they had to get permission from the city and could not use their bucket truck. They said they would come the next day to start and didn’t. I have been trying to get them back ever since the end of October. I call and explain my problem and they tell me they will call back and never dodo. I finally requested my deposit to be returned and again I am told they will call back with no action. Sent an email to the president on linked in and no response. I am afraid I will be out of my $800. Be careful with this company. i don’t trust them at all at this point and feel like they just stole my deposit. Very disappointed.

Both crews were always on time and cleaned up every day. All the work was done within the estiamte time. Like all remodellings, we have had a couple of small things that needed looking at after but every time they are very responsive to correct and make sure everything is to our satisfaction

I decided to hire Benchmark Paint to paint the exterior of our house. Wellington was the person in charge of painting our house he did a GREAT job. He was very professional and detail oriented Im a very picky person and would highly recommend requesting Wellington to do your paint job as we were really happy with him. Also what made this company really stand out, I contacted them about 9 months later there were just a couple of minor touches I wanted them to take care of, because they have a 1 year warranty on there work, Winston came right out to my house and took care of it. I don't often post reviews but on the rare time that a company treats their customers so well i felt I needed to leave this one.

I do not know what to say. Benchmark Painting was FANTASTIC. I have never seen such cooperation and conscientious work. The group of workmen went beyond our expectations. From the beginning until the end, these workers were at our house form 7:00am until 8:00am. They were efficient, clean, and made the experience wonderful. Each night they cleaned up, put everything back to its original place, and left earthing neat and tidy, ready for the next day. The faux painting that Steve did is gorgeous. We are so pleased with his artistry. The end result was fantastic.i cannot give enough accolades. I would hire this company over and over again. For your information, I interviewed 5 companies and got estimates. Benchmark was not the cheapest or most expensive, but I decided to use do the the professionalism of their sales rep Patricia. She came to the house for an initial estimate, a final estimate, and a color selection final meeting. In all my years as a homeowner, I have never experienced such dedication by the workers. JOB WELL DONE

I was pleased with Patricia Rivera, Project Manager. She provided assistance in determining the specifics of the work which included removing popcorn ceilings, painting of each room and replacement of a full wall with closet doors. Her advice on color choices was perfect. The lead painter was Jose, he was outstanding. Everyone worked well together. It was a big job but they did it with care and attention to detail. Thank you, this was a challenge I was not prepared to face.

Never answer their phone. This company is has an automated phone system with "press 1 for limbo" ect.

Benchmark Painting was on par with other quotes and worked with us on meeting our budget. The crew was always on time, respectful and did a great job! We are very satisfied.

Updated 03/21/2017: It didn't. I lost confidence and trust and did not hire them. I am writing a follow up review for this company. Please post it, as the response from the owner to my initial review, is not accurate. The reason for my complaint, and not hiring them, had nothing to do with mold or mold remediation. This company was going to be hired for complete house painting, window water proofing, and carpentry. I did initially believe they were a qualified and reputable company, but my opinion changed upon further discussions with their salesperson. I lost all confidence for numerous reasons. The response from Martin could not be further from the truth. The loss of confidence had absolutely nothing to do with mold or mold remediation. The carpentry work, however, which only represented about 10% of the entire job had to do with drywall damage from a roof leak. All known mold was previously remediated. There was no mold, as far as I knew. However, when I asked Patricia, the sales person, what would happen if any mold was found after removing the water damaged drywall, in the master bedroom, approximately 100 sq. feet, she said her company "would apply a mold killing agent and not to be concerned." When I asked her for the name of the agent, she refused to tell me, stating that, "my company uses a variety of agents, and "I will not know which one, until the mold is identified, if it even exists." I believed her. She told me they were experts in all aspects of carpentry, including mold remediation, and I trusted her. I lost trust and confidence after catching her in numerous misrepresentations, and other issues, as stated in my initial complaint on Angie's list. My loss of confidence had absolutely nothing to do with mold, and they were not going to be hired for anything related to mold. The answer by Martin, to my initial complaint, is not truthful, and is a prime example of what I found with Patricia. I lost confidence, and felt duped into thinking they were an honest, dependable, reliable, company. They lost a 12,000.00 project. Less than 10 % was Carpentry. Also, Benchmark refused to commit to a thorough clean up of the painting and carpentry, refused to let me meet with any of their construction personnel, and refused to write a final contract that coincided with the verbal promises. I lost faith and am glad I did not hire them. I found another company here on Angie's list to do the job, and once again, it has absolutely nothing to do with mold remediation! It is for complete house paining, standard Carpentry, and waterproofing of my windows.

Ken and Daniel punctual, professional, and obviously took much pride in their work. All my questions and concerns were patiently addressed. Their suggestions were helpful and complemented their work. Looking forward to having them over for future improvements.

Excellent. We had a few difficulties - postponements by me, etc- and B.Mm was quite understanding and the painting was done professionally and timely. I hired them to paint my daughter's house and I would hire them again in a second if I needed other painting done. This company can not be beat

Excellent, Dani in the office was very responsive and easy to work with. The crew was on time, professional, and did a great job. Jose was my crew leader, he went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. I would def recommend and use them again. Not to mention they were my best quote.
