TRAPPER JOHN

If I could give this company a negative star rating, I would. Quite possibly the biggest ripoff I have ever come across. Paid this company over $1200 to resolve a rodent issue. The ONLY reason I agreed to use them was their 12 mos. warranty. We showed the first repairmen where the problems were, and he made his repairs. He ignored our comment that part of the problem was in the kitchen, and did not make any repairs there. The repairmen said the problem was a hole near the roof eave, so he patched an area up there yet the problem continued. A second repairmen came out. He made additional patches at the base of the CBS house wall and told us "you've got me for 12 months. Any problems call me." We did call him. We even took videotape which recorded the noises we were hearing and the location, and gave it to the repairman. That repairman left the company and a third repairman came out. He told us the problem was under the house, and supposedly patched another hole under the house. The problem continued. After 5 visits in 5 months without any success in eliminating the problem, we were told by "Scott" that the "warranty" only covers the repairs they made and the only repairs they will do is put out some glue traps for an additional $295. Scott confirmed evidence that the rodents were still in the house but said "I don't know how they're getting in". I wish he would have told me that up front and saved me the $1200. What a joke. This company is a complete scam. Stay away.

In general, a positive experience. We have a pack A/C unit on the side of our house and a opossum found his way under the hood and into area between the ductwork and the home. Not a bad place for a opossum if you're looking for a place to live...not so much for us. Trapper John came out, baited some traps and got everything the first night. Step 2 was closing up holes so nothing gets back in. Cages were placed on entry points on the roof and cage/concrete was used to close the holes around the A/C unit. While the concrete work and cages on the roof aren't aesthetically great, everything that they did was effective. I also had a feeling that they would stand behind their work critters got back in.

MY SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. PAUL CHARGED ME EXTRA TO REPLACE SOFFIT ON MY PORCH. THEY LEFT TRASH BEHIND FOR SEVERAL DAYS. HE REFUSED TO SET MORE TRAPS ULESS I HIRED HIM TO REPLACE ALL MY SOFFITS. THE WORK WAS SHODDY. I ALSO HAD A HOUSE FULL OF FLIES BECAUE HE DIDN'T EMPTY THE TRAPS PROPERLY.
