Plumbing & Cooling Nerds

I was really impressed with them. Believe it or not, I don't use this shower; I use my other one. I've never seen such a thing. There were actually like blood worms and they were showing up on my carpet. I couldn't believe it. I'm calling an exterminator and I'm like what is going on? Anyway, come to find out if you don't use your drain often enough, then they get down in the drain of your shower, and they're blood worms. So anyway, to make a long story short, I just didn't know where to turn. I called another plumbing provider and just talked to the lady there, and she didn't know or have any clue. But anyway, Plumbing Nerds knew exactly what they were, and he says oh you just take Pine Sol and put it down your drain and it'll stop them. They won't go through the Pine Sol. So immediately, within a day, the problem started going away. It was just awful and I'm like what the heck. So he exactly what and it fixed it. I was really impressed with that. Another plumbing provider came in here and they charged me $90 to come in here and said oh you've got a dry drain and walked out the door, so anyway I didn't go with them. But Plumbing Nerds, as far as those blood worms, it's some kind of fly and then they turn into these worms. I was researching them on the internet and everything. But he says put Pine Sol in the drain and they just went away. They won't go through the Pine Sol. So I did put baking and vinegar and cleaned the drain out. So I was really impressed with the fact that he knew what to do and it worked. So I was happy with Plumbing Nerds. I did have them come out and fix my other shower because it was real tight, so the cylinder or something needed to be replaced and he charged me $250 to do that. So as far as price, I wasn't impressed at all. But as far as knowledge and what to do, how to handle the situation, I give them an absolute A. They charged me nothing for the problem with the worms - no service charge. The other plumbing provider is not like that. So there's no service charge for them to come out and look at something, but actually it was making noise and I just had them come out and look again, and they didn't charge me anything. He said just let it go for a little bit and see if the noise doesn't go away, and again I looked on YouTube and stuff and it might be just my shower head that's making the noise. For price, all plumbers charge an arm and a leg - it's just terrible. Price, because he wasn't here that long, I'd say maybe a C on price. It could've been better. II was so appreciative of what he did about the blood worms, it was just awful. I can't even tell you. I just didn't know where to turn. A horrible experience - horrible! And for them to know exactly what to do, I was just like ... he's very knowledgeable. A blood worm looks like a small, short worm. Price for the shower head repair was a C. I thought it was expensive for what they did. I was so appreciative of what he did for me the first time, I'm like well I'll just call them; kind of a payback.

Excellent service; John, the owner, came out and gave us an estimate on the spot as well as e-mailed it to us. Our plumber, Abel, was prompt and professional. Overall, I would recommend and use again! Plumbing Nerds are my new plumbing contractor.

Plumbers are expensive. It would be nice if they were cheaper, but here they are not. I have a hard time finding a plumber, or any body, that doesn't charge $100.00 for a service call just to come out and walk in the door and blah blah blah. I don't think they did that. I would suspect not. Their quality is good. He had to replace stuff, but I am not happy. This is Florida, everyone tells me, you can't get them out. It takes a month or two. Responsiveness is good. Here in Florida it can take an hour to get here from where they are. I will say punctuality is good. If they are going to be late they call. I would tell someone that I really like them. I am not sure that I can wrap my brain around the way they operate now. Before you called Eco Plumbers and they sent out someone. Now, I think each one of them is an individual franchise. I'm not exactly sure how that works.

They were excellent. They recommended some work which I did not do, but the work they did was great and the rep was excellent and did a fine job.

