I originally was scheduled to move with E&E on 1/29 but due to issues with my new apartment not being ready I rescheduled to 2/1 between 9am & 10am. Since the movers had not arrived yet I tried calling at 9:56 & 9:58 on the morning of 2/1, but my call went to a recording. I texted at 10:00 asking for an ETA, then called at 10:11 and received a recording. At 10:17 Joe (the owner?) called me back and stated the truck scheduled for our move had busted an axle, he was working on getting another truck, and would keep me updated. That is the last I've heard from them. I have called repeatedly (11 times in total) and my call has always gone to voicemail (there are 3 different numbers, each of which is the same recording and each of which goes to a "mailbox is full" message). I have texted repeatedly (6 times) and received no response. I paid a $100.00 deposit on 1/5/24. 1/31 was supposed to be our move date as the lease for our old unit ended midnight that day. Our complex manager was able to extend us to 2/1 when I found out that E&E was (allegedly) available to move us the morning of 2/1. Well after 5pm with E&E being a no-show and having totally ghosted us I had to scramble to find another mover last-minute. This other mover arrived promptly at 7am the next day (2/2); 2 movers and a truck large enough to take all our stuff in 1 trip. Overall between packing and loading the old place, unloading the new place, then unloading a final few items at off-site storage, it took 6 1/2 hours to finish. Total cost was more than double what E&E quoted for the size of our move. These other movers also broke a few items. Following up on this - Joe finally got back to me on 2/9 and explained that he had been out of office for health reasons, but apparently his Jacksonville crew scammed him the day of my scheduled move and took a better-paying job under the table. He offered me $400 ($100 to refund my deposit and $300 to help cover the amount I paid to the other mover in excess of what Joe originally quoted me). His only ask was to remove my negative Google rating. It took a little longer than he stated, but I received the $100 on 2/16; he told me the rest would have to wait due to try to make payroll. I went ahead and retracted the negative rating at that time. But no word on the remaining money promised. On 3/21 I messaged Joe again, and on 3/25, with no response. Finally on 4/9 I messaged again and he responded promptly that yes, he still intended to pay the promised remaining $300 but please remind him next Thursday (4/18). Following up again on Tuesday May 21st - I messaged Joe on 4/18 to remind him about paying out the remaining $300.00, then again on 4/23, 4/29, 5/2, 5/8, and 5/14. Lastly I texted on 6/5 telling him I was going to repost my review. I've received no response and no communication since 4/9. I really feel that I was owed that $100 deposit back, and feel gratified that I received it as promised. The additional money offered wasn't something I expected but it was certainly appreciated, especially given the hardship we were under with our pre-scheduled move falling through and having to scramble to find something else. But to basically have it out like a carrot on a stick, then pulled away, is not cool at all. It makes me feel like it was offered just to encourage me to rescind my initial negative review. I'm therefore posting again about our experience. Ultimately my biggest grievance is that we were totally ghosted the day of our move and for 10 days after (with the exception of the 1 call the morning of the move that their truck busted an axle). Regardless of "being out of office due to health reasons" there's just no excuse to have zero communication from the business despite multiple calls and texts. I wonder if reposting this review (with updates) will be enough to get Joe's attention again? I guess we'll see....

The guys did a fantastic job moving my grand piano. I was very pleased with their professional service, expertise and knowledge. The piano was completely broken down and completely set up and works perfect. Thanks guys! I will recommend you to anyone that needs a moving service.
