It was a hassle dealing with comcast customer service.
Description of Work: Customer service cut off and then have me a hard time about reinetting the services I pay for thru my condo association.

I contacted them today it's an on going thing with them. The initial installation underneath the house had a gash in it, while drawing the lines they nicked the jacket which gave me internet service and my internet speed was going up and down. I just found out that there was a nick in the wire and we were dealing with that for 10 freaking years. Now I get a much better signal strength. I called Comcast and they don't care. They have Hispanic workers who don't speak English. It is a typical Comcast story. Like anybody else I am not a fan. I found out that some of my televisions do not have the authorization on the digital boxes that I have. I called them to find out why I don't have authorization on some television more than others and I can't wait to hear their explanation. If you want to talk to them they make it very challenging, it's like trying to attack a fortress. If there was credible competition I would not stick with them.
Description of Work: I use Comcast for cable and modem services.

they were on time (2 hour window ) even a bit earlier but they called first.,they did the installation and tested all the equipment ( tv, phone internet, dvr , remote controls. ALL in the 2 hour window

There are other cable companies in the area. Comcast Cable charges the most.

Their customer service is terrible and I can’t say enough bad things about them. The system is fairly reliable but when you do have a problem and need help, you need customer service; it’s like climbing a mountain. Occasionally you get lucky and you wind up with someone who can help you but most of the time you make 3 to 4 calls on the same problem. They disconnect you and put you on hold. They won’t be able to solve some of the stuff on the phone. Service appointments are awfully difficult to come by. If you go down the local outlet to pick up a new cable box and return one in, it’s like going to the bakery. You got to take a number and wait an hour and half. I just can’t say anything good about this service. It’s just dismal and if there was another cable outlet around I would have them. It’s all service and it’s not product delivery. I have got their complete package; I have the premium channels, all the demand stuff and their catalog package. If I had another option, I would not use them in the future. I don’t have any issues right now but their problem is that when their service is fairly reliable and consistent, but when you do have a problem, and you have to call somebody on the phone and they have to check your signal, it’s just a hit or miss proposition. You wait forever on the phone to get somebody as they put you on hold. You have to wade your way through a computer system and a whole bunch of recordings to even try to get a human being. It’s just extremely difficult to do business with. It takes you an hour to see anybody and if you get a place to sit, it’s incredible. The service is just dismal. I have had internet problems and it took me weeks and weeks to get it fixed. When it is a problem with the phone service they fix it pretty quickly. When there is a problem with the TV, it usually is a half a dozen calls before you get it resolved.

They are a slow to respond, it takes a long time to have someone answer a call. They send someone out right away. However they usually have to send someone two or three times, before the problem is fixed. I will continue to use some in the future, under distress.
