He brought it to a safe condidtion. He was thorough in solving and explaining the problem. He worked efficiently and got the job done in the hours expected. Pricing on labor was fair, however pricing on materials seemed high.

The AC at our parents' house went out last night, for the second time in a month and when ServiceAmerica came and put in another compressor it blew. They claimed that we must have a huge surge and wiring problem, and that we should call an electrician. That was this morning. They also told us that it could be our generator... So after a runaround with ServiceAmerica and a call to the generator company which assured us that it couldn't be that, we called Andy. He answered and said that he would definitely be here today, probably in a couple of hours as he was at a job. He then called back and said it looked like it would be sooner, maybe within the hour, then called again to say he was on his way. He was thorough, professional but funny, and we feel confident in his knowledge. Would definitely call on him again.

Andy did a great job. Very prompt and professional. I called him at 9:30 Saturday morning thinking I would have to make an appointment for Monday. He told me he was already working and could be by in a couple of hours. He called at 11:30 to let me know he was on his way and he arrived before noon. Water heater was back working shortly after that and he checked the breaker panel while he was here. Very positive experience. We will use him for any future electrical needs and will highly recommend him to friends and neighbors.

Young Electric immediately responded to me. The owner called me and I explained to him what I needed to be done. He came out that afternoon. He is extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He explained everything to me and he was very personable and polite. He might all of my needs and even more. I will use him in the near future for other projects that I need done. I recommend him highly.

I think that I got him from Angie's List. The owner’s name was Mr. Andrew Young. He was extremely fair. He was also very tidy which was good.

Power went out in one circuit in the home. He arrived promptly as promised after calling to indicate his imminent arrival. The problem was corrected immediately. Thereafter Mr. Young inspected the premises and corrected an issue with an improperly installed outlet. Additionally, Mr. Young honored a coupon found with his listing.

.He was patient with my questions -- and gave answers which made complete sense. He arrived on time and was not distracted by my dog who barked incessantly.

I sent an email and within hours recieved a phone call and set an appointment. He arrived promptly and identified the problem and repaired it.

Andy Young is a very nice man, he really knows his craft. He came over and within minutes, figured out where the short was, (in a working plug), and fixed it. He also reinstalled the two light switches I took apart, looking for a problem. I will use young electric from now on and tell all my friends to do so also.

Andy made my appointment for Saturday, which was great as it is difficult for me to get off of work during the week. I explained over the phone that I had 4 landscape lights total in my small front yard that were about 10 years old and were corroded so as I could not even open to replace burnt out bulbs. He gave me a very accurate estimate of the time required ( about 2 hours ) and gave me his hourly rate as well as the cost for additional materials, wiring, etc. He showed up on time, introduced himself very nicely, looked at my materials as I had already purchased the new fixtures. He supplied the new wiring. He was very thourough in making recommendations and being sure he knew what I wanted. My dogs always bark at new people and this was no exception. My boyfriend and I quickly learned that Andy is an animal lover and in no time, my dog Ruby had Andy wrapped around her paw and was receiving much requested belly rubs after the work was completed. We spent about 20 ninutes off the clock just talking as he was so nice. Next time that I need any electrical work, I will definately call Young Electric ! Highly recommended !

My husband and I had contacted a couple of electricians who who either not return our calls or called and made an appointment and then never showed up. At that point, we joined Angie's list and searched for electricians. The first electrician I read reviews on had earned A's, however, every reviewer indicated the work had not been performed due to price. I then read reviews on Andy from Young electric and decided to contact him. He was able to come out the next day and called to reconfirm that morning. He showed up on time, looked at all of our issues and educated us on all of them. He fixed all of our problems except he was unable to resolve the pool issue, but gave us the best understanding of what had happened so that we could contact the manufacturer directly to get the problem solved.

I found Andy on Angie's list and called him up in the early afternoon. He said he could be over within the hour and arrived within 30 minutes. After hearing a brief explanation of my problem, he was able to diagnose the issue and make a correction. He gave me a full explanation of the problem and his service for it and then went on to explain what the possible next steps, including costs, would be if the problem recurrs. I will keep his information handy and won't hesitate to use Andy again in the future.

