Kelly Roofing

I was initially very impressed with Kelly Roofing in getting back to me about a possible installation. They were quick to respond to my email inquiries which for someone like me who works much better through email, I was pleasantly surprised. When it came to getting a quote for services, finding a time that they could provide an estimate wasn't possible. I explained that it needed to be early morning or early evening. Instead the expectation is that I should leave work early. Guess it's good business to be able to pass up customers. Updated 9/29/15 - The project manager that came out was very friendly and helpful with answering my questions.

The job was started and completed in one day. Everything was cleaned up as if they were not even there. I did have a few little issues that I noticed and they immediately came back out and made the repairs. I am very pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness of the company.

They did a great job on the work, but since the work was performed, they have been completely unresponsive.

Contacted Kelly Roofing for leak in dining room. The start date was changed 3 times and they did not correspond very well in letting me know this. Once work was started was done well. Had a second leak (different position in house) and this was fixed both quickly and well. Would have liked an english speaking person on the crew but did not cause a problem in getting anything done. Would recommend them.

Installed gutters improperly. Now will not respond to take care of repairs. Extremely disappointing when you've paid in full. Update: After I wrote this review (see above), I heard from Kelly Roofing. Why did they call? They wanted me to change my Angie's List review. I said my experience from start to finish had been problematic. I told her I would update the review, but it wouldn't be what they wanted to hear. BTW, to cut to the chase, the faulty installation has still not been fixed. The thing is, there are companies you work with where you know this might happen, and we didn't think Kelly Roofing was one of them. They have strong reviews! They have a good reputation! They were recommended by a popular local realtor! Sadly, it's been a mess. Originally, we got Kelly to come out and give us an estimate. But we needed to get the house painted first. So, we did that. By that time, we knew we needed a modified set of gutters, and I called to request they come out again to do a reappraisal. The woman who answered the phone seemed to find this to be an untenable request. She acted as if I'd asked her to come over and rotate my tires. Eventually, she got the guy to come out again, he updated the proposal, and I signed up to get our gutters. I believe they rescheduled the first installment date. Then they came and installed the gutters. Not long after that, it rained heavily, and I went out to make sure the gutters were working properly. It was raining. I got wet. These things happen. In any case, there was a problem with the gutters. One of them leaked copiously -- water spoutings of the sort you don't want to see with gutters. I emailed this information along with a helpful photo to Kelly Roofing. Oh, and I forgot to mention, after the initial installation, I received a personal phone call from Joe Kelly Sr. himself, making sure everything had gone OK. I mentioned there was a possible issue, we would keep an eye on it, and if it was a problem, I'd let him know. He said, great, if there was, we should let him know, and he'd take care of it. I thought about complaining about the other stuff, but whatever. No one wants to be that chick. Now we did have a problem that needed to be addressed. We emailed the info to Kelly Roofing ... and ... never heard back Not in two weeks. At one point, I even cc'd Joe Sr. and I think it was Ken. The deafening sound of radio silence. Honestly, it's dragged on for so long, I can't remember the exact order of events, but I think what happened was that I called and set up the repair -- no apology was offered for their faulty installation -- and then I went on Angie's List and wrote my initial review. The next day, I got a call asking me did I want to set up a repair? That I'd set up the day previous. Uh, OK, I confirmed the existing time, and then wondered why she was calling me. She wanted to know, if they made the repairs, would I change my Angie's List review? That takes us to this week. First of all, it's been a week and a half, I think, since I set up the date for the repair. They were supposed to come yesterday, but they rescheduled. They were supposed to come today, but ... no one showed up, and no one called. Why bothering calling when you don't bother showing up? I mean, doesn't not showing up communicate the point? Dear Kelly Roofing: Please let me know what you spent my $660 on and when my gutter repair will be done. The thing that I find absurd, frankly, is that *none of this is a big deal.* I get it. You're a business. You're busy (although, um, it is slow season). Things happen. But it would've been *so easy* to fix this. To apologize. To take responsibility. To get this resolved. Come fix your faulty installation of my $660 gutters so I don't have to think of 6,191 more characters to fill up this space.

I called them a couple of times but never heard back to get an estimate for a new roof.

Kelly Roofing was great. They showed up in a timely manner, climbed onto the roof and into the attic, took pictures of the damaged area and produced a written esimate. After accepting the estimate, they began the work, finished it promptly and most importantly, fixed a botched job from another roofer. Problem solved. I no longer have a leaking roof.

The Kelly Roofing experience was excellent. From the estimator, scheduling, work crews, punctuality and of course pricing. I bid our project out with four other companies but was most impressed by Kelly Roofing. I have no regrets about the choice made and hope to never need a roofer again but if did, it would be Kelly Roofing.

