Plumbing & Cooling Nerds

The two "nerds" that showed up with attitudes . Looked at the Stainless Steel and told my wife that this was a under-mount sink and not a Drop-In I had indicated. Their competitor indicated that that would be the sink he would have recommended. Then looked at counter/sink without looking under the sink or in the cabinet. Sent we a quote for $700.00 for 1 hours work.

OK - Less than 2 Hours - (including one completed repair that had to be redone) - Minimal parts needed (Probably under $30.00) - Charge was over $350.00 per hour - Estimate received after work was done -

Took care of the problem--no more running toilet. He also traced a slow water leak in my garage to a problem with the air conditioner. Although he wasn't the person to fix the HVAC he was able to identify the cause, so I could take steps to get it fixed.

The Nerds promptly set up an appointment. Sent an email with technician's information and called to say when he was on the way. The technician was knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. Will definitely consider this company for future plumbing needs.

Everything went very well. The plumber also installed backflow preventers required by code.

It went okay. It had to be delayed three times, because of weather and permit delays, and they had to come back out to repair a couple minor things. I was pleased with their work. They went above and beyond at the time. Now, though, I have rats....and my exterminator sent a picture of the huge hole that is under my kitchen sink....I don't understand why the Plumbing Nerds didn't a) fix it or b) at least tell me about it. I'm sick to my stomach about this and so disappointed....I had used Plumbing Nerds before and was happy to use them again....not now. When contacted, they said they aren't responsible for damage already there. I agree with that...but I do think they should have told me. There is no way that it wasn't seen at the time of the re-pipe.

Initial toilets installed were top grade but were not the height I agreed upon with the estimator who first came out. Because of my and my wife's serious back problems and additional upcoming back surgery I had asked for the toilets with bowl height of 17". Unfortunately, the standard 14" inch ones were installed which I didn't at first notice because of my ongoing post-operative therapy that took up much of my attention at that very time. Within about a week or so after installation, I spoke a couple of times with the owners, Andy and John, who promised to rectify the oversight with no additional cost to me and in fact did so in a timely fashion. Both John and Andy were professional and courteous throughout the first installation as well as with the tear out of the initial three toilets and re-installation with brand new ones. The installers, Tim (or Jim?) and Javier, were also very professional and courteous. They worked quickly but did not rush, made sure all the toilets worked properly and cleaned up after their work on both visits. In addition, during the estimator's visit I had shown them an improperly working shower head and asked about replacement and which the plumbers did, in fact, replace gratis during their first visit. The price was more than I expected but I feel that the quality of the work and my overall experience with everyone at Plumbing Nerds was worth it In short, Andy and John and their entire team provided the type of customer service that was customary 50 or even 25 years ago (I am 72) but in all too many cases now a days has been replaced by indifferent business owners and incompetent, sloppy and/or indifferent workmen regardless of what they deliver or install.

Excellent quality. Responsive, professional and friendly service-- both in setting up appointment on very short notice, and in executing the job. I called John at Plumbing Nerds at 3:30 on a Friday with a job that had to be done that same day. He went out of his way to rearrange schedules to accommodate my request. John told me he could get someone over but it would be after 7pm (after the end of the regular non-emergency office hours, so someone would have to stay late to help me). I'll add that the job was outdoors, it was after dark, and there was a torrential downpour going on. I thought it might not be possible to get the job done. Jimmy C showed up at 6:30 and had me all set within 30 min. Both John and Jimmy were exceptionally courteous, professional and clearly experts. Both went above and beyond the call of duty and on top of that, both were pleasures to work with. I plan to go with Plumbing Nerds for all my future plumbing nerds.

I was very impressed with this plumbing contractor and especially their master plumber, Tim, that performed the replacements. He was very punctual, professional and listened to my concerns and offered excellent solutions. He also offered opinions and potential solutions for my RO faucet, water purification system, etc. I will definitely request Tim from Plumbing Nerds for my next plumbing need. Excellent job!

Tim, the plumber, was extremely professional, prompt, and explained everything thoroughly to me. At first I thought I just needed a flush, but noticed before he arrived there was some rust coming out of one of the panels. He immediately let me know this was a safety hazard and there was a water leak dripping on the electrical wiring. As he removed the panels, it only looked worse. I was glad that he was able to replace it that day before it blew up and flooded my garage, as I had furniture stored in it. He went back to the warehouse and secured a brand new water heater that had an even better warranty than the one I had. He also moved a big shelf for me and took all the items off so he could make extra room to get the old one out and the new one in. I told him when he finished just to put the shelf back and I would put all the items back in. To my surprise, after he was finished, not only did he get the new water heater installed and replaced some needed items, but he put the shelf back next to the new water heater and placed every single item back on the shelves for me. He was courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. He even took off his shoes when he came in the house. It is apparent he is a highly trained licensed plumber with excellent people skills. I was so impressed with his politeness and professionalism. He also told me about 'The **** Club' that provides savings for customers, as well as maintaining and maximizing my plumbing systems lifespans. There are all kinds of perks for joining this saving club. I couldn't be happier with his performance and my experience with this company. I am sold! We ended up replacing the toilet (circa 1986) with a low flow toilet and a new shut-off valve. We're very satisfied with the work that was done.

Job was completed but noticed after they left that the hot water that was drained into my yard burnt my grass as well as my neighbors. I contacted the company who asked me to send a photo which I did but never heard back from them. I replaced the grass which cost me $50.00