He was fantastic. I use him for everything electrical around the house. He was friendly, prompt, explained everything he was going to be doing and didn't do anything without asking for permission, and was very professional.

the circuit breaker blew and the hot water heater stopped working. I called Andrew Young & was very glad I did. He was at my house within an hour told me what the problem was & fixed it .He is a really a nice guy with a good heart & very interesting stories. When I need any electric work done in the future no question about it, I'll call Andrew!

The lights periodically flickered in my house and circuit breakers kept going bad. I called Andrew Young based on his recommendations on this site. He was able to give me an accurate diagnosis and quote on the telephone. We scheduled him to begin work at 8:00 am the next day and he showed up exactly on time. He was very personable and courteous and took the time to explain every detail of the job. He explained how the original circuit breaker panel was defective and showed the damage it had caused to the individual breakers. I had no doubt that he had diagnosed the problem correctly. He was clean and efficient and did not try to add any additional costs to his original estimate. Two of my neighbors had similar work done and Andrew's price was a little lower than the competitors. I would not hesitate to call on him again.

It went extremely well. Andy arrived right on time at 8 a.m. and went to work installing the smoke detectors. He was very personable, making friends with our two dogs right away. He worked very efficiently and had the whole job done in a reasonable timeframe. He's very good at explaining electrical issues to homeowners. I intend to call him again in the near future to install a window air conditioner.

Contacted Mr. Young by phone, he asked me several questions regarding the job to be done and existing service and gave me a ball park quote on the phone I was very pleased with. I was hoping to get it taken care of as soon as possible, and we scheduled a meeting for him to look at the job for the following day. He called later that day and had an opening to look at it that evening if I wanted to, I did, and we met and he reviewed the job that day. After reviewing the job in person, I was relieved he confirmed the estimate he gave me was accurate. While there, we discussed upgrading the existing aluminum feed into the house and I decided to do that as well. He said he would start tuesday at 8:00, I gave him a $100 deposit for materials and he showed up promtly at 8:00 on tuesday. He was well equipped, prefessional and knoweldegable. When he removed the panel, it was clear the prior installation of a backup utility switch was improperely wired and was going to need additional work on his part. I have been in the construction industry in the past, and expected the price to jump with this discovery, I was extremely he didn't charge a penny more for what would have been justifiable. His work was clean, organized and thoughtful. He clearly takes pride in his work and his profession and I would absoulutly recommend him to friends and family.

Bathrooms had no exhaust fans in home and breakfast bar needed lights. Home was recently purchased by us and we are remodeling as we go. Job was done at quoted price and he was very accommodating with sheduling a time.

I made an appointment with Andy for the 17th of October for between 8am and 9am. Andy arrived at 8am on the dot with screwdriver in hand ready to tackle the jobs I had described to him on the phone. He either has a very good memory or he wrote some notes about what we had talked about because he remembered everything we had discussed. He discovered the switch for the outside lights had been tucked in the wall behind a blank switch plate and replaced the switch with and new wall plate. He replaced the light fixture in the middle of the garage ceiling where the garage door opener was plugged in with a cheap bulb plug adaptor with a new outlet and covered the hole where the fixture was. On to the GFI in the bathroom where it was found to be malfunctioning. Replaced and on to the outlet in a bedroom that was not working. To his and my surprise it was found to be a small wall safe disguised as an outlet. No wonder it didn't work. When it comes to electric I leave it to the professionals and Andy is definitely one. Andy, thanks again for your work. Thanks to Angies list I have found an electrician for life.

The man came for the estimate. He stated that he needed a bigger ladder and that he would be back on Tuesday. He never came back. When I call to check on things they hang up on me.

I chose not to go with this company even for an estimate because they charge an upfront fee. I've contacted several companies to come for estimates and this is the only one that wanted money just to come look. That said, the man on the phone asked intellegent questions regarding my projects, which made me feel they would be capable to handle the project had I been willing to pay the fee. He also advised me if they did any work the fee would be applied towards the work.

He found the problem right away and it was fixed within 45 minutes.
