A-1 Appliance & Refrigeration Repair

If I could rate this company a zero I would. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a repair company. I started communications with Allen on December 31st about my refrigerator needing repair. He was unable to show the first day due to his daughter going into labor. I was understanding and agreed to have him come out two days later. THIS WAS THE FIRST RED FLAG. For the next three weeks, after Alan collected a $150 deposit, I got every excuse in the book (Dog dying, Medical emergency, Colonoscopy etc) on why he could not come back and repair my refrigerator. Now, I've been without a fridge for three week and am starting a square one. Whatever you do, do not use this company!!

Very well. Fred found the problem promptly and was personable and professional.

They were competent, but very expensive. It was $375 for, like, a 10 minute job. Everything else was fine.

Turned out the filter, which we had replaced, wasn't seated correctly. He fixed it, and that was that.

Made an appointment with A1. Approximately, 1 hour before scheduled appointment, they called to say that they were backed up and could not make it until the following day at the same time. They did come on time the following day. However, they did not have the required parts. I did not actually expect that they would. Approximately, 3 days later they installed the new parts and dishwasher was back to working order. The costs were high, but I think that was mostly parts costs. The labor charges were fair. Despite the schedule blunder, they did a good job repairing the dishwaser.

Fixed with no prolbems

The part came and they came back and put the part in. Then we noticed the refrigerator was not keeping cool. Fred came back a wire had come lose and was fixed. Great company and fast service.

Our dishwasher had stopped working. Fred had it going within 30 seconds (no joke he reset the computer). Then he told us that if it happened again in the next month to buy a new washer since this one is 15 years old. To replace the computer on this machine would be over $200 and we could buy a new one for under $500. What kind of provider looks to save you money and not make the next sale? While he was here we also had him look at our microwave and replace our plastic washing machine hoses with metal hoses. We had been using another appliance repair service that we were very happy with. But A-1 came so highly recommended we decided to give them a try. Now we will use no one else. Oh, and Fred said he would be at our house about 4 p.m. At 4 p.m. on the dot our doorbell rang. Let me tell you, they don't get any more honest than Fred Kaye.

They were terrific. They have a bright red truck like a fire engine which works with the emergency service aspect.
