I had already purchased the parts to install a small 1,000 watt system. But I had stalled out because I didn't know how to proceed with the permit process. They finished the design work and walked it through permiting, not an easy task since this was fairly new to Palm Beach County. Vergona provided the racks to mount my PV panels and installed them on the roof. They also pulled the wiring down to the inverter panel which I had installed myself. Since this was their first installation, we used it as somewhat of a training session and we had more help then we needed. I was fine with that since they had been so flexible about my providing my own equipment and doing some of the work. The whole thing took only one day and was very nicely crafted. It has worked perfectly for three years with no problems and no need for any additional service.

Since this is rather new technology in terms of every day deployment the process went more slowly than we had anticipated. Also, the loss of the valued partner in the business half way through the process due to illness slowed things down a bit. Vergona's crew worked tirelessly when on site and cleaned up completely after each day of work. The wiring you see when you remove panels on the breaker boxes and junction boxes is almost art it is done so meticulously and well. Again, some of the delays were due to our town having never seen a system like this and their having to call in electrical code inspectors from the county. Overall I feel our choice of this contractor was the right one. They have impeccable technical credentials. The engineer in charge was a former professor emeritus in electrical engineering at a local university. The company is heavily involved in keeping up with the newest technology and they really care about their customers.
