Young Electric Inc

We have no fault with Mr. Young's work, but he charged an enormous amount of money for less than 3 hours of work. We felt that he talked for at least 2 of the 3 hours. When he gave us the bill, nothing was broken down as to Parts and Labor. $525 with minimal parts was very expensive. We wouldn't use him again.

Installer of new A/C systems after approx. 10 has not been able to prevent the system outages. Mr. Young doesn't believe he found and fixed any cause, however with his thorough inspection we are able to eliminate the electrical system as the cause. Any further outages will be fully attributable to the A/C installer. After over a week the A/C system has had no outages, so we are hopeful that further repair will not needed. And we have good security knowing the electric system is in good shape, because Mr. Young inspected and reported so thoroughly. In addition Mr. Young was extremely professional, prompt and courteous in rendering his services. I will definitely contact him first for any electrical needs in the future.

2 day delay because his truck broke down. Original He had estimated 1 hour of labor at $125, to which I agreed. When he came to the jobsite, he arrived in a car, not a truck, and then told me that the two previous days he did have work to do, and used the car. I guess my job seemed less important to him than others, since he cancelled my 7/23 Tues appt. He and his son arrived at 8:20am, I left for work at 9am. At 9:40, when finished, my wife called me and said he wanted $250 since it was a larger job than he'd expected. I supplied the cable. I supplied the splitter. I supplied the cable outlet box, and my instructions to him were to snip the cable in the attic, use the splitter to re-connect the old cable to the cable outlet, and run the wire to the new cable outlet from the splitter.. What he did instead was run extra wires down the wall to the existing cable outlet, then up from there back to the attic, THEN down the wall to the "new" location. I am sure that extra work is what caused the time overrun, and the time overrun was no where near an hour! It was more like 20 minutes. I got Mr Young on the phone, and stated clearly I had no intention of paying him $250 for his 1 hour 20 minutes of work (which, frankly, he milked by 20 minutes). We settled on $187.50, with which I was still not happy (1.5 hours at $125/hr). My advice...get the estimate CLEARLY in writing and if there is a time or expense . If I had to do it all over again, the delay, because of vehicle problems, should have been a tip off, and I should have just engaged some one else.

I am very happy with the results of all the work Young Electrics did in my home! One of our bathroom exhaust fans had broken and needed to be replaced. I added a ceiling fan with lights to the den. We renovated the kitchen and changed the black granite counters and back-splash for a light color with shades of gray on white background, so I wanted to replace black outlets and plates with light grey. They were prompt, friendly & courteous. The owner, Andy Young and his helper, Jake did an excellent job and worked in an efficient and professional manner. They answered our questions and gave advice when asked. I recommend them highly and I would definitely use them again. All work was completed while they were here.

He came out right away and did the job. I would use him again.

Mr Young fixed our disposall in no time. He looked at our hood which had some electrical problems, but advised us it would probably be more economical to replace the unit. In the meantime, he discovered some hot wires which could have caused a real problem! Very professional, prompt, and courteous. I definitely recommend him.

Andy arrived on time and completed the project in record fashion. He has done several other electrical projects for us over the course of the past few years and always does excellent work.

Young Electric is the first time I used Angies List. Andy Young (the owner) is the best electrical contractor I have ever used . All, far exceeded my expectations. I am now a big fan of Angies list, and will call Andy Young for all future needs.

Andy came by at 8:00 AM just as he promised and looked at a ceiling fan that wouldn't work. He took it apart, fixed the problem and even supplied a missing screw that held the thing together. All done and I was on my way to work by 9:15! I would certainly recommend him.

Andy did all that he promised in a pleasant and efficient manner and he tells some amusing ancedotes. The replaced electric fuse box is a work of art.

He came and repaired that and took care of a few little items at the same time because I paid him for an hour and he wanted to give me value for that. The price included all the materials needed.

I received a quote on Tuesday and by the following Monday he was at my home ready to go. He arrived on time, installed the lighting perfectly, cleaned his mess, and did this in record time. He was more knowledgeable than the others I called and his price was right in line with everyone else. I could not be more pleased! If you need lighting done in your home than you should use Young Electric Inc.

It went very well. Andy was very thorough in testing everything out and even called a friend who does appliance repair to get his input. Andy's initial assessment was correct...the problem was with the dryer rather than the circuit breaker.

It was great. Andy showed up on time, he figured what needed to be done. He promptly scheduled a follow-up and did the work. The second time, we told him what we needed and he came and did it in just a couple days. Really good at what he does and a pleasure to work with.

Andy Young of Young Electric was punctual and professional. He arrived exactly at the scheduled time and quickly and efficiently performed the work. He was accommodating to my needs and questions and very personable. The workspace was covered during the job and cleaned up and returned to it's original state at completion. For me, this is not a one time experience, I have relied on Young Electric for all my household electrical needs for over 10 years!

Sent Andy an email directly from this site. He called back within a few minutes. I called him the next day , explained I needed 6 can lights installed & wanted two rows of 3 with separate switches. We scheduled for a day later. He was on time, very easy to talk to & began work right away. He kept me informed during stages of work to see light locations before cutting the ceiling & after the first install to see how light looked. Andy will answer any questions anytime. He also helped us with a switch problem (2 switches) & didn't charge for it. I would recommend this Co. without reservation!

Did excellent work but we were not aware he was charging by the hour. We should have asked him (although he never offered) before he did any work because we paid dearly for his sociality. We paid for three hours of work that took him no more than one and a half hours at most. If you can limit his socializing, he is definitely worth using.

It's Monday: do you know how many service professionals are flooded with calls on Monday? Andrew is no exception, but immediately scheduled me in, showed up EARLY, surveyed the problem, not only fixed the initial problem but asked questions and suggested a long-term solution (new outlet) versus temporary fix. He's been at it 40 years: he knows his stuff. It was great! We will definitely use Young Electric in the future!

I contacted Andrew based on all the positive reviews on Angie's List. He promptly returned my call in which I explained what was happening with the existing fixture. He provided me with suggestions as to replacements. Repair date was set-up as well. Andrew arrived right on time, which certainly is a plus. The old motion light was swapped out for the new one. The light was tested and worked. That evening we tested the light again and appeared that it wasn't sensing motion. I sent an email off to Andrew through Angie's List regarding the problem. Within 5 minutes our phone rang and it was Andrew providing me with suggestions on how to fix the possible problem. We followed his suggestions on adjusting the fixture. To our surprise Andrew again made a follow-up call as to whether the fixture was operating properly. I would highly recommend Andrew and wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

This is the 3rd time using Andy and would not call anyone else. Andy is prompt and works efficiently and is professional. Price is very reasonable considering how fast the work is done. Highly recommend Young Electric.

When I first called the company, I spoke directly with Andy Young to install a 220v outlet for an Electric Vehicle charger. I also mentioned that I had a few other lingering issues that I'd like to resolve on the same visit. It was clear from the questions Andy asked that he would be well prepared when he arrived. We set an appointment for 8-830am and he arrived prompt at 8am. I couldn't be happier with Andy. I am generally a do-it-yourself person, but knew that a professional job was needed for this short list. Not only did he do a great job, but also welcomed my watching and learning and he explained not only what he was doing, but why he was doing it. He was clearly very experienced and took pride in doing a thorough and professional job. It would be a pleasure to use Andy again and I hope I have that opportunity.