We woke up to no hot water, due to our old water heater finally failing. We called Plumbing Nerds and advised this was an emergency as I had family in town for the week, and absolutely needed hot water ASAP. They were more then willing to come out the same day and do a free estimate for me. I felt like they cared about what we wanted/needed, and gave me several choices of options to pick from. On top of that, they did the install the same day!! These guys were top notch, very smart, clean and curious. From beginning to end they did everything possible to make it a pleasant experience. They cleaned up after themselves and had us up and running with hot water in a few hours. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone that wants a high level of service and professionalism. WE WERE PRESENTED WITH A PLAN FOR FIXING THE PROBLEM WHICH INCLUDED REPIPING THE ENTIRE AREA, NEW HOT WATER HEATER (although ours was less than one (1) year old), NEW OUTSIDE FILTER AND PROMISES OF MANY OTHER UPDATES TO FAUCETS, ETC. QUOTE WAS $7,100. WE WERE TOLD WE WOULD QUALIFY FOR ONE (1) YEAR FINANCING, SHOULD WE DESIRE. AFTER PLUMBER LEFT WE REALIZED THAT WE HAD NOT BEEN GIVEN ANY PAPERWORK DESCRIBING THE WORK TO BE DONE. CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO NO AVAIL. PLUMBER RETURNED OUR PHONE CALLS ONE (1) TIME ONLY. JOB WAS SET FOR TWO (2) WEEKS LATER. DAYS BEFORE WORK WAS TO BE PERFORMED WE STILL DID NOT HAVE ANY WORK ORDER AND PLUMBER FAILED TO SHOW UP FOR TWO (2) APPOINTMENTS. WE CANCELLED THE JOB. COME TO FIND OUT, THEY HAD PROCESSED PAYMENT WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF THE JOB AND HAD ALREADY BEEN PAID AND WE RECEIVED AN INVOICE FROM THE FINANCING COMPANY FOR WORK THAT HAD NEVER BEEN PERFORMED. I AM AT A LOSS TO FIND THE WORDS ADEQUATE TO DESCRIBE WHAT A STRESSFUL SITUATION THIS BECAME FOR US. WE ENDED UP MAKING NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS TO THE FINANCE COMPANY AND RECEIVED CALLS AND MAIL FROM THE COMPANY AS WELL IN ORDER TO GET THIS MESS STRAIGHTENED OUT. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. AND TO BELIEVE I TRUSTED THE REVIEWS ON ANGIE'S LIST WHEN CHOOSING THIS PARTICULAR PLUMBING COMPANY DESTROYED ANY FAITH I HAVE IN ANGIE'S LIST REVIEWS.

Purchased a two hour plumbing deal from Angie's List. I received a call informing me the technician was en route and Ivan arrived on time, was professional and informed me of cost and what the job entailed. The job presented a few problems because the size of the pipe and the fittings were not standard but Ivan worked on replacing valve until the job was perfect. Once the project was complete I received a call asking if I was satisfied with the service . I would highly recommend Ivan and Plumbing Nerds to any Angie's list customers.

This is the second time that I used Plumbing Nerds and was extremely satisfied again with the quality of service. They deserve A+ rating across the board and I highly recommend them.

Although we were a bit disappointed that the job could not be complete in one day, we understood that our toilet had to be special ordered. As soon as it came in the worker came out here and installed it. He was very professional and did a great job.

It was not the plumber's fault that the toilet had to be special ordered, so this job took a few days to complete. However, that all being said, the plumber himself was punctual, friendly, and did a wonderful job. We were also happy with the updates on his arrival time.

They did an excellent job and explained that in a few years we'd probably have to do it again, or, for a permanent fix, replace the old galvanized pipe. When that time comes, we'll be calling the Plumbing Nerds,

Plumbing Nerds showed up on time. The bid for the job was lower than I had estimated. Work was done first thing the next morning. Tech was friendly, efficient and very fast. Quality of work was excellent! Wish I had found these guys much earlier. It would have saved me a lot of time, money and frustration. I would highly recommend and will use Plumbing Nerds again!

Excellent. The appointment was prompt the tech Marc was on time and he did a quick efficient job and was very helpful. Good to work with and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend the company.

Very responsive.? They inspected their own work and corrected problems themselves without me having to point it out. ?Extraordinary, quality work and responsiveness.

Two men showed up towards the end of a 4 hour window. They refused to honor the Angie's list deal I purchased "$99 for $200 credit, they said they would only give me credit for $101 (which is no deal at all). I wanted them to install my Nuvo H2o water filter, instead, they wasted a lot of time bad mouthing the unit and the company who makes it, and after they failed to coerce me into purchasing a different unit from them, they became annoyed and very condescending, they said they were going to charge me a total of $900 including the Angie's list coupon, just to install this water filter that already included all the parts. I ordered them out of my property. I called David Miller Plumbing, a gentleman showed up this morning and went straight to work, he installed my water filter, it took him 90 min, I was charged $292, he gave me some user instructions and went on his way.

They were unable to provide service because we were out of their catch-man area.

They did an excellent job. he really knew his stuff. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
