Urban Solar Group

I've never been more disappointed with a company than I am with Urban Solar Group. It's been over three months since I first reported a serious issue with my master bedroom, and despite multiple assurances from Dax, their customer service representative, my problem remains unresolved. The problem began when I had solar panels installed by Urban Solar Group. Since then, I've had not one, not two, but THREE separate leaks in the same spot in my master bedroom. This has resulted in a persistent and nauseating smell of mildew or mold that has made the room practically uninhabitable. What's truly infuriating is the lack of urgency and accountability on the part of Urban Solar Group. Dax, the person I've been in contact with, seems to be stuck in a never-ending loop of "waiting for manager approval" to repair the roof. Three months and still no resolution? It's absolutely unacceptable! I've been a patient and understanding customer throughout this ordeal, but my patience has run dry. I trusted Urban Solar Group to provide quality service, and they have utterly failed to deliver. I shouldn't have to live with a damaged and mold-infested bedroom for this long after installation. If you're considering Urban Solar Group for your solar needs, I urge you to think twice. Based on my experience, their customer service and ability to address issues are severely lacking. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a reliable solar provider. My hope is that no one else has to endure the same frustrating experience that I have with this company.

We were referred to Urban Solar and we will be referring them to all our neighbors. Chad R. managed our project and expectations perfectly and was very active in keeping us up-to-date and answering our questions quickly (request him directly!) The installation crew worked quickly but also respected our property (they need garage and attic access) and made sure to confirm with me before they did anything that wasn't previously mentioned: Clearing the area in front of my breaker panel; cutting an access panel directly below it; clearing a bush in front of the equipment mounted on the side of our home; and accessing the attic. They cleaned up after themselves and left our garage cleaner than they found it. The app they provide to monitor (enphase) works well too! Payment was 25% at signing, 50% on first day of construction, and 25% on final day of construction. Listed cost is BEFORE the tax rebate, so we paid ~$1.95 per watt -- no other solar company could come close to this figure.

Scam. Stay away. They ruined me and my family's lives with their horrible service. My parents are now losibg their home due to poor practice.

HORRIBLE FRUSTATING COMPANY THAT SONT ANSWER THERE OWN PHONES AND DONT RETURN YOUR CALLS OR MESSAGES. I PAID $88,000.00 FOR AN OVERBUILT SOLAR SYSTEM AND STILL PAY $300 FPL BILL. I WAS TOLD I WOULDNT HAVE A FPL BILL EXCEPT $11. I NOW PAY $700 A MONTH FOR ELECTRICITY THAT USED TO COST ME AT THE MOST $400 WITH FPL. COME TO FIND OUT THAT THEY WIRED THE DUPLWX BACKWARDS BUT WONT REFUND 2.5 YEARS WORTH OF PAYING FOR THERE MISTAKE. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE FPL BILL WENT DOWN BUT STILL HAVE A $200 AM MONTH FPL BILL AND NOONE WILL RETURN MY CALLS OR ANSWER THERE PHONES EXCEPT AN ANSWERING SEEVICE. THEY HIDE BEHIDE AN ANSWERING SERVICE BECAUSE OF ALL THE COMPLAINTS! CUATOMER SERVICE IS TOTALLY RUDE!! I WILL BE SHOWING UP ON PERSON IN ORDER TO TALK TO A URBAN SOLAR SUPERVISOR. JUST HORRIBLE COMPANY.

I hate to disagree with Kathleen, BUT, this is the worst company to deal with that I have ever encountered. I signed a contract for a large ground mount system with three batteries last June. I also requested via email that Urban include my existing whole house generator with their permit. I was ignored. After numerous delays and broken promises, I actually spoke to the owner in the middle of October concerning these delays and about the generator. He was "to look into it". Soon the permit application was submitted and the generator was included. The permit has been rejected three times since then and the generator was omitted from the second and third resubmissions. I inquired several times via email about this removal. I was ignored. I received an email on 1/4/23, more than six months after my initial request to have the generator included. In it the president stated that they do not apply for permits that they haven't performed the work. Even though the initially did.??? I responded to his email and haven't heard a word from him in over a week. To say that communication with Urban solar is bad would be a gross understatement. It is and has been HORRENDOUS! I would definately NOT recommend this company to anyone who is looking to add solar to their home.

I have had nothing but problems for months and I am over it. My husband and I were told by Aubrey that we would not have an fpl bill and would actually get money back at that end of the year. The panels are not working correctly. Texts to my original contact go unanswered. No one shows up to correct or even check the problem. Calls to main office are not returned. Contacted the BBB, company said they would call me. No response. In the meantime my fpl bill is over $500 (still paying for panels) and the panels are only working at 20%. I do not recommend this company at all to anyone.

Look no further! If you are considering solar panels for your home or business, we already did the research for you! After deciding to install solar panels on my 1950s Florida bungalow, my son and I spent MONTHS researching the local solar panel companies and narrowed the list down to the top five. Then we had intensive meetings with all five of the solar companies, some virtual and some in person. After more due diligence (even searching court records and the Better Business Bureau) we finally decided to go with Urban Solar. Not only did they offer the best financing terms and interest rate, but we were most impressed with Andy Hopta (561-723-9717) who was our initial point of contact. Andy was impressively thorough and honest and designed the perfect configuration for my home. He is also just an all-around great guy and such a pleasure to deal with. Andy oversaw our entire installation from start to finish and was always available to answer the numerous questions we had. The entire staff of Urban Solar was remarkable – from the installers who worked diligently to get the job done swiftly and efficiently to the Vice President of Operation Rhiannon Eslahi who personally guided us from start to finish and even gave us her cell phone number! As we all know, customer service at this level is extremely rare these days. We could not be happier with our solar system, and it truly is one of the best decisions I have ever made. The panels have only been up for two months are we are already seeing significant savings (my FPL bill this month is $10). We are also exporting tons of energy to the grid and doing our part to combat climate change. Another major benefit is the HUGE tax credit – and if you are going to get panels installed, do it soon before they get rid of “net metering!” Tell Andy you saw this review and he’ll give me a cookie!

This company and its owners are looking how to cheat people. I referred them a multi million dollar home and customer and did not pay me the promised fee and on top of that my friend and their client was not delivered the system offered. So you know the system was over $150K. !!!!!!!

Mike and his staff waked me through the entire process of procuring an FPL, installation, savings, warranty, etc. Very professional and reliable. The install took about 2 days once permits were approved by the city, which they took care of. The guys that did the work were employees, not third party contractors which makes a big difference in the quality and responsiveness of the service (in my opinion). Looking forward to much lower electric bills this summer, thanks guys!