Repaired skylight but took months to repair soffit. Would not show up as scheduled to finish job. I paid half of job for half the work done. Repeatedly , Kelly Roofing did not show or call when scheduled for final work. Then came a threating call and threatening lein letter from Joe and Ken Kelly, in which I called them and left messages repeatedly, "finish the job and you will be paid". Joe and Ken Kelly never returned my calls. After numerous attempts on my end, a supervisor was scheduled AND showed up AND attached remaining piece of soffit trim. They were paid in full on the final trim install as the contract stated. Good RIDANCE, there are better companies to deal with.

They were very professional and quick. Anything that I wanted in addition to the BIG DEAL was promptly price quoted and done with consent. It looks great and I am extremely pleased with the work that was done. I would highly recommend this company.

We had been told upfront there would be a delay with the service appointment, as they were booked for at least two weeks out. During this time we had a couple questions and received prompt replies from Ken Kelly. On May 20th, two Kelly roofing employees came out on time. Luis was one of the two men and he was highly efficient, hard working and courteous. As was the second gentleman. The following work was completed to our satisfaction. 1: COMPLETE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING ROOF SYSTEM IN THE REPAIR AREA. 2: REMOVE AND REPLACE ANY AND ALL ROTTED ROOF SHEATHING THROUGHOUT ENTIRE REPAIR AREA. 3: INSTALL NEW SELF-SEALING (PEEL & STICK) WATER BARRIER UNDERLAYMENT TO THE ENTIRE REPAIR AREA. 4: INSTALL FLASHING AT BASE OF THE CRICKET DETAIL, IN THE REPAIR AREA, FASTENED AND MASTICSIZED. 5: INSTALL NEW MODIFIED RUBBER FLAT ROOF MEMBRANE AT THE CRICKET DETAIL IN THE REPAIR AREA, FASTENED & MASTICSIZED. 6: INSTALL NEW MATCHING ASPHALT/FIBERGLASS, SHINGLES, FASTEN SIX (6) NAILS PER SHINGLE. 7: RE-INSTALL THE GUTTER IN THE REPAIR AREA AS NEEDED.

Everything is excellent starting with the initial phone call until the completion of the work order with this company. This is the 2nd time we have used Kelly Roofing and will be the one and only roofing company we call for any future work.

Fantastic they were booked up but were able to squeeze me in and did a great job.

Got prompt attention from Kelly Roofing, even though this was a small (but important) job. Some of our roof tiles had slipped and needed to be moved back into place and re-secured. All along the way, everyone we were in contact with treated us just as professionally and respectfully as they did when they did a much larger job for us two years ago.

I interviewed four roofers. Kelly provided the most thorough analysis of the problems with my old roof. Kelly also provided the most comprehensive proposal for installing a new tile roof. Kelly also offered the best warranty. The job was completed very efficiently. The job supervisor and the crew of workers were very productive and courteous. I am very pleased with my new roof. I recommend Kelly most highly.

As mentioned above they were prompt and did what they said and only billed me when it was all complete!

I have been using them for an annual inspection for 5 years. Timely, price right, courteous and I will continue to use them. Very efficient and shows up on time. Plenty of follow up too.

Kelly Roofing is a professional company. From the telephone call (with Jennifer) to schedule the inspection estimate appointment to (Tony) the Kelly field representative I was pleased with their courteous, professional manner. Tony arrived early for the appointment and informed that the area with missing tiles was an area called a "cricket". A cricket is an area that is not suppose to have roof tile because of the slope of the area. There was not any charge to me for Tony's inspection. I had had two inspections, one had called awhile after I had already scheduled Kelly Roofing and that roofer company gave me the same report. I would highly recommend Kelly Roofing.

They made everything right even though they took the product a while to show up. They said things that weren't true like they couldn't deliver. They tore a roof off right away, came in and had the plastic but we had plastic on our roof for a month and a half or longer before the product showed up. Then we had a leak, but then they came right away to fix the leak. They were very professional.

.Jennifer was our initial contact with Kelly Roofing. She was very pleasant and set up an appt for us to get an estimate. On the day set up for the appt Connor called and said he would be at our house shortly. We were impressed with his manner and his knowledge about how to fix the problem He told us exactly what they would do to correct the problem. The wood beneath the tile was rotting from a leak and needed to be replaced plus we had several broken tiles on the roof. We were given a written estimate and we set up a date to have the repair. The fellows that came out and did the repair did a great job. Everyone we had contact with at Kelly Roofing was very nice and professional in their jobs. We would highly recommend them.

The Crew arrived on time. They were efficient and courteous. Pictures were taken of all of the procedure done. They stayed past 6 PM in order to complete the job. Clean-up was excellent.

Excellent company. Price is a little higher but worth the quality. The owner personally worked with us and helped us throughout the process of getting paper work for the insurance claim. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and honest. Our neighbors raved about our new roof. We recommend them highly!

It was good. The company was not to responsive at first which was hard. Also, after the work was done they kept calling saying I owed money which I did not.
