Provider responded to original inquiry quickly and, after an estimate and acceptance, had a crew on site within 2 days. All work was performed professionally with full cleanup afterwords. These folks know their trees and how to get the most out of them in the landscape. If you need high quality, reasonably priced professional tree service I would recommend Johnson.

He returned my call right away and arranged to come by later in the morning. He was professional and was able to answer questions about specific trees in the yard. He bundled the deal for me, and since I have had trees trimmed before, I knew the deal was reasonable. He said he could have a crew come later in the day. A crew of six very fast workers arrived in the afternoon. They knew exactly what had been agreed on, and were very clean as they moved along. They had appropriate equipment and I was pleased with all the safety harnesses they had. This was a great experience.

It was a very positive experience. They were prompt and did everything quickly and efficiently. They were very easy to work with.

My message was returned the same day, and he came to give an estimate within hours. I agreed to the estimate, and he ground the stump immediately.

I e-mailed a message. It took a couple of days to hear back for which they immediately apologized and left me a cell number to call with my address. I called the number, left a message and they were out the same day! The gentleman was very nice and professional. He told me there was no immediate danger, but what to look for in the health of the tree. He did provide a quote of what it would cost to remove the tree and grind the stump. From research I had done, the quote was perfect for the work to be performed! Should I decide the tree should come down, I will definitely call Johnsons!

Quick response from time I received the quote to the time the actual work was done. Crew showed up and were very friendly and professional. They trimmed all three trees and did an excellent job of cleaning up all the debris. I would definitely hire this company again.

At the outset, it is important to note that Johnson's told us they would do the trees, but will subcontract out the stumps to their guy that specializes just in stumps. Which was fine. We got this guy's name and used him at other properties. After they finished, I thought everything was okay. I noticed a large root sticking out of the ground in the backyard. I called David, aka Jack, and let him know that the stump grinder had left this. He got a bit defensive and argumentative, but I let it go, thinking he had a bad day. He came out and removed the root. When the job was finished there were mounds of sawdust about a foot high over where the stumps had been. Our contract stated that the stumps were to be ground down 6 inches under the ground. Two months later when some of the saw dust had been washed and blown away, the stumps were revealed. The mounds of sawdust were covering an improper grinding job. The stumps were not ground down 6 inches below the surface. In fact, the stumps were well above ground level as well as the surrounding roots. We decided request the professional stump grinder, the company we thought had subcontracted the job from Johnson's, to go back over them and grind them down some more. When the grinder came we found that he had never done the job. That is how we learned that David at Johnson's had done it himself; and he had not ground the stumps correctly; and he had apparently used an under sized machine. We called Johnson's and David confirmed he had done the grinding, contrary to what he had promised us, and was very belligerent and defensive about any suggestion that the grinding was not done properly. We informed him.... the Stump in the front yard is still 6 inches above ground level, and not 6 inches below ground level as agreed. He wanted to argue the point. I told him to go look himself, he said he was too busy to go out there. At this point, he did agreed to send the subcontractor stump grinder to fix the problem. The grinder took care of the stump in the front yard. We have used this stump grinder before at other properties, never had a problem with his work. However, later in the day, David called us back to tell us that he would not take care of the stump in the back yard. Additionally, he accused us and our landscaper of raking down the property top soil to make the stumps appear above ground. He also demanded we listen as he went on long detailed lecture on "rounding" of the stumps? We simply asked that he comply with the contract and bring the stumps to 6 inches below the ground level. He refused and blamed our landscaper. This is no way to treat a customer. After this I will never use this company again. As a response to below: "Provider Response" they make several completely unfounded allegations: 1) we never requested surrounding roots to be ground down.. 2) He accuses us being "over-budget" on renovations and wanting "free work"... Outrageous statement. No we just want the stumps ground down beneath ground level so we can Lay sod as per our contract. Now, apparently Johnson's knows our budgets and finances? After Johnson's was finished with our property ... There was No way to lay sod, except over stumps. As stated... they blame the weather and the landscaper. However, our photographs are worth a thousand words. And Yes, after he reneged on his promise to "make it right" ... which would have cost all of $150 for fix stumps (stump grinder quote to him)... He told the stump grinder to Stop and he just paid him a portion of the $150 to save himself maybe $75.

They were quick. They did a good job. I have no complaints whatsoever. I was really, really happy with them.

In one word: Great. One day after we first contacted Johnson's Tree Service, David came out and provided us with a proposal with a very competitive price. When we accepted the proposal he told us the day and time the crew would perform the work. As promised, the foreman (Raul) called when they were on the way. They showed up on time with two trucks, a limb shredder, a stump grinder, and about 12 workers (all of whom were friendly and polite). They were very careful to protect the adjacent buildings, walkways and shrubs. Raul kept me informed of everything they were doing. They thoroughly cleaned all debris as they finished. These guys worked hard and FAST, completing all the work incredibly in 90 minutes. We could not be happier with their work and will definitely use them again.

The first time we used this company they did such a nice job, we called them again for another property needing tree work. We are very pleased with the tree trimming. We will use this company again. I wish others were as reputable as this company.

The crew was very courteous and competent. They were able to remove the pine tree without damaging other plants surrounding it. All in all, it was a quick well done job. I have used them before and will use them again.

When I originally called, Tim advised that he was backlogged 6-8 weeks. I was in no hurry, his price for the work was more than fair so I said ok. When they showed up about 6 weeks later, one crew felled the trees, shortly thereafter, a second crew completely removed the trees -- leaving behind absolutely no sign that the trees had ever been there. About a day later, a third crew member showed up and ground out the stumps. I was very happy with the result. Given the price, I was more than happy with the wait.

The tree was removed quickly by an experienced crew with first rate equipment. They did a very nice job on a "serious" trim on the Mahogany that had just lost a limb during a storm. Apparently the stump grinding is subcontracted. The man was on time, efficient, polite, and cleaned the area up well when he finished grinding.

I believe the job foreman called when another job's completion stopped them from showing up. The job was rescheduled and their whole crew showed up, they worked together well, completed the entire job in a timely fashion, and requested a walk through to assure everything was done and that I was pleased. Further, the clean-up was second to none. I live in a development & know one complained. I already provided their name to my brother and he was quite pleased with their work too.

This was over and above all services that I have had done on my trees in last 12 years. This company and the crew went over and above my expectations. Thank you!

I called and the next week they cut the dead palm tree down. This was a very small job, but they were extremely professional and responsive. I was extremely impressed and will call them again.

David came out to give me an estimate the day I called him. I called him back a couple days later to set a date for the work to be done. His crew arrived on time, did the work I wanted and cleaned up very well afterwards. They were helpful in offering suggestions for the pruning. I would use their services again.

They showed up on time and en masse, there had to be a dozen guys and three trucks. There was one huge tree, one small tree, and several shrubs to be removed and several tree that required major trimming. All the work was done in less than three hours and the site was spotless! They chipped/shredded/removed everything they took down or trimmed. It was loud, fast and amazing! A great job, done on time and for the estimated price!

Excellent. WIll use them again. A family member is also a certified arborist and she was pleased with the results. Will use them again.

Received an estimate and work performed about 1 week later as promised. Arrived on time and work was done very very quickly with no damages and excellent clean-up.
